Agreed. When I watch him, I'm trying to find an analogy to something I somewhat understand. Ray compares his left foot to the most renowned violin. Nah. The ball is a violin. When Messi curves a free kick seemingly 10 feet into a space the size of a bread box, you've just witnessed Paganini playing a violin. When he makes a pass that is so perfect that everyone in attendance gasps, you're watching Carlos Kleiber conduct. When he dribbles past half a squad leaving some on their backsides, you're seeing Bach compose a work that can not be performed by humans. Then, when he chips over the keeper, 'cheeky' Ray calls it, it's Edward VanHalen making elephant sounds on guitar. Messi is the most creative, intuitive, and dominant athlete (short of Ricky Carmichael in motocross) that I've ever witnessed. He has single handedly made me a fan of soccer. He's inspiring and a joy to watch. Humble too. Unlike someone that I won't mention...

"They tell me that all men are equal in the eyes of god but this man seriously makes you think about those words." "In the United states, we give hurricanes a name. If they ever call one Lionel Messi, you'd better evacuate, people." "Waahhh.. are you kidding me? This man is absolutely mainline to pure footballing magic that belongs in a different galaxy altogether." "Welcome to Lionel's world, Where the insane becomes the predictable." "I tell you what, if Issac Newton was watching this man, he would be saying boy was i wrong? Astonishing from Lionel. Sweeter than a mother's kiss at bed time." "Again.. Where the insane becomes the routine with this man. He is nothing less than a ball whisperer." "AAHHH!!!!!.... Excuse me for being excited people, but we've just witnessed a goal that would wake up a catatonic! Astonishing skill that literally takes the breath away. Phenomenal football and there's no answer to that. You can't coach against this. It's pure genius is what it is!" "On penalty assist-- He's absolutely shakespearean, The Shakespeare got it wrong. It wasn't King Lear, it's King Leo!" "Do you wanna know what pure adrenaline looks like, in the human form? This is what it looks like and it's wearing a number 10 shirt." "Lionel Messi, you could drop a tarantula into his shorts and he'll still be cool." "It is like...he's playing a tambourine on his knee." "He soaks up the defenders like a paper towel soaks up milk." "Footballing's bird of paradise is fluffing his feathers beautifully." "Angles mean nothing to this man - he could decorate a rose and make it look better." "Messi invents passing lanes, he doesn't look for them." "He abides in the magnetic spectrum of genius with the ball. Pure footballing magic." "Lionel Messi, the nerve of a cat burglar. He's as cool as the seeds inside a cucumber." "Arrives like a witch on a broomstick and produces the hocus pocus in front of goal." "He arrives like a ghost in the night. There ain't any tracking of him....X-rays couldn't track this guy down." "They tell me that all men are equal in God's eyes, this guy makes you seriously think about those words."

Remember it has to be all about Messi whereas Ronaldo is a great team player whilst also having the best individual record.. If you think Ronaldo is just a celebrity you clearly haven't seen him n shit you've never seen Messi either.. Cringey foreign plastic sap hahah

You're so right to shed tears, I often get the same feeling. I am more than honored to watch playing. They call me selfish when because I always feel not completely happy when Barca wins or play without him, I have to watch him. I don't need anything but watching him makes me as a spare time activity. Leo is my passion !

Mr. Ray, I cry too many times watching Messi. Crying of joy because is so much beauty, so much talent. Like you said, how many years playing like that and I already fear when he decides what nobody wants right now.
Thank you because you and Bill are the best complements for this kind of ART!

Watching Messi play is like watching a ballerina's performance. He's graceful, beautiful, artistic, precise in his placements. Creative like a draftsman or famous painter. The third goal omg, He scores goals that seem absolutely impossible to make, unimaginable to attempt. That left foot is a gem.

Both legends to be respected and remembered.
