  • If you want to remove a Kenworth sleeper this is the best kit on the market. The cab will be 5'' deeper and you will get more leg room than a factory day cab. The kit has the look of a traditional day cab and can easily be installed at you shop. Check out our website for more photos and directions.

    I retired from one just almost a twin, 725 HP kitty, 18sp trans, 373 rears shut in @98 mph, but didn't matter how big a load, or steep hill, flats downhill 98 topped out. Wasn't fast but you'd best keep your asses in a fast ride, or you'd never catch me

    Can't haul asphalt with a studio sleeper! This truck got 2 drop axles and a new aluminum dump box.
    Sleeper weight was around 1,200 lb

    its so sad to see a nice studio sleeper ripped off a truck. its not like it helps u get into places better because your wheelbase stays the same. ...? weight wise its not a big difference

      Can they take a day cab and add a sleeper to it?

    • @Tyler-xe1es
      @Tyler-xe1es Před 6 lety

      BigTymin Doing this allows you to haul oversize material out the front of the trailer. On our 99 pete 379s that were bunk trucks and we took it off we can hang 7 and half ft out the front. Allowing 60ft material on a 53 ' trailer and we dont have to put oversize shit on. Peterbilts the older trucks are actually the only trucks with detachable bunks on them. Dont have to do what they did here.

    Sorry for bashing but why didn’t the guy just buy a w9 day cab? Way to ruin a classic and beautiful truck like the w9.

      Hi Zac
      It’s a lot better to shorten a frame than stretch one out.
      Almost all day cab trucks are short wheel base and are completely wore out at 800,000 miles.
      This customer made a sweet dump truck, with a large Alum box.

      Ya wrong truck/ he said they converted it to a dump truck. Not heavy enough spec for a dump truck

      @holmes1956O Před 5 lety

      Marc Wagers who ever told you stretching a frame was not a good idea doesnt know anything about stretching frames. I have been doing that for over 30 years /you cant even find where I stretch them just walking around looking at them and I guarantee my welds for life. Never had one come back or fail

    Can anyone answer
    Why do they convert sleeper cab to Day cab?

    • @Tyler-xe1es
      @Tyler-xe1es Před 6 lety +1

      Muhammad Faisal When a company doesent want an older truck on the highway and they want it local this is what they do. Saves $.

      Its cheaper to buy a truck with a bunk than a day cab. So the answer is money

    • @Adam_rdz1777
      @Adam_rdz1777 Před rokem

      Maybe because they like it more and they only do local work instead of going to other states or far places.
