25th Annual Ocean State 9-Ball Championship. Earl Strickland vs Jayson. Tournament held at Snookers Sports Billiards Bar & Grill Providence Rhode Island
even when earl isn't playing his best game he always shoots the shot correctly.the speed English always are pretty much on he is the worlds greatest.efren does fancier kicks but earl is the solidest. game
these two should never commentate together ever!! They both think they know best but when you listen Al is pretty correct and the other guy is freaking annoying.
lol and he will cry, bitch and throw his arms in the air after not having a shot or not making anything on the break. oh and don't forget about those "cheating" jump cues, stupid fucking earl retire already.
9:08 commentator say Jayson missed the 4 ball on the pro side. Negatory, he missed it on the amateur side. The pro side would have been too thin to make it. Jayson hit it too fat to make it.
This pool table looks very Similar to the one I just bought, I have no clue what I bought. I know it's a little over 8'. Has no name or markings on it. Can anyone help me figure out what it is?
PLEASE keep Larry out of the frickin booth -.- "oh poor old guy don't be mean!" NO this guy kept interrupting his partner and had this cocky "I KNOW IM RIGHT BUT KEEP TALKING" Attitude. LETS TALK ABOUT THE ACTUAL MATCH
nice match, I enjoyed it a lot, and great shooting by both of them. too bad earl gave up early. I wish he would have atleast fineshed it out, for fun if nothing else. its kinda sad when some people forget how to have fun with it. its still a game even when your playing for money.
For some reason I've had trouble actually believing that Jayson Shaw is as good as he is. I have no idea why though. Well, after few months of watching him play, I'm a believer now and there is no doubt in my mind anymore. He's a phenomenal player and as good or better than anyone in the game. As much as love watching Earl play this game, (he's my number 1 pick as far as loving to watch a player) somehow, and there are many like him, his emotional maturity has not changed over the years. He is unable to deal with losing is the main thing. And when he's not getting good rolls and his opponent is he goes into a dark place mentally and feels like he is being cheated. He cannot see the big picture. Over the course of his career he has gotten just as many good rolls as his opponents and the only difference is, they don't stomp around and act like a baby when it happens to them, for the most part. He has no shame which is surprising to me. I would be embarrassed if I acted like Earl when he is melting down. What does he think anyway, if I stomp around, whine, break sticks etc somehow this is going to change what has happened ? Having said all that I have seen much much worse behavior on the pool table. Earl is fairly mild during his childish immature rants. And like I said, he's still my favorite player to watch because of his insanely high level of play and also his speed of play.
anyone who can win back to back us opens is a great player.. a really good pro might do it once, but back to back nowadays with the toughness of the fields, it's elite status.
I totally agree with what you said, but I think the pool God's do have a beef with Earl. 😂 It's like they decided if he was going to be that good, he would have to face a lifetime of bad rolls, and only fall short to one player that would be just as good, but with lucky rolls. . Efren Reyes 😁
People that actually KNOW Earl don't think he's a d!ck.... Earl has REAL mental issues that he has to deal with the only way he knows how.... It's really only SOFT and weak minded people that take it personally and get all in there feelings about it... I would bet money Earl argues and curses HIMSELF when playing all Alone...! It's a type of coping devise.... The time he broke his stick... THAT'S what he's coping with... Anger issues. Being argumentative is a way of releasing some of that emotion and anger without completely losing his sh!t.... lol I also think he knows he plays a bit better a little pissed off, so he may sometimes creates a little drama intentionally... I would also bet there's many times he wishes he wasn't that way, and has to deal with how he feels about after the fact... Many can recognize and relate to it, I've broken more than a few things... lol
watch very very closely at 37:22 as earl skoots the cue ball from the rack area over towards the kitchen, a definite violation of thermo dynamics involved here.
there is no question about earls ability and temper ..... but i do have a sense of remorse for the older players who have had to adjust thru the years on fast tables ,,,,,,,,,,, watch earl hit balls he just cant let his stroke out and it is frustrating because i have the same exact problem with a long pool stroke and less talent ,,,,,,,,,,, jason has most likely never played much in the mud so to speak .
Earl has become a little less consistent lately. He knows that he could shoot better. And he lets that frustration translate to hi game. He kinda reminds me of Fats. He starts talking when he's beating himself.
Right? Nice to see another Earl Strickland fan. Watch his almost perfect match against Jayson Shaw in the Turning Stone Classic and the insane fluke win by SVB in the finals.
Earl's mental game broke down again. I sometimes wonder though how often he's won matches behaving like that, which is why he has a tendency to resort to it. How come no one ever calls him out on sharking? No matter how you look at it the behavior is unacceptable because it affects the integrity of professionalism in the matches. There's a reason there are codes of conduct for behavior in tournaments. If he would start being penalized for each episode, he'd eventually be forced to change or just stop continuing in tournaments. Make him adapt and adhere to the rules that everyone else abides by.
His opponent, also one of the greatest players in the world, has also been know to rage quit on occasion. It's funny to watch all the posters eagerly pound out their opinions concerning the players' characters after an incident like this. Please keep us apprised of your ongoing evaluations Waxknuckle. You are obviously and truly a "professional person".
I don't care what level I play at if my opponent doesn't have enough respect not to throw the balls around the table and then to throw them down table at me he's getting punched
I'm really surprised Earl didn't try to kick at the 4-9 combo. I don't blame him for conceding the match after giving up the ball in hand though, since he clearly wasn't shooting at the top of his game and Jayson was, but he could have been a BIT more gracious.
both are great player , earl is very good player , but i think he dont have attitude at all to all of his opponent , so shame great player cant hv a lil bit a honour
At around 26:43 one of the commentators actually said, "Jayson knows that Earl doesn't like to jump." What??? Has he ever seen Earl play a match? He jumps with the best of em .. And Earl is 100% right when he said that Jayson is worse than him when it comes to complaining. Jayson has gotten sooooooo much worse since then too. He's the biggest baby in professional pool. By a long shot. And he breaks his cue in half...Haha! He's such a fucking baby.....It's really tough to believe he's gotten worse but he has. He just accused SVB of cheating at the Derby last month. But only when he started losing of course. He's a huge sore loser. Must have a lot of participation trophies at the house. And before anyone says how great he is, I agree that he's a damn good player...
The “pool gods”……really?! How many more “gods” are humans going to invent before they realize there’s no evidence for ANY of them?! The sooner people dump the gullibility that is “faith” the better. What a baby Earl is.
Unsportsmanship ruins the legendary gesture.. No matter how great he plays, how great his achievements; all in vein if one's attitude sucks.. Luck is a part of game.. Nobody can help it.. Shit talk and rude behave is totally not acceptable... Very disappointing to see a legend like Earl is so unsportsmanlike...
even when earl isn't playing his best game he always shoots the shot correctly.the speed English always are pretty much on he is the worlds greatest.efren does fancier kicks but earl is the solidest. game
Love the way Earl moves the cue ball around. My favorite player to watch.
26:55 "JUMP WITH THE FUCKING CUE EARL" LMFAO
This is by far the funniest match I've ever seen Earl is hilarious when he's angry he DGAF LMAO. Still an all time great but a bitter 1 as well.
Shaw is playing like an absolute animal these days. Very smooth.
ShAw!
Earl is a brilliant player.
even when earl isn't playing his best game he always shoots the shot correctly.the speed English always are pretty much on he is the worlds greatest.efren does fancier kicks but earl is the solidest. game
Thanks for the upload :)
The Commentary is Electrifying..... If it was on Mute, I might have not fallen asleep trying to watch this.
Earl seems enjoying the game very much. No nasty fully locked in safety, no jump cue, is there any other game could be this ideal for Earl.
Shaw's gained a lot of ink and weight since this match.
these two should never commentate together ever!! They both think they know best but when you listen Al is pretty correct and the other guy is freaking annoying.
37:22 earl with the cue ball.....wtf, how in thee h!
Jedi mind trick *_____*
Backspin. ;)
lol @ 26:55 "jump with the cue Earl, jump with the fucking cue".
Earl is the Man
Nice One Earl ..! That's the Spirit
POOL COMMENTARY IS UNNECESSARY. PLAY ELEVATOR MUSIC INSTEAD
Earl can still play with anyone at a high level.
lol and he will cry, bitch and throw his arms in the air after not having a shot or not making anything on the break. oh and don't forget about those "cheating" jump cues, stupid fucking earl retire already.
That's all true, but I don't think he can afford to not have things go his way. Don't think he has anything else ya know?
***** I see what you're saying.
What's with the UPS uniforms?
The commentary is like a having an annoying pair of gas bags sitting next to you while you try to enjoy the match.
Gasbags!!! Hahahaha so true and couldbt be more funnily explained!
my mistake, he backspins it, I saw it now! that totally had me for a minute there.
Nice camera work!!!
My favorite player Jason shaw man he is good
love how they have nixon commentating
Zionism toHell 😂😂😂😂😂👍
Lol we love you early never change

Larry - "I'm an old man". You CERTAINLY are!
I like Larry and Moe and Curley.
The sound man was packing his pudd!!
UPS?
I hate the way earl holds the cue, it's weird but that's probably why he's so good
Damn Larry you really wanted Earl to win
Is Earl playing with a full deck?
Larry is an og respect it

@@ruskyhrahsel7723 👻~ 🙌😃
this game fast dudes
Hell of an out by Jayson at 42:30. All that traveling and he never hit another ball.
i just realized that i have the same stroke as jayson, fast and smooth with authority
Yes I have the same stroke, BUT I MISS, Jayson rarely does!
watch very very closely at 37:22 as earl skoots the cue ball from the rack area over towards the kitchen, a definite violation of thermo dynamics involved here.
I seen that. How the hell do you explain that? You can't even do that with a cue stick.
***** It WAS weird the way is slid over and then didn't seem to slow down, it just STOPPED!
It had just the right amount of spin to make a complete stop.
"Let's put these two guys in a steel cage". Wrong two. :-)
Earl got pissed XD
Honestly! ! I enjoyed these commenters arguing more than the game itself lol
27:37 Jayson is perfectly walking like the player on the table next to him
J P this is why I love the internet
What a dumb comment
5:47, Ma-hermerd Ali
Yeah. About time they could pronounce the stuff they're saying! This commentary is pathetic.
30:57
37:22 Earl makes stop shot but no cue
It is true that Earl is a great player - but what a baby he can be..
Yes
Shut up old man
Why would anyone root for Earl. He could at least show some class to the lefty who steam rolled him.
Charles Smith He’s such a baby
37:22 Karate Chop!
Earl can still whine at a high level. Earl is pool. Earl's antics is pool's antics.
there is no question about earls ability and temper ..... but i do have a sense of remorse for the older players who have had to adjust thru the years on fast tables ,,,,,,,,,,, watch earl hit balls he just cant let his stroke out and it is frustrating because i have the same exact problem with a long pool stroke and less talent ,,,,,,,,,,, jason has most likely never played much in the mud so to speak .
Yes, I agree with most of the comments on here, Earl is disrespectful towards his oponent.
44:44 epic
The shot was tricky.. the problem is that he lost his mental at this point. If he would get some control on himself, he could have won the match.
I can just imagine how the people that did some betting on Earl feels.
Earl has become a little less consistent lately. He knows that he could shoot better. And he lets that frustration translate to hi game. He kinda reminds me of Fats. He starts talking when he's beating himself.
Is there a video that I can watch where the great Earl Strickland actually wins a match??
Right? Nice to see another Earl Strickland fan. Watch his almost perfect match against Jayson Shaw in the Turning Stone Classic and the insane fluke win by SVB in the finals.
@@markhowardganzon8992 Thank you. Looking forward to it. 👍
He was calling live plays
Crazy to.see Shaw with no.tatts

Watching earl rage quit like a child is hilarious...pro skills in an amateur person.
His opponent, also one of the greatest players in the world, has also been know to rage quit on occasion. 6:50 omg
Good match, commentators are cool but make laugh bcuz it reminds me of watching "Grumpy Old Men"
Who is this guy larry who doesn't know as much as he say's he does.Nice guy but please.
Well, maybe I was wrong.
Is this commentary or comedy?
lol. Hey, it is what it is.
Earl expresses his true feelings while others suppress and hide their true feelings and put on sportsman-like face
race to 9 is a Joke but 11is okay? Lighten up pal
abusiveFIRE 😂😂😂
Has anyone ever Told Earl that if he played better he wouldn't have to complain as Much!!
Turning point on Earl carrier. Mr. Efren Reyes. Efren is his Nemesis.
in this match earl rage quits and in the other one shaw snapped his cue after losing lmfao these two cannot be in the same room together
So funny seeing him having tantrums on the table, if i was his opponent i would be laughing my head off
annoying petty bickering from the announcers
I don't care what level I play at if my opponent doesn't have enough respect not to throw the balls around the table and then to throw them down table at me he's getting punched
Blake Pilkent
Like listening to a Democrat and a Republican . . . disagree on everything

same old pearl goof 2 the end lol
both are great player , earl is very good player , but i think he dont have attitude at all to all of his opponent , so shame great player cant hv a lil bit a honour
Ega Hariyanto Well said!
Why Earl doesnt respect this beautiful game???
Earl what a bad sportsman
Ok Earl ….I do watch all your games and see your class but you took disrespectful to a new level here..tone it down
This kid plays jam up. There is always a kid isnt there ?
Dude needs to retire from cometary
Is this before Earl found his ass weights? head phones,,googles, hand wraps, helmets,,and duct tape? This match may have caused all that!!
Earl the girl
Strickland needs a slap
Earl realy need a psy, and start doing yoga..
Larry - please retire!!
The “pool gods”……really?! How many more “gods” are humans going to invent before they realize there’s no evidence for ANY of them?! The sooner people dump the gullibility that is “faith” the better.
What a baby Earl is.
It figures these two players are friends, both cry babies who throw balls, break sticks and try to intimidate players.
Earl is the biggest crybaby there is yeah he is a pro he needs to act like it he has been doing this for years and years
He got knocked out a few times when he was in England for being a knobhead.
Earls no gentleman.
No room for sore losers in professional pool tournaments. Shame on Earl.
Unsportsmanship ruins the legendary gesture.. No matter how great he plays, how great his achievements; all in vein if one's attitude sucks.. Luck is a part of game.. Nobody can help it.. Shit talk and rude behave is totally not acceptable... Very disappointing to see a legend like Earl is so unsportsmanlike...
they are both pricks! Just google them ...you will see! Totally bad for a great game!
How hard do you think the referee would laugh if a player cried because my talk in the audience while they were shooting a three pointer?
even when earl isn't playing his best game he always shoots the shot correctly.the speed English always are pretty much on he is the worlds greatest.efren does fancier kicks but earl is the solidest. game
don't you mean that earl can't maneuver around the table as well as Efren
