    Sweet Jesus! I've watched some great matches from Johnny but this is ridiculous! Has anyone else noticed that he batted 1.000?? That's hard enough in 9-ball, but in 10-ball?? Astounding! !!

  • @golfingmadeeasy
    @golfingmadeeasy Před 11 lety +11

    Obviously the commentators shouldn't try to tell us what the players are going to do. They were wrong on Johnny's first three shots. Just comment on what they do, not on what YOU think they're GOING to do.

    Does Archer have some kind of odd nervous tick? Seems if he's leaning over a pocket that has a ball in it he has to take it out and move it to another pocket for no apparent reason.

    • @deltavee2
      @deltavee2 Před 8 lety +2

      +gerv55 Might be too many balls in the pocket for his taste. They will spit the ball back out if it's too full.
      The refs will move them around too, in a lot of the matches

    I disagree. Commentating require risk taking, knowledge and not being afraid to be wrong in order to create a more pleasing experience for the viewer. Otherwise, the commentators would be talling you what you just watched happen, thus giving them the title of "King of the Bleeding Obvious" to the viewer. Hindsight commentators are usually never wring, but they're boring and come off as know-it-alls. Good commentators give the viewer the insight that the player could be experiencing.

    bloody hate the yankee commentators , stating the bloody obvious all the time, the game is NOT that hard fellas, when you can hit the cushion 1 foot before the pocket and STILL pot the ball ......get those pockets shortened across the face and watch everyone suddenly become more accurate. Its just BS to try and take this game seriously ..... and as for allowing someone to continuously break ....... when the table is already stacked for a good potter ...... its not about skill anymore, its a lot about luck on the first game ...... like i said , the rules need changing, the pockets need shortening and the commentators to STFU would be nice ......... Angry Aussie

      I see your point. Put some of us Americans on a Chinese 8-ball table and watch us bobble shots all over the place. But, consider that 99.9% of pool players in America play this game at their local pool hall to have a good time, and their skill level is not even close to these guys. If pin-point precision were suddenly required to pot a ball, most would give up and find something else to do.

      @ontimeconstructions7035 Před 7 lety

    When Strickland stopped the cue ball from dropping at just after the 30 minute mark he definitely shouldn't be doing that but these commentators must be completely blind to suggest that it was ever going anywhere but in the pocket. American pool commentators are across the board the worst in any sport you might care to mention.
