- TEN-BALL: Germany’s Thorsten “The Hitman” Hohmann, 35, was the current U.S. Open 10-Ball champion. His opponent, USA’s Earl “The Pearl” Strickland, 55, was a five-time U.S. Open 9-Ball champion, as well as a former World 9-Ball champion. Both players have the credentials to be deserving winners. I love Danny, but in the first game he said Earl made a ball in the side pocket, and that he learned how to break, then he said but he did not learn to get position on the 1 ball. The problem is, Earl did not make a ball in the side pocket on the break, so it does not even matter he did not have position on the 1 ball. After the break by Earl in game 1 there were still 10 balls on the table, so Danny is losing it.

i agree with Billy on the shot at 1:02:40 . Strickland should have lost his turn. Even Danny says after fluked the 4 ball that it doesn't count but then for some reason doesn't want to question it any further.
The rule is "if you go 'RAIL FIRST', you my luck any ball in. That was the rule. You may disagree with the rule, but we had to abide by the rules that both players agreed too. I reviewed that shot and Earl clearly kicked at that ball.

@@sargentomor4019 Earl lucked another ball in during that shot. That counted because be hit a rail first and was allowed to continue .

I cannot stand it, the commentary is too overwhelming.
I've never heard a more one sided commintary ever against American shooters then Billy especially against Earl Strickland it must be the fact Earl has always and will continue to be such a superior billard's player in any and all games invented over Billy. I just don't see why Jeremy Jones doesn't replace him? Other then to cause controversy in all matches he calls. Danny seemed so much better speaking and at easy back n forth with Jones it was a blessing to watch as well as listen to thier commintary.
