- In this one I take a pendant light shade and turn it into a naturalistic setup complete with moss, ponds, and waterfalls. Sometimes it's the most mundane objects that make for really interesting projects. My hope with this one was to create a neat feature with the pooling ponds that's highlighted by the beauty of the moss.
I hope you enjoy this one! Let me know what you think in the comments!

It’s always fun for me to turn mundane objects into pieces of art, like this one. What do you think of the results? Have a great weekend SerpaSquad!
Super cool what you did with the cups to make the rock waterfall. Super creative. Great work on this one Serpa, and enjoy your weekend as well
"can you add a beta"
Sweet - Spring has sprung - lets go get some moss
Tree moss!! I love it❤
I want to buy it haha, wish you sold some of these!
That tree moss really made it look dope. I like how everything is so deliberately placed, but still looks like it just naturally occurred.
don't be gay...don't say "dope"
I love hearing Tanner talk about his placements and stuff and being proud of what he’s made. I know it’s hard to appreciate your own art so good on him for being able to do it
It’s amazing how diverse something as simple as moss can be, the contrast in texture, and you don’t get tired of looking at it.
I know you have inspired many people to do their own builds but I want to share a different kind of inspiration with you😊.
My 5 year old son loves all sorts of creepy crawlies and animals and one of the ways we spend quality time together is designing new tanks and catching new critters.
We currently have quite a few tanks around the house with everything from snails, fish and grasshoppers.
This was all because I saw one of your videos. They drive my wife crazy, but my won loves them.
Greetings from South Africa
The transformation of the deli cups into the tiered pools blew my mind!
You are a rembrandt in the aquarium field. Love watching you turn nothing into something.
You are so fortunate to have your own supply of tree moss growing on your property! I have paid quite a sum having it shipped to me for my own terrarium builds, but I love the aesthetics they add.
I agree!
I am surrounded by woods my apartment complex. Every building has moss all around it. It's really cool you always find different Kinds.
dude the quality of your content has shot too the moon! keep it up! this is a beautiful and peaceful build, a soothing feel
This is such a classic Serpa setup. Low cost materials with a completely stunning result. And miss, of course. ❤️
I really like when you do waterfall pieces. Your placement of everything looks very natural. I agree, the tree moss sets it off. Very creative on using deli cups for the waterfall base. Love it! Already waiting for the next vid! Have a great week Tanner!
Finally more pond builds, my favorite.
Your creativity is just incredible. It's crazy that you have so many new and different ideas every week, I love it 😍
I started watching this channel months ago and I gradually stopped watching for a few months. Now I'm coming back to this and I'm very happy I did. I've since become interested in table top games which feeds into my love of small, detailed things. The way you carefully glue the rocks and place the moss reminds me of scenery videos I've watched. You could make some of the coolest game tables!
I also made a moss planter a few months ago with three different mosses. One of them looks similar to that "mini pine tree" moss you put in. Liked for moss
There's nothing more satisfying than watching Tanner turn a mess of cheap plastic and glue into an absolute masterpiece
Wow 🤩 there really is no limits to your creativity and imagination! This is so beautiful. The Tree Moss makes the entire scene look like it was pulled directly out of the forest and plopped into that bowl… absolutely magical!
This is one of my favourite terrariums you’ve done.
love the depth, its like a lush cave waterfall. what a lovely piece!
Two things that I have realised and they are. (1) you have a really soothing voice that lull's me and (2) some of your videos remind me of project's I have worked on and the more I watch these videos I can feel that the next time I go into my local town I'll be looking for (clay) initially I have some interesting ideas for new models I want to create.
Love 'n' Light and once again I thank you for sharing ❤❤😊
Reminds me of a stream running through a wooded forest. Absolutely beautiful build.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen deli cups looking so good!
I love this one! The different mosses look really nice. Thanks for the inspiration. I have a 3 gallon vessel terrarium project I’m gathering supplies for, so this is timely for me.
Really cool! I love the tree moss, too.
Wow! Only you could turn a lampshade and moss into a masterpiece!
What a nice repurposing project! When it was nothing but a bowl and a bunch of deli containers glued together, who would have imagined such an outcome? You, of course...
I like the way the tree mosses add variety to the plantings, height-wise. Landscape architects have to do this by mixing trees, shrubs, tall flowers, short flowers, and rock plants. You can do it all with different kinds of moss!
I didn’t even know tree moss was a thing! 💕 love how much you teach people in every build!
You will always get a like just for the moss.
Also the tree moss is pretty sweet!
This is a very cool small build. These types of videos are my favourite, and always make me want to give it a try!
ditto!
Moss, stone, and water - Big LIKE!
Wow that tree moss is really something else! I love it, wish I had it around me!
Turns out. I DO have tree moss around me! All I had to do was know to look for it!
This is your most beatifull piece yet. Its so uncomplicated and elegant. It feels effortless to look at and yet you want to look at it for a long time.
My stress level came down 10 points after staring at the green orb with the black background! Such a fantastic project. Thanks for sharing!!!
absolutly beautiful! well done!
Beautiful build Tanner. I miss these types of simple moss waterfall builds, thanks.
I love the tree moss it gives it a unique view of a small waterfall it turned out to be a beautiful scape
I really love the moss, it's amazing how just variety can make something seems different.
I love growing all kind of plants, I have my few favourites, but moss have a sweet spot for me, I find it kind of magical in it's simplicity.
A like for the design, and a like for the moss!
Moss makes life better
I deliver parcels for my job and this channel has me looking at everyone's lawns, imagining how that patch of green would look in a glass bowl. Keep up the great content!
change your disgusting profile pic
The Tree Moss is one of my Favorites. Beautiful with great scale. Such natural detail to mimic elder trees that I am familiar with.
I don't know if anyone has ever said this about his videos, but he makes every paludarium he makes on the channel look easy
Looking for moss is something Im the most excited about this spring. This build is so cool.
I freakin’ LUV it!! Tree moss gets a Grammy 🏆
This is honestly one of my favorites. Great inspiration for some builds in my future!
That is lovely & the tree moss is ace. You are very lucky to have it in your garden.
I want tree moss now. Never seen it before. The whole design turned out amazing!
I am getting close to filming my own terrarium build because of your videos! They are so satisfying to watch 😍🤩💚
You are absolutely correct about the vibe of moss!!!
Tanner, you did it again sir. Absolutely pure perfection. 🌿
I love being able to go for a walk and take my bucket to collect mosses! Living in the PNW is wonderful for this hobby, although I am partial to tropicals too….orchids and bromiliads, OH MY‼️ I could live in a nursery. lol
I think to this day one of my favorites was the crystal cave with the underwater lights. I'd try something like tht in a slightly bigger tank.
Awesome build! You had me at waterfalls and moss. 😁
Guess I’m looking for tree moss this weekend lmao
Once again you’ve blown my mind with what your able to do with your imagination and some natural resources
It looks really good.
Perfect Saturday Morning with this here build.
Up vote for the MOSS! beautiful as always Tanner. Wearing my Samson T today🐸💜
The Tree moss is featured so well!!!
Living in Oregon and the moss is so prolific here, it's magical ✨️🌿☘️🌱💫
Beautiful system. I especially like the waterfall effect.
I always considered you the moss guy, this video helping further cement that nickname.
I think this is my favorite one you've ever done
You have an incredible landscape to forage! Amazing to see you using what you have available! Keep it up!
I love moss. I don't have quite the variety you do. That tree moss is so cool. Another excellent job
Your projects never fail to awe!
This is one of my favorite peices you've done. Great job Serp
Totally understand about the tree moss. Fantastic!
Tree moss looks awesome.
I just want to point out that, if what we want is the 3 levels of water cascade and we don't need a "lake" at the bottom, we don't even need the connectors and the extra piece of flat glass. We can just let the water flow down (through the hole) to the bowl where the pump is, and pump it back up! As usual, SerpaDesign is beautiful...
My fav out of ALL ur builds! Using recycled items & keeping them out of landfill ♻️♻️♻️
I'm just glad Tanner has a tub full of fittings, bulkheads and misc stuff like that too, makes me feel better about having one, cause this is one of the most organized folks I've seen in any of the various hobbies his projects fall under
That tree moss really made it!
Green is good. Happy spring!
This is so beautifully made, it's truly pure nature art.
Tanner, you're a genius!
Loved the video! Super impressive transformation and the tree moss looks great!
Tanner, you just keep getting better and better ❤️❤️❤️
It’s so simple and basic, but I find it mesmerizing.
Especially that shot of it in the dark. Like some floating little world…
I wish it could contain some teeny tiny little frogs…..
Cant wait to see what little creatures appear 😍😍
I don’t know what else to say except…. I would love you have this. The size and vibe are wonderful.
Love this build! The tree moss is awesome
Liked for the moss alone
You’re awesome as always Tanner!!!
Little tree moss love it Tanna x
I l❤ve moss. The tree moss looks beautiful
This is a great build. Tree moss is awesome!
The tree moss look like many palm-tree. Great work.
Never knew about tree moss but now I'm obsessed🌴
These are the kinds of videos I love most from your channel, little accessible terrariums and paludariums and great inspiration.
Early morning upload, thanks Tanner!
Amazing piece of upcycling on it's own but also a gorgeous moss scape :)
I need to be able to like this multiple times!
Every Saturday is a good day
If you were to collab with a company to build a kit for something like this, I’d totally buy it.
You’re super talented, I’d love to see your work in wildlife exhibits.
Good Morning! Thank you for sharing your amazing designs.
Love the tree moss.
well done tanner, well done.
Yea man, really cool design and i admire how well you hid all the plastic and foam
This is one of the most amazing builds I have ever seen!
Gotta give my like for the moss
