FIV cats actually CAN interact with other cats so long they get along (no deep bites)! Thanks for building this for your furbabies, theyre absolute darlings, and youre such an excellent cat dad
Better to keep them off the streets with or without FIV. There's greater dangers than fighting with other cats unfortunately.
Exactly people need to stop the FIV myths and scare tactics.

My FIV boy has had it for most of his 13yrs. As long as they don't fight there's no problem. Keep on top of any infections and they do well.

After 30 plus years of no daytime issues in my rural setting,heartbroken that I lost my Mr Tibbs to a Golden Eagle,so,there'll be a roof for my springtime build of my Cat Adventure Playground. Glad you don't have that worry. You gave me some good ideas,thanks.

Mate, I love how much effort you’re putting into making fun activities for these cats. I have two cats and people don’t understand.
Several times Mickey and Hazel showed their claws. You might want to consider a scratching post of some kind. Wish I could afford to give my Millie a catio as nice as the one you built. I really loved this video. Thanks for sharing.
I spent a good deal of time this year building a “cat walkway” around the top floor of our house for our indoor cats. That and various shelves means they have plenty to climb on and run around. They’re so much more fun projects than most as the cats love them!

It is obvious that the safety and health of your kits is paramount to you. I am wondering if you are able to take them outside the cattery on a leash & harness??
But putting in many hours of your time you have created for them their own outdoor space where they are safe. All kitties should be so loved!👍😸🐾🌈☮️🇨🇦
This is great, maybe consider putting some old carpet or sisal on the ladder? This will make the cats more stable while they're on it and less likely to fall off, especially after rain, since they'll have something to cling onto with their paws!

Your cats have got their human slave really well trained!
I used to have my whole backyard fenced in with that purr-fect fence product, but I couldn’t keep it secure, and my kitty kept escaping so eventually I had it torn down. But now he is becoming a door-dasher whenever I’m not looking. So I’m thinking it would be wonderful if I could make something like this attached to my dining room window. But I don’t have any of the woodworking tools that you do so I’ll just have to admire from afar.😊

A great project Keith, not too stressful to do as it didn't need to be perfect! I wish more cat owners would take a leaf out of your book and keep their cats at home, instead of allowing them to roam free and use their neighbours gardens as toilets!
I must have spent £100's of pounds over the years on cat prevention methods and replacing/repairing plants etc!
I work as a gardener and come across cat mess on a daily basis.
It's beyond me why people let their cats out, when surely the idea of having a pet is for companionship and company!
You must get a great deal of pleasure watching their antics in their new playground!

Wonderful project! My fur babies would love something like this. I have an injured cat that will never be able to roam freely outside again so she’s confined to being a full time house cat. If I could only afford one for them. You’re such a wonderful cat dad❤!

Your observation that they seem quite content with the artificial grass is the equivalent of buying a child a really great gift and they play with the box ! Perhaps you should have made a bin for Mickey to break into ? 🤔

Using the other board as a spacer is brilliant. I wouldn't have done that. I would have measured and marked and hoped I kept it straight. Just such a simple and clever solution.

Def make them a cat scratcher out there somewhere. 🥰
Once catmint roots get a good hold, they can be put into a small to medium pot and hung up high. Bees and Hummingbirds will visit the flowers and you can nip off leaves or stems to instantly give some to the cats or use to dry to make tea. This allows you to grow catnip without the cats getting into the pot and eating the whole plant. We bought a packet of catnip seeds and sprinkled them into the dirt around the edge of our cemented backyard. Our cats couldn't keep up with the amount of catnip plant that grew and it was encroaching onto the cement by a foot! I ended up having to trim it every few months after it flowered and drying the stems. Made lots of gifts for my cat loving family and friends.

The Cats say Big thank you. I bought a glass ( plastic) cat door, which was circular. I went to my local glass supply shop and they cut a circle to size. Cost me ( from memory) about AUD $25 to cut and $50 for the cat door from a pet shop. A local glass place might be able to do the same, rather than full blown replacement. Mickey seems a very loving cat, but he loves his food 😊

Any videos with your cats in are guaranteed a watch, and this is no exception. I have 4 of them at home myself, and one of them would be just like yours, "assisting" or "supervising" all aspects of the build. In a couple of my videos you can even hear her meowing from outside my workshop door, like 'lemme in y'bugger! You know you're not safe without me checking up on you!'
Anyway, another great video, Keith. Nice work as ever, even a hand saw got in on the action! Cool.

For security reasons, I would recommend putting a flap through the wall. The cats will love it and then you can move the litter boxes outside.
