I'm a big fan of his King of Kings series as well. That one is focused on ancient history.

I just bought this game and I'm super excited to play against my friends and family. These videos have been perfect in teaching me rules and strategies for each nation. Keep up the fantastic work Jonathan!

Nice I like how you started this series with a little historical context, makes appreciating the game better. You definitely know your history
I think you would appreciate my national objective cards, there's a little intro for each country on their cards:

The Great War series being pro British, really? Of all the WWI material I've seen in media, The Great War seems to be very balanced in its treatment of all sides in the conflict. They do seem to consult a lot of British and English sources for material but that is because there is so much English material on WWI compared to other language sources and from other nations. I'm curious to hear from you what on the channel made it feel pro British, do you mind elaborating?

I just took a look and I like those objectives a lot! I think they will add a good degree of additional flavor to the game. Have you played many games with them? Nice work!
With regard to The Great War, off the cuff I can think of a few things in addition to several several occasions during which the British are described as the best soldiers in the world.
When referencing the British Blockade, they make the point of saying the British didn't stop imports of food, and the reason they didn't was because it would have been against international law. What a good upstanding nation! While the international law part was true, it's also true that the British actively blocked foodstuffs and related materials from getting through. That was actually the initial pro-British comment that first made my ears perk up. Then I started re-watching older episodes and began to notice other little comments.
For example, the naval arms race pre-war between England and Germany is also presented as if England was not only being entirely reasonable but could easily outproduce the foolish Germans when they finally got serious about doing so.
As another example, in describing one of the first battles between British and German troops in France, the British forces are heralded for holding off the numerically superior German troops. The channel makes it sound like an amazing feat, before slipping in the fact that the British were forced to retreat by the afternoon of that same day.

Jonathan Meyer Thank you, I'm glad you liked the objectives. I've tried them a couple times and they make things interesting.
And oh I don't remember that in the blockade video, I'll have to check that out again. But for all the times they refer to British soldiers as superior, I feel they mostly say it in a flamboyant and therefore sarcastic kind of way. Trying to emulate the pride and propoganda of the time and acting like it to make it all more theatrical. But yeah I can see how it comes across that way

@@lioninthetrenchesDon't get me wrong; I enjoy their channel. I've watched quite a few of their episodes, and would normally watch their new material (when they were still releasing it) within a day or two of posting. I just feel that they're approaching things with a certain bias, so I try to keep that in mind when watching.

Jonathan Meyer Yes of course they do amazing work. But your right, always gotta keep biases in mind
