The 6.7s are the best . In the oilfields thats all we run. They never give up or stop going and going ! Ford really put the heart and soul into this engine. Steel pistons and super stout rods and crank. Fuel system is bullet proof and the whole oil system is just amazing. An amazing engine for sure

I’ve got a 2011 F350 King Ranch SRW that had a 5/10 build date. The truck has 148,000 miles on it and the only real issue I’ve fought is front end wondering. The truck opted to identify as a late 60’s Ford and underwent an operation to have some parts removed. So far the turbo is hanging in there as that’s a common failure prone part. I tow a 42’ 14,000 fifth wheel RV and the truck has no issues with power. I do wish it had an exhaust brake because it’s hard to keep it at a safe speed when hauling in mountainous terrain. I have the Sterling 10.5 rear equipped with 3.55 gears. The 35” tires actually reducers the gearing to a low 3.40 so I’d like to install some 4.10 gears front and rear to alleviate some of the engine workload. Otherwise, the truck has been fantastic. There is a guy local to my area with the same exact truck with 500,000 miles and he said not a single major failure has occurred. There is another truck posted on @PowerStrokeTechTalk that has a 2013 Lariat with over 1.3 million miles on the clock. The guy has a small repair list but nothing exhaustive. I really think Ford hit the nail on the head with this engine. Cummins is no longer the king of the highway. I honestly believe Ford has taken that crown.

Raced the truck had a ton of fun doggin it, even took it off road a few times and never had a major issue with it. Bought it with 160k miles with all the work already done to it. You could tell the two other previous owners had already been rough with it. Had the connector come off the turbo and had to plug it back in. Had to replace both front hubs and put a rough country steering stabilizer to keep it from death wobble, only issues I had from the lift and big wheels. Covid stole my truck! When I get back up I'm gonna buy another 6.7l powerstroke absolutely a awesome truck!!

@@cr250rish they are great trucks! Like I mentioned above, the only real issues that the first 2 generations of 6.7 were basically because it was a new engine and platform at the time so there were inevitably going to be issues. Another thing to look into is not just how many miles it has but how many hours its run, because a lot of times trucks can be running idle while on jobs and such. Also I've read that the turbos start getting week around 120k miles as well, but by then you've gotten your worth out of it and is a good time for an upgraded system anyways.

The new trucks are really beautiful but I got to say my 2002 7.3L is too good to let go. Going to completely rebuild the engine including swapping out the lower end and doing a complete interior swap to a 2016 King ranch. Hoping to reach around 800hp and 2k+ torque. All in all avoiding EPA as well because I am exempt. And I don't have to deal with DEF

What did you do to keep it running for $750,000 me cuz they're I mean this site here this channel is all about fluff and hot rods and big wheels and bulshit but when you get down to the nitty-gritty I talk to her I'm looking at a 2015 to buy beautiful truck and a diesel mechanic told me stay away from him but it's going to cost you $11,000 15,000 when the injection pump blows there's a lot of issues with contamination of fuel that's a big job like $11,000 and do the injection pump and all the lines and drop the tank and so why don't you guys talk about the real deal I'm an older guy I'm looking for reliability and diesels can be problematic if you're working in a colder climate but I'm so concerned about this injection pump and then now there's a new injection pump that came out that beat the prior one Wendy's pumps fail you need all new injectors and I said that's not fun so I'd like to hear some talk on that I only want to 2015 truckers it's like my 95 dually that I restored with the gas engine just going to pull my fifth wheel toy hauler and it shouldn't be an issue so I want to hear more on reliability and how much it cost you to operate and so forth I mean only shows on this channel is wheelies screwing up nice roads I mean I think that's the destructive you want to do it on your own property but don't go out and ruin somebody else's property or roads just doing wheelies like a stupid idiot you know grow the fuk up

Original engine, trans, turbo, rears, literally zero major issues. Still drives like a brand new truck. Idk if id call that "unreliable". I know they have turbo issues but this ones been fine

He had about 60-70 of them. All we did was change oil 5k and fuel and air filters every other oil change

I didn't like ford SD trucks since 99 until 2017. I love the obs fords. But I really like the new body style and the 6.7L PS with the 10spd auto. Plus the only full size truck you can still get with manual locking hubs. Hands down if i was to buy a new 3/4 or 1 ton pickup truck it would be a Ford. I had dodges and the 05 Dodge crewcab cummins dually was a great truck but seriously Dodge transmissions are junk.
