@Иван Петров I WILL ROLL COLE IN A HOLE WITH MY MOLE AND ENJOY IT!!!! AND BESIDES WE ARE ALL STUCK WITH FACE DIPPERS ON ANYWAY, SO WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE
My dad had one of these for 10 years, in 2015 we were driving down the Montana highway with a trailer behind us. Within 5 miles after hitting 100k on the odometer it blew the radiator or some part of the cooling system. Had to be towed 2 hours to the nearest dealership. We stayed in that trailer in a Sinclair parking lot for 5 days while the truck got fixed. My dad got a new truck right after that trip.
videos like this make me glad my dad hasn’t sold his 04 2500 Cummins, completely stock from the dealer besides a gooseneck hitch and a different tailgate.
"The kids put 40-60k in it" no, you mean DADDY puts that much into it. Kids don't have any idea how to use those trucks. Why they get them ill never understand.
I started looking into these trucks after receiving one at no charge (Won a bet). 2006 4x4 with 110k miles. I've driven it another 30k miles and I have not had any issues. No over heating (I'm in So-Cal, summers are 100-105ish) all I've had to do is replace the tires. After everything I've seen, I guess I need to sell it! I actually love the sound, the size and lightly off roading in it. What would be a better replacement that would be the same size and also a loudish diesel?
I never seen this video, one question I've had for guys with these trucks is have you ever tried a different radiator? Like a high performance race radiator, might be a PITA to make fit but would prevent any OEM issues from reoccurring
The OEM issues are caused by stretched head bolts resulting in head gasket failure, and have nothing to do with the radiator. Cracked cylinder heads happen also, although more rarely. The correct approach with these engines is to replace the head bolts with head studs - and upgrade to o-ringed heads if you’re planning on adding power.
First time I’ve watched dudes content. I haven’t laughed so hard in a while. This guy literally encapsulated every town’s basic bro here in Tennessee with a 6 hoe. “It’s bulletproofed!””we should shoot it”
The better thing than bulletproofing it is they make 5.9 12v conversion kits. The interiors are pretty good on these trucks. Like under 20k to do a conversion
@@josephgordon1269 6.7 is all right, but the 7.3 is by far the best ford has put out even tho the 444 is an international motor. But 6.7 vs 7.3, 6.7 has a graphite iron block that cant be rebuilt. The 7.3 can be rebuilt and has a plethora of things on it for regular maintenance that most modern vehicles dont have like grease fitting, easily replacable parts etc.

Funny and true: My dad was a sales manager at ford, then at Freightliner. He bought this truck new years ago, it sits in a heated barn and has many favorable stories told about it, none of which involve it moving.
just rewatching this and it’s so true… 😭 🤣 my dad has a 04 excursion with the 6.0 he bought for 10k 5 years ago. we did the head gasket probably 4 times in 3 years before he finally took it to a shop to get the block and head replaned. probably 30k, 2 turbos, 4 head gaskets, a head, injectors a couple of times, and im definitely forgetting somethings but it’s reliable now 👍 🤣
I’ve been blessed that both the 6.0s I’ve had were good trucks, I had my dad’s 6.0 as a first truck and never had any problems out of it from 380k when I got it to 500k something when I sold it. The second one I got never had a problem till I put a tune on it and it blew the radiator so I took the tune off and I still haven’t had any problems but I’m aware it could one time have one of the many 6.0 problems… still love the truck tho !
Worst truck ive ever owned and biggest money pit. Paid 20k for it put 20k into it to try and keep it on the road, bullet proofed and all, never drove it hard and still wouldn't run 6 months straight. Traded it in with 170,000 miles
I remember my boss had one of these when I was growing up. We used to fight over who got it for the day because it drove and towed hay trailers way nicer than then either 24 valve he had. I was sad when he sold it right when it rolled 100k because he heard they get expensive to maintain after that.
I bought a 7.3 powerstroke in 2001 with 4wd, 4 door, long bed among other add options. One of the best trucks I ever owned and I've had a few. I went everywhere with my sons fishing, camping and surfing. We have many great memories of those times traveling to remote locations including Baja. Sadly Ford went south after 2003 trying out new engines and transmissions, should have stuck with the old reliable workhorse. Sold the truck in 2016 to one of my sons so he could pull his 30ft boat and it's still running like a champ.
The best truck I have had was a used (20,000 Miles) 1983 Ford F250 long bed with a straight 6, 300HP, standard transmission, duel gas tanks. It was a workhorse and easy to work on not like what's available today. The truck would go anywhere and I would pulled a utility trailer when going on vacation filled with all my camping equipment. I put a steel shell and a carpet kit in the bed with seatbelts up by the cab for my sons. We took that truck all over Baja, fishing, surfing and camping. When my sons were older and their friends wanted to come along on the adventures I bought the F350 powerstroke in my original post and sold this truck with 350,000 miles on it to a couple of gardeners.
I have one good thing to say about the 6.blow. It sounds awsome. Atleast the one im familiar with. Bouncing it off the limiter soinning tires its like a combo of a gas v8 and diesel sound
When I was reading truck magazines as a little kid, I thought "bulletproofed" actually meant that you could shoot it. I didn't find out they weren't actually bulletproof until I was maybe 10.
They also should've been maintained better by most owners lol, plus it's all about the buyer, if you know how to fix that stuff it's cheaper to fix one than getting an expensive one. I've put less than 10k total into buying and rebuilding my 6.0 and it has had no issues since rebuilding, definitley better than factory new. That's my point.
@@benjaminkinsey1323 very true. If you do go through the “bulletproof” process you get a good engine. But yeah if you can do it yourself it’s way better.
6.4 isnt bad once you get the dpf crap off of it. IF you hot tune them expect cracked pistons very soon. Head gaskets actually hold up better than the 6.0's and lifters hate life on some of them. Gambling with fire but we have 2 08's in the driveway with over 200k on them.
@@trevoralexander7080 ya, the 3v were updated every 2 years (was finally fixed with the 2010's, the 04's/05's had issues with poor oil pressure, tensioner seals, and too small of oil passages, and over time unless you tear down the engine and replace camphasers/lifters, and put an upgraded oil pump in, miraculously, my 06 has 180k, and thr engine and transmission are still strong, and the only thing wrong with my 04(130k) is a bad exhaust manifold, and a crack coil spring
@@fallu2 yeah I had the exhaust manifold leak too when I bought mine with 30,000 miles. It originally came from NY or something like that. The leak was due to a few bolts that rusted and broke off on their own. The mechanic that tried to replace the exhaust manifolds ended up breaking 4 bolts I believe, so he had to pull the engine, drill out the bolts and tap it. Ended up being around $1500 I believe but that's the only major issue I have had from it.

@@TheBlankOneIsMe so true though
My dad had one of these for 10 years, in 2015 we were driving down the Montana highway with a trailer behind us. Within 5 miles after hitting 100k on the odometer it blew the radiator or some part of the cooling system. Had to be towed 2 hours to the nearest dealership. We stayed in that trailer in a Sinclair parking lot for 5 days while the truck got fixed. My dad got a new truck right after that trip.
Sorry to say, they always prey on those who know pretty much nothing about diesels.
damn
Can't imagine how pissed he was 😂
videos like this make me glad my dad hasn’t sold his 04 2500 Cummins, completely stock from the dealer besides a gooseneck hitch and a different tailgate.
"The kids put 40-60k in it" no, you mean DADDY puts that much into it. Kids don't have any idea how to use those trucks. Why they get them ill never understand.
We need to see WD wreck a Cyber Truck that'd piss off a whole new set of people

I've watched this video like 8 times and it only gets better each go
Finally, for the first time ever on this channel, EVERYONE is here together watching & not one person is whining about the truck being destroyed lol

I have one as well, stay on top of the maintenance and you’ll be fine.

Lmaoooo
I can't stop watching this video lmfao 🤣🤣🤣 it kills me every time
The better thing than bulletproofing it is they make 5.9 12v conversion kits. The interiors are pretty good on these trucks. Like under 20k to do a conversion
When you factor the cost of converting, it's cheaper to just build a 6.0 the right way.
You should line up all these cars when u destroy them and make a coarse for monster max to run over !
69th like here😎
He sold them all
sounds like a fun video to watch
It should be a coarse track, agreed.

As a ford guy i can sincerely say, Im happy whistlin bought a 6.0 😂😂😂
Now if he buys a 6.4 ill buy his merch.
What's the best ford diesel? I 6.7? Obviously the 6.0 is worst
No the 6.4 is the worst lmaoooo
@@josephgordon1269 I gotta say the 7.3. The new 6.7 has a lot of problems. 6.4 is absolute garbage, and the 6.0 is good until it isn’t.
@@ultraxart1c435 exactly, the 6.4 is far worse than the 6.0 and for that reason whistlin should purchase one and drop it feom a cliff after he feeds it to the tree shredder... The 6.4 is the worst thing to happen to the diesel community ever.

There's a diesel rebuilder out of Georgia I think, that has a y.t. channel. He rates all the Ford diesels. He says if you do a " bulletproof" over haul which addresses the issues it has, like head bolts and intercooler. It turns into the best one he says the newer diesels Ford puts out, are disposable
hey hey, as a proud (not that proud) owner of a 6.0 350, they sound amazing, the whistle is utterly intoxicating, and yes they have some BIG reliability problems. But once you take off all the emissions crap and chip them. and you dont floor the throttle like ever, they are actually not so bad
Does anyone even realize how much fun this guy has with these trucks 😂 shit looks like one hell of a time

Funny and true: My dad was a sales manager at ford, then at Freightliner. He bought this truck new years ago, it sits in a heated barn and has many favorable stories told about it, none of which involve it moving.

Hey, thats my daily. I love it. Approaching 270,000. I’ve been good to it because its been good to me.
I've seen a 7.3 push oil past the injector and into the fuel tank
I have a good ole 2000 7.3. It has 260000 and still running strong with the original injectors too. I will never sell it!
Bc it was older new trucks and cars are pieces of junk
When it cut to him just tearing out the electrical component I spilled my coffee 😂
Same😂

Whistlindiesel: Bud, it can't even do a burnout

So more than 17 seconds?
This made my day, I actually just bought a 6.0 myself couple months ago this man spoke nothing but facts when its comes to teens when they buy 6.0.
I love the “bulletproof” saying. You shouldn’t have to dump that much money into it to keep it running.

Couldn't find a 6.4 that wasn't already toast
6.4 isnt bad once you get the dpf crap off of it. IF you hot tune them expect cracked pistons very soon. Head gaskets actually hold up better than the 6.0's and lifters hate life on some of them. Gambling with fire but we have 2 08's in the driveway with over 200k on them.
Love the 6.0 makes the 3v 5.4 tritons seem like a success story
My 2010 5.4 has been great. But it is the updated version of the 2006-2008
@@trevoralexander7080 ya, the 3v were updated every 2 years (was finally fixed with the 2010's, the 04's/05's had issues with poor oil pressure, tensioner seals, and too small of oil passages, and over time unless you tear down the engine and replace camphasers/lifters, and put an upgraded oil pump in, miraculously, my 06 has 180k, and thr engine and transmission are still strong, and the only thing wrong with my 04(130k) is a bad exhaust manifold, and a crack coil spring
Had one that seized up after sitting in impound for 3 weeks. Idk if it was the cold that did it in or what but that thing was an absolute piece of shit
