Checking in on you. Nice roots on those cuttings. I've been planning on getting cuttings from my neighbor. Maybe this spring. Keep it growing!

I'm already growing a very mature pomegranite tree and it produces well. It is at least 30 years old and going strong. I hear they can live 200 years with proper care. Growing up Ive seen them on vacant lots still producing fruit without anyone watering them.
I got my tree from a local nursery. My tree produces dark purple seeds that are technically ripe in September, but I wait to eat them earliest mid October. They last through December. Then any fruit left bursts open. I try to get all the fruit, but some I cannot reach, so those are for the birds to enjoy. I often have quail roost in my tree, in spring, so it houses bird familes well. My tree is very wide and tall, it's growing where water drains, so we dont have to water it much. We eat 1 pomegranite a day during the fall season. Plus I always make a Thanksgiving salad with pomegranites on the side for a topping ... for my pomegranite loving folks. If I plant some more I would like to try juicing some of the fruit.
Anyway, I'd like to plant a few more trees, in sunnier, happier places in my yard, and I'd like to share some with my friends and family members. So I'm starting some from seeds but I noticed that my low hanging branches have taken root. So I enjoyed seeing you plant your rooted cuttings. I may just try to relocate some of mine, to better yard areas of my yard.
I live just above the frost line, so they do well here, it is almost unbearably hot most of the time ... year round here so I do have to water in summer, but not in winter. But for the size of my tree, I dont water much.
    Thanks for sharing your progress.
