Future Trunks challenged Vegeta to a fight and Trunks told Vegeta to fight him a full strength. Vegeta then shocked Trunks with super saiyan blue, before beating him up. Vegeta was not very impressed by his strength and was even less impressed by how complacent he became after seeing Vegeta's strength

@@nickcarroll8565 Each transformation has its use. You see Goku first use SSJ1 to gauge the opponent's strength level, then switch transformations to try and conserve energy. Ultra Instinct benefits psychologically, like the subconscious, and emotionally, while Kaioken enhances physical levels by multiplying. Imagine if he combined both, as he did with SSJ God.

He’s actually very tactical in battle, but he lacks confidence in his own abilities because since after Gohan died, he hasn’t had anyone else to give him encouragement and motivate him. All the hybrid saiyan boys need that extra push from other people

Trunks Potential is insanely slept on, obviously Broly, Gohan and Frieza’s are better. However Trunks with his own strength managed to surpass Super Saiyan God as he fought someone that was able to match and even overpower Super Saiyan Blue. Trunks fought Zamasu without God Ki so imagine him with God Ki
Trunks "Rage Mode" Super Saiyan seems to stomp whatever he's fighting at any point in the story. I'd be fine if they kept that rage mode concept since it's kinda his thing now
People forget he's also a hybrid, so his forms shouldn't follow Goku and Vegeta. A new Trunks movie would be good

@@Todoza I'm reminded of one of the stupidest moments Gohan did in Super. It was during the Universe Six Arc, Gohan had finally been training because he realized how weak he was during the Ressurrection of Frieza Arc, but when Goku comes and asks him to be on the team to fight Universe Six's team instead of agreeing to see if his training paid off, Gohan declined because he needed to do something involving education or something along those lines. I don't understand how fans put Gohan on this pedestal like he's one of the greatest characters to exist, when he's the complete anti-thesis of the DB series.

He uses the form as a bait to draw Vegeta in and then drops the form back to SSJ2 at the last second to get back his speed, surprising Vegeta with the tactic and nearly landing a blow, but then gets beat out by the power of Blue. But the OP cut that part of the fight out for some reason.

I love how Vegeta have his philosophy passing to son, vegeta wants to be top1 no matter what, and his son need also to be #1, just like he said to cabba.
Fun Fact: Starting the battle with the Buff Form then going to base is probably a reference to Tekaichi 3 competitive, Trunks without sword in his base form is one of the best characters in the game, the buff form starts the battle with full Ki, so you choose Buff Trunks then distransform to base form, this way you have one of the best characters in the game with full Ki at the start of battle
While many parts of Super are not to my liking, this is one aspect of Future Trunks that I'm glad was highlighted compared to Current Trunks.
Even during the Cell Saga, Trunks was actively always try to rely on others, letting other people take the lead and focusing on trying to wait for Goku and the others. That was almost his motto. He was afraid he couldn't measure up and his lifetime of failures beat his confidence into the ground.
But Current Trunks is different. He's playful and arrogant, sure but he's also very much confident in his abilities and has a natural desire to improve for the most part (until he becomes a teen and focuses on girls, like all straight boys). But because he had Vegeta in his life, Current Trunks has much faster improvement and is more competitive by nature. Future Trunks, didn't have that, so he's more intelligent and cautious, but willing to backseat himself to let others fight his battles for him if he's not sure he can win.

@@talal3c To be honest, I'd rather you from your own opinion on Dragonball, Z, and Super. But for me, I suppose the pacing, how some of the arcs had dissatisfying endings and the anime's portrayal of some characters compared to the manga.

What a dad vegeta is and also how closer trunks got later on in life he was happy after being battered just to feel how strong his dad had gotten over the years. Good bond tough but fair cruel to be kind and the best message he puts out he's always been the most pridefull of the DBZ characters he will die happily only if it's from a worthy combatant and in battle. Favourite character in all DBZ tv shows and films goku is definitely second though brilliant is Goku and when vegeta and Goku and teamed up wow what a force t be reckoned with! :)

He already was a crybaby in the Trunks special (the movie that shows future Gohan and teenage Trunks fighting the androids), which feels normal and makes sense, and then in the Z series he became this tough and hardened badass that finishes the job quickly without any delay, and then in Super he becomes a crybaby again (and magically has a new hair color too).
@@Alper88 you cannot simply blame Trunks for being a crybaby. he never experienced true happiness in his life and probably he's holding a lot of tears more than we could know just to toughen it up. as the previous comment stated, Trunks has been through 2 apocalypses and he finds himself again as a punching bag when Goku Black appeared. he's always calling for help as a last resort.
