  • Double chins are pesky-and no one wants to deal with them. The chin area is super difficult to tone and eliminate fat cells from. We follow three women as they undergo Liposuction, Kybella, and Coolsculpt in their journey to fix their double chin.

definitely liposuction. Your guaranteed the fat is gone cause its suctioned out...and you get the benefit of the tissue fibrosis after to add to the tightening. From my experience Kybella and Coolsculpt are a wast of money as far as results. Everyone says cool sculpt is not invasive but don't forget its trying to do something (i.e freeze) your tissues to create a result, so its still invading your tissues, its just that you can't see it. Kybella is pretty painful, even with the local and you need more than one treatment, like the cool sculpt. Just go for the lipo!!!

Wow, so many say they think liposuction works better. I don't think it lasts very long though. The chinstrap is extremely uncomfortable. I've had it done before. There wasn't much there to begin with though. Weight makes a difference whether something like that is more prominent or not.

SouthernCaliChic i personally work somewhere where we provide coolsculpting and i don’t want to do it because I’m too claustrophobic. I had anxiety and would probably waste a treatment lol. With Kybella i got a total of 4 vials separated into two separate treatments of the two vials each. Each treatment was separated a month apart and I had great results! It is a bit painful and the swelling is not the cutest thing ever and it does last a while for me it lasted two weeks but it wasn’t intense for the entire two weeks. But overall I would recommend it and I totally want to do more!

It would have been interesting to know for what age the different procedures are recommended. If you're older and your skin isn't as tight and elastic anymore it is not of much use to get either of those procedures done if you have a wrinkly sack of skin hanging where your double chin used to be.

  • @zoegulliksen7753

I’ve worked at different MedSpas and have had Kybella done twice - it isn’t a permanent solution. Kybella empties the fat cells but doesn’t get rid of them. If you gain weight your double chin will come back.
I plan on getting CoolSculpting done soon because lipo is super invasive where as CS is literally no big deal and kills the fat cell for good.
