- With the General Election around the corner, it's time to dare to begin to look forward to a post-Tory Britain.
But what do WE want it to look like? What issues matter the most to us? What do we want to see done? How do we fix what the Tories have broken?
I don't have all the answers, and neither do the Labour party, but what we do have is YOU.
In this, the first in a weekly series of videos on Labour Social, we will explore YOUR concepts, ideas and policies that will be required to drag our country out of the quagmire and drive it FORWARDS into a positive, compassionate and exciting future.

we don't fix Britain, we try and repair it as best we can.
Sustainable transport (walking, cycling, wheeling and public transport) is key to so much more than transport.
It impacts public health, air quality, climate change, social mobility, and so much more.
Manufacturing and industry
Need an episode on wealth inequality
Stop the attack on disabled and those who can't work. Start to make the poorest better off. Stop making humans work until they die. Improve quality of life. Make people who smoke pay for their own health care or a % of it.
Stop 2nd houses. Make them stay in hotels. Stop the continue parliament wage after they quit.
House of Lords to be voted in or out.
Stop off shore tax havens
First things to be fixed have to be tougher press and media regulation and the voting system. Otherwise the Tories will just get bsck in over the next 5 to 10 years and undo everything that Labour will have fixed. It'll be a complete waste of time

Parity of esteem for dentistry in the NHS.
You should get Pilot Frixion Clickers and extra ink.
I suggest yhat all parties, as far as you can, to agree lomg term policies on yhe fundamentals i.e NHS, defence, housing, energy and infrastruture. Argue about thr rest.

You solve political corruption. That is the root cause of the issues we are seeing. Have you heard anything about that in the campaign yet? I doubt it.
Union membership equality / independence

Do the honourable gentlepeeps on here agree with me that dentistry, mental health and care of the elderly might be better served under the general umbrella of the NHS rather than separate entities, each with their own management structure etc which must incur additional costs, especially when technology could help streamline all those additional levels of management hierarchy?
Couldn't watch live, but epistemic security got missed off the list, could be bundled with education or press reform.
Number 1 thing to fix britain is correctly tax the insanely wealthy and close loopholes. That will bring in Billions which we can then use for other stuff like nationalizing water and rail. Secondly though solar panels on all low income housing should be mandatory. It would make the country greener but relieve so much from the people who need it most. I did submit this to the government petitions and got fobbed off. They wouldn't even let me have a petition.

Universal basic income 👍 cash machines that don't charge you in poorer areas. Drugs should be legalize regulated and taxed!
Pay politicians the going rate for captains of industry by all means. But no second jobs.
NO serving MP should have any commercial interests outside Parliament. This has been proven time & again that leads to "conflicts of interest" ! As in family members or buddies being awarded Government Contracts, which usually finish up over budget, behind schedule & DANGEROUSLY cut corners !

you are selecting the solution and then finding the problem it fixes, which can mean you don't find the best solution or your solution doesn't actually help

i would suggest that you have an episode on each of the problems and discuss different solutions, and make sure to consider when you select the "best" one if its even politically viable
This is really annoying. I opened a twitter account to go and watch Carol Vauderman (not sure I spelled that right), but it said “spaces is not available for IPad”. I don’t have any other device, so I had to miss it. It seems ridiculous that I can’t watch it on an IPad. They are not exactly an obscure technology.
