I have this combination. Using the Aorus Master X v1.0, the Intel i9-14900K, and V-Color [Mantis] Prism RGB DDR5 8200 mhz ram and have spent a month trying to get it to work despite this ram being on the QVL. I was able to get it stable and pass all testing at 6400 but thats nowhere near the 8200 it should be able to do. Can you post your UEFI (bios) settings so I can see what you ran it at?

Get the fastest ram you can afford but definitely have two sticks, For best results go for whatever RAM kits are mentioned in the motherboard supported list.

Just fired up my Master X. Looks cool. Still need to install OS.
Plugged in a 14700k instead of the 14900k

If your building it from scratch the yeah, just put one in because it's cheap extra protection, but if it's already installed just leave it, it's fine!

How are the temps on the 14900k with this board?

Just with normal working conditions, it should range between 53ºC and 58ºC, and during rendering and intensive gameplay, it can go up to 95ºC to a 100ºC. Intel have said that temps up to 100 are normal.
