Was Jesus based on the Egyptian god Horus? Many on the internet seem to think so, and this video addresses this claim.

Michael has no idea what hes talking about he hasent bothred to research anything , he havent been to the Isis temple dont know anything about Avaris or the hyksos and their importance for the excistence of the city Jerusalem, he dont bother to mention that King David the man Jesus claims decent from is a hycsos decender( shepardking) from Avaris in Egypt and that David is of the holy bloodline because he is related to queen Tyme and Thutmosis , and that queen Tyme was an Isis priestess, with nubian decent, its said that David had curly hair, and that Jesus had short curly hair, that the house of David was royal because they were royal nubier, Salomon was married too a Egyptian princess so Jesus had royal decent from two royal familys, the line of David was benjamites and decendent after Jakob that was renamed Israel after hes emigration to Egypt Israel means El rules through ISIS and Ra, they presist.,

Example: if I were to start a fast food restaurant called burger queen you would say "dude you're copying off of Burger King" and me going "nope mine says queen theirs says king so obviously they are different because kings are men and queens are women" the entire Horus vs Jesus debate should also show that every civilization has their own God created in the image of man.

About the "resurrection after 3 days" story. The Egyptians were astronomers, they learned that the shortest days of the year (which we now know in the Julian calendar as December 23, 24 & 25) made them conclude that the sun god Ra (or some other god that I forgot) was dead during those 3 days, to be resurrected afterwards.
Another possible Egyptian import is the Christian's prayer ending "Amen". The sun god Ra was traditionally prayed to by chanting his full name "Amen-Ra". Though Egyptogists do deny this, they dismiss this as mere coincidence.
But Egyptian mythology's greatest contribution is the introduction of monotheism by pharaoh Akhenaten. If not for him, modern people (Judaists, Christians, Muslims) will be worshipping multiple gods instead.

    • @Cklert
      @Cklert Před 2 lety +8

Except the number 3 is something was commonly used throughout the Old Testament. 3 days was associated with a journey, darkness or a sacrifice. In Genesis, Joseph was in jail for 3 days,
In Exodus for example, the Israelites plead with the Pharaoh 3 times to travel for 3 days in order to sacrifice. The Ninth Plague, Darkness, which God punished Egypt with was for 3 days. The Ark of the Covenant took 3 days to receive, and another 3 days for them travel with it to a resting spot. There's a whole bunch more verses that state the important of 3.
"Amen" is Hebrew for "So be it"
Have you read the Hebrew Bible? The Jews have a habit of repeatedly worshiping multiple gods long after their time in Egypt. In fact, it's something that lasts even when they are in the Promised Land. God has to repeatedly punish them for continuously breaking their Covenant. Even if the Pharaoh Akhenaten may have introduced the idea of monotheism, which I doubt. The Jews clearly weren't that reciprocal or obedient towards it.

Regarding the source for all this nonsense, it's Gerald Massey. When Zeitgeist first came out they had a website where they listed all their citations. They cited Gerald Massey for all the Jesus is Horus nonsense. Massey was an Egyptologist who developed his theories before the Rosetta Stone. So he was literally looking at pictures and trying to make a story out of it.
The great irony of this is it was Massey's own familiarity of the story of Jesus which caused him to see these stories in the hieroglyphs.

William Lane Craig gave the best rebuttal about this whole Horus nonsense when he debated Krauss. If you have any atheist or anti-christian friends who trumpet around this myth, just ask them this:
The disciples of Jesus were Jews and they live in a Jewish culture. They want to convince their fellow Jews that Jesus is the Messiah and to do that, they're going to borrow a myth from the Egyptians?

Africa was a true Kindom a place of Royalty now in ruins and famine, thanks to whites who BORROWED our egyptian dieties to create a white man in the sky, and enslave our people because they know the power we posses.. WE just dont know it but were WAKING UP. they stole our shit because our people were creating heaven on earth due to their natural spiritual sense and knowledge of the comos. all sciences, physics, medicines, astrology etc it all started in Akebulan back when there was only ONE huge land mass, it was all black people. it was a black planet. thats why anywhere you travel today youll see black people and black art, temples, structures. black history is WORLD history. we wasnt just standing around waiting for millions of years for white people to come along and enslave us. we had our own spiritual system that YOU STOLE and created Jesus with bitch.

I remember when a former-Christian friend brought this up to me. I remember being blind-sided and having no answers, let alone ever heard of it. All I knew was that egyptian mythology was based on a scale system (a methodology of works), and that Christianity was solely unique in that it shatters all other paganistic/religious notions through redemption through grace (the superiority of faith, and the predominance of the heart). Which also happens to align with reality (relativity>causality), and the intrinsic value of all relationships. Needless to say it still troubled me, till I did some research on the claims made. The over-reach of parallelism finally came to light as I dug further. The data skewed, was disheartening. Because it was orchestrated in such a way, that it drew power from guilt-ing you from questioning its sources. How dare I reject what someone has put so much time to fabricate (this was an actual appeal against personal research)? Later I found out that even the very appeal is vacuous, as even legitimate secular scholars consider it as absolute nonsense. Thank you for covering this, and equiping those who haven't been introduced to this desperate attempt at a hollow genetic fallacy.

"It is interesting that Isis is addressed as Hwn.t in a sarcophagus oracle that deals with her mysterious pregnancy. In a text in the Abydos Temple of Seti I, Isis herself declares: “I am the great virgin.” … In the Late Period in particular, goddesses are frequently called “(beautiful) virgins,” especially Hathor, Isis, and Nephthys."
-Dr. Jan Bergman and Dr. Helmer Ringgren, in Theological Dictionary of the Old Testament, Vol. II (339)
      So I am Isis.
So I am a flame goddess.
      You are Osiris.
      I am mother to Horus.
I am sister to the god.
      I am Hmmy.t.
      I am the Great Virgin.
Temple of Seti I, Chapel of Osiris, West Wall-South Gate (13th century BCE)
Amice M. Calverley and Myrtle F. Broome, The Temple of King Sethos I at Abydos: Volume I, The Chapels of Osiris, Isis and Horus, ed. A.H. Gardiner (London: The Egypt Exploration Society, 1933), pl.9.
Notice Isis says she is Horus' Mother THAN says she's a "Great Virgin"
"In Egypt the epithets add.t, rnn.t and Hwn.t, ‘girl; young woman; virgin’, are applied to many goddesses-e.g. Hathor and Isis-who had not yet had sexual intercourse."
Dr. Bob Becking, in Dictionary of Deities and Demons in the Bible (891)
Indeed Osiris died before he could consumate marriage and take Isis's Virginity
"The marriage of Isis and Osiris was a very brief one, so brief, indeed, that they were not able to consummate their union while Osiris was alive. “Come to me, fair face who passed beyond without my having seen him,” Isis says after the death of her husband, leading one to suppose that he was murdered before their wedding night."
Dr. Dimitri Meeks and Dr. Christine Favard-Meeks , Daily Life of the Egyptian Gods (69)
In relation to the severed phallus myth Egyptologist Jan Assman says "The Egyptian Texts which seldom mention this scene know nothing of this detail"
Jan Assman Death and Salvation in Ancient Egypt (25)
“…[Osiris’s] parts were collected by Isis, and his body was duly resurrected by her, although the phallus was missing. This obliged the goddess to resort to parthenogenesis in order to conceive and bring forth Horus.”
-Dr. James S. Curl, The Egyptian Revival, p. 15.
      Parthenogenesis means “virgin birth”:
“PARTHENOGENESIS. The myth that certain divine beings or culture-heroes have owed their birth to a mother without the co-operation of a father has been found to be widespread. For example, Isis, Cybele, Leto, Demeter, and Venus are all represented as ‘virgin’ mothers. The Chinese culture-hero Hon Chi was born of a mother who conceived by treading in the footprint of God. The principal deity of the Uapes Indians of Brazil, Jurupari, was born of a virgin who conceived after drinking a draught of native beer….”
-Maurice Arthur Canney, An Encyclopaedia of Religions, 278.
"Aeon/Horus was born of the virgin Isis on 6 January....The Egyptian Goddess who was equally the "Great Virgin" (Hwnt) and mother of the god was bestowed upon the very same praises as her successor (The Virgin Mary)"
Reginald E Witt Isis in the ancient world (218) (273)
"As Mithraism moved westward it proved a fertile ground for the addition of mystic meaning practically all the symbolism of Osiris was added to the Mithraic cultus even to the fact that Isis became the virgin mother of Mithras"
Gerald L Berry Religions of the world (56)
"-Cybele, Aphrodite, Demeter, Astarte, Isis, Hathor, Inanna and Ishtar like them she (Mary) is both virgin and mother and like many of them she gives birth to a half human half divine child who dies and is reborn"
Anne Baring and Jules Cashford The Myth of the Goddess Evolution of an Image (548)
"Isis also discovered the elixir of immortality, and when her son Horus fell victim to the plots of the
Titans and was found dead beneath the waves, she not only raised him from the dead and
restored his soul, but also gave him eternal life"
Diodorus Siculus Antiquites of Egypt (31)
As we can see Isis reserrected Horus from the dead just as she did Osiris!

After Osiris death, The next morning, Isis returned to the river with her sister, Nepthys and her friends, to perform the necessary rituals, only to find Osiris's body gone! Isis transformed into a huge bird and flew high over Egypt. Using her sharp vision, she was able to find all the [13] pieces of the body to put Osiris back together (except for the phallus). Bandaged, neither living nor dead, Osiris had become a mummy. Transforming herself into a large bird, she flew over Osiris false phallus (made of gold) by which she became pregnant. Nine months later Isis bore him a son, Horus. After which Osiris became the God/Judge of the underworld. Horus, avenged Osiris murder. The story of Osiris, the dying and resurrected god, is also the story of the land: the Nile that settles within its banks during one season, only to overflow those banks and fertilize the land during another.

Every time you see the name, Berkeley or Ramsey or Shelby or Lamarie we have to remember these are names from Kemet (Presently Egypt & North Sudan including Eritrea and North Ethiopia). Specifically from Hwt-Ka-Ptah (the house of the spirit of Ptah) and this is where the Ka-Pt (Coptic) people of Egypt are born.
Horus was born in Jebel Berkel (Present day Karima in Sudan). He was born in a cave based on the ancient Kemetic mythology. Hence the name “Berkeley” ie referring to coming from Jebel Berkel.
Berkeley is name associated directly with Horus.

Thanks. I get tired of people using the Horus lie. They have itchy ears and listen to those that say what they want to hear.

1 Timothy or 2 Timothy? What do either have to do with this? And who says i do not like them?

hellavadeal in Timothy 2:12 it says. "I do not permit a woman to teach, or to have authority over a man. She is to remain silent." Do u like sexism?

hellavadeal you say atheists only listen to what we want to hear, but there's a lot in the Bible that christians ignore.

The part that some people always get wrong about Jesus is when he told (all who have read the good news) that you must do what he says (don't just listen) I mean how does that not make sense? If I tell you about the fire in the building and you say, "I can't see it or smell it," and do nothing, you die in the fire. You must do.
If you do what Jesus says to do in your life, then you will have all of the evidence you have been looking for. (Then you won't need confirmation from youtube or even me, because Jesus will give you the confirmation via his holy spirit). Comes with obedience to Jesus's word.
To say, "where is the evidence," yet you will not do what Jesus says, leaves you exactly where you were to begin with.

Where can I find Horus story? Claude Traunecker is not the only source out there.
