@@HalloweenBoyxRiskx your inventory is held in stasis when starting the first checkpoint. There is no need to drop your bag before hand because it doesn’t effect your tower weight. Item weight will only effect you outside of the tower
Great tutorial/guide! I remember my first time I somehow got through all the way to the final wall without knowing how to launch myself and luckily someone on my live stream told me how to launch myself as I never could do it for some reason and I made it up the final wall with ease. I think you can make a follow up guide showing what the launch looks like in real life for a side by side. I imagine some may want that.

Since the new update, you keep climbing after completing the first checkpoint. If you want to do that or continue to get more stamina is up to you. If you fall out of the tower and can’t get back, you can fall off the edge to reset back to the checkpoint

This is reaaaally not as easy as it seems. First off, the trip there itself is already a very long trip and if you're new you wont know about the rocks that you need to blow up and the bridge further in that you need to build. Further more, the tower itself is also a maze, I couldn't get past first theckpoint simply because I had no idea that I had walked across a little door at checkpoint 1 that looked like to most obvious way forward, but it was actually a teleport door that kind of cancelled my "challenge" thing and gave back all my items. I was still inside the "grassy area" right after checkpoint 1 and I had no idea that my "challenge" had been cancelled. I spent a good 1 hour trying to get to the next checkpoint only to then realize I had to start over to trigger the "challenge" thing again. And in the process I managed to missgrab my recall gourd and dropped it god knows where... facepalm.
It was a very fun journey. But they removed the mini forest and replaced it with a kinda jungle gym like thing. I don't think they have the random generation of the forest figured out for quest yet
Did they remove the bridge build requirments? the "1 redwood core" bridge was built already on my brand new playerless private server. Though there was a SMALL bridge that needed 100 regular wood wedges (PC version, HTC Vive) *Edit: I see that you have this detail in your chapter title (but not appearing on the video itself)

Checkpoint elevator resets progress when you finish the tower. If you wish to not do it again, I recommend climbing the tower without activating any checkpoints. just remember to not fall down as you will go back to spawn

You need to enter through the magic door to the left of the entrance hole. Unsure if getting the first checkpoint again overrides any previous saved progress buts it’s likely

@@BobStuntsville yeah I was doing that and for some reason it just didn’t balance out fast enough as I was losing in the other hand. I gave it another shot and realized I have a tad bit horizontal and not directly vertical grip (I’m used to Zenith climbing). Thanks for the help tho 👍
Took me six hours to complete the tower for the first time lol. Now I can do it in fifteen minutes or so. Practice does wonders. You will get it eventually with enough patience, keep at it
On pc: cut down redwood tree with mythril axe or kill a redwood gotera. You get the wedges and the cores this way On standalone: no redwood wedges in the unmodified game. You can buy cores from other players. If you don’t have climbing this is the only way unless you find them randomly in the community storage shelves since cores are kinda not valuable anymore since the tower rework update
You should have the achievement and the skill but if you don’t have all the orbs around your belt then that means you didn’t finish the full challenge cuz of the crash
Anybody else get the glitch where you got to The second checkpoint in it just thought that you were finished a thing popped up for an achievement of the climbing tower I can’t even do anything else and now I can climb I’m not complaining but it’s weird Also even weirder when you were supposed to get to the other poach or it’s all the climbing when you go to the second save it was missing half of it I have it all on camera if any of y’all want to see it at the end he says that you need all five orbs but I only got two and I’m completed so I think it’s just a glitch but a fun one at that
the new tower gives the player the ability to climb after checkpoint one. all other checkpoints can be accessed up the stairwell behind checkpoint two. completing further checkpoints unlocks more stamina. you have very little to begin with so i recommend completing the tower for the extra stamina.

On checkpoint 2 if you swing off a corner on a brick you can leave the climbing tower and you will still be able to climb

i use desktop view, and i use the camera stabilizer which can be turned on by pressing Z on your keyboard while in a server

I don't know how but the game said I unlocked climbing at checkpoint 2 didn't even have to go all the way to checkpoint 5
It gets unlocked at checkpoint 2 but you get more stamina the further you go.
