    Nice camera work here, especially on the grinder sparks. Thanks for the video!

      Haha it was hitting the camera lense at one point

    I think those bars look awesome on there.

    This project is motivating and makes me want to find something similar to tinker with. Keep it up!
    Also, I think the cross member on the bars gives a unique utilitarian look that I kind of like. $ .02

      I agree about the cross member. I did end up cutting 1" off each end of the bars though.

    so that's what a high beam is - aimed further out in front of you, but would blind oncoming traffic. if it was a 'higher' intensity, they'd be called "bright beams".

    The bike is looking awesome. Just keep an eye on the MZS controls. I've had a set on my sfv650 for a couple years now and they don't take abuse very well, I tapped mine on a wall and it sheared off at the hinge point. And the color does fade over time, you should be fine though since you have an enclosed garage, I do not. But you know what? When it came time to replace them, I got the same ones for like $15😆

      Sounds about right for what I paid for them. Still though, you get a nice look for the price.

    Can you use that same aluminum tube to make a spacer for the headlight bracket? Or will the bolt not pass thru that tube? Loving this build 👍

    • @FridaysTheBomb
      @FridaysTheBomb  Před 3 lety +1

      I ended up adding a spring washer between the mounts and that took out the slack in the headlight. I might see if this aluminum tube will work though. That would be a cleaner assembly.

      I’ve used the aluminum turning for spacers like that in the past. Always works well. Coming along nicely.

    Where did you get the right side battery box cover? Is thats custom cover or from BobberCycle?

    • @FridaysTheBomb
      @FridaysTheBomb  Před 2 lety

      Yeah, its from bobber cycle co. I think its overpriced for what it is. If I did this again, I'd try to make my own.

    im so confused how does one go from duel throttle cable to single on a honda rebel 250

    • @FridaysTheBomb
      @FridaysTheBomb  Před 2 lety +1

      The valve on the carburetor has a big return spring on it. If you only connect the throttle cable that pulls it open, that return spring will still snap it closed normally. The 2nd throttle cable is only there to allow you to phyisically turn the throttle off if that spring fails or the valve otherwise gets stuck open.

      @FridaysTheBomb  Před 2 lety +1

      This isnt technically very safe though. It just looks cool because "chopper"

      @@FridaysTheBomb i'm two years late to the party but....its not a "chopper" because because it looks cool and/or is "dangerous" ......you didnt chop it. period. thus not a chopper....choppers have their frames "chopped" and subsequently hard-tailed....rigid... no rear suspension
