The vocals are absolutely unreal in this mix. Loved the original and was skeptical about how much difference a remaster can make, but turns out the answer is a lot.

This new version makes me think how much i have underrated this song, i always liked it but this opens up a whole new dimension!
I thought original mix was great, but this is so much deeper and richer, stunning!
I remember how Initially I was a little... bothered? scared? (not sure what's the best word to describe that feeling) by this song, it was just so much darker than the rest of album, but eventually it became probably my favorite song on the album, together with both versions of loneliness! There's just so much going on and I love the epic sci-fi horror fantasy kind of thing that my mind sees in those lyrics!
“OH THE BEAUTIFUL CLARITYYYY!!!” This sounds even more explosive yet not overdoing it. When we blast on 11, we will overdo it. 😂🤘🏾🤘🏾

Possibly my favorite song of all time, from any band. Didn't like it at all back when I first heard it as I don't generally listen to any blackmetal, but it grew on me :D Especially the last 3 or so minutes of the song are insanely epic.
I really am most excited to hear The Dragon Song! The whole fantasy metal project has to be an a whole other level if that is your favourite!!

This is actually the song i was wondering about the most regarding the new mix. The first version was very muddy and hard to hear guitars well in some parts so will be very interesting to hear this version later this year :) I like what i hear from the clip, getting my hype up :D
Man the drums really KICK in this version! Absolutely love it Jari! I'd say you need to slow down on releasing clips so we don't hear everything before August......but you have so much material to share I'm not sure you even COULD run out by then! So damn pumped for you to release your package!
Season forest is probably my best wintersun album but i always believe Eternal Darkness dosen't sound as it should be.
The drum is put forward and very aggressive,i like it.
But the intro,there is so many sound in the background that make the atmosphere,dark,deep ,and that sound for me are to much left behind..
The first 2 minutes we can feel the darkness coming...and them!

Jari, do not release the full time 2 songs ahead of time.
Full versions of the demos is an okay compromise, and the full forest season remasters are an even better, since those aren't new to us.
But I want to wait for the full time 2 experience all at once.
I mean, if we did, no one would force you to watch it! :D But I get your point. We would like everyone to enjoy the full journey of TIME II as well.

Can we expect similar lyric videos for Time II songs after the official release?
Sounds indeed Loud and Modern, but I feel like the orchestrations are crushed in this version, and I cannot hear all the little details as I could in the previous version. For example, I remember hearing some nice plucks during this section, which seem to be missing here. Sometimes loud isn't the best answer Jari, especially when the songs are packed with dense and dynamic instrumentation! :)

I don't think we had ever day off because of weather. I think only thing that changed if it was going to -20 or -25 that we didn't had to go outside for breaks between the lessons and sports etc was inside.

Yes, it is the same song. However, the TIME II version is longer and has some new parts. There are also some demo songs from the first album (Beyond The Dark Sun, Sleeping Stars, Death And The Healing, Sadness And Hate).

The album is a remaster, but the bonus track, Loneliness (Winter) Acoustic version, is a new remix and remaster.

What I like about Wintersun is that every album has a different flavor.
Better than the original?
Might be just my personal preference, but i'm not at all a fan of the low end balance in Jari's "new" mixing style.
I've listened with very low and very high end systems for comparison and results remain the same. Low end feels kinda mumbling, clouded.
To my taste it makes the mix sounds chocked especially in the center image. Just a taste thing though.
Had same feelings about the time 2 mix but perhaps the less loud master version fixes this problem partially. Bought the package regardelss and i'm glad to hear the music.

Well, CZcams has compression and "volume normalization," which automatically reduced this 8.9 dB (and does this with all videos uploaded to CZcams, unfortunately).
The snare drum is too quiet now...

He asked for crowd funding for this album 7 years ago yet it needed a better mix. Just think you will be supporting this album and then years later he will charge you again for a "better" mix
then don't buy it, everyone supporting thinks Time II + the demos are worth it, anything else is a bonus. Not to mention the money from last time was used to make the semi-studio, which TFS was not made/mixed in. He's obviously been honing his mixing in that time and has mentioned new plugins many times. That's why the demos sound very decent even. He clearly states this does not replace the original, it's simply a different take on it.
I would not say that this is a "better mix." It's an alternative version, a modern remaster that better complements the sound of TIME II and the Legendary Early Demos, so the TIME PACKAGE is more unified. It will not replace the original version, as I still personally prefer the original version of "The Forest Seasons," as that is the perfect raw sound for that album. But I do like this more mainstream "modern take" as well a lot, and probably more people will, as the "black metal raw sound" is kind of an "acquired taste."
I do prefer the new Loneliness (Winter) Acoustic remix and remaster version, though, more than the old one. So, the old acoustic version will be replaced.
I put a lot of work and effort into making this. The FOREST PACKAGE was really cheap with all its content, and the TIME PACKAGE is even cheaper, as it has way more content. And the "April Surprise" has not even been revealed yet! ;)
