Actually the 2.0 TFSI has 265 hp permanent output but delivers 290 hp (so Cupra 290 power) in an Overboost mode for around 10 sec. As the 10 sec. start counting again once you lift the throttle for a short moment you have a subjective 290 hp all of the time;) The exhaust sound is sporty in just in the middle between a GTI Performance (230hp) and the extreme Cupra 290 exhaust tone & cracks. My Gti Mk7 is going back next month and my Clubsport ed40 is on the boat as i type this.... looking forward to the change, one difference i see from your video is the pedals, there is a plated rest pedal, was this standard?
Why do the rpms increase at idle when you put it in s mode. Same as the golf r too

Mich würde interessieren, ob man beim DSG in Verbindung mit den Schalensitzen die Mittelarmlehne vermisst? Ich habe aktuell eine und kann mir kaum vorstellen auf sie zu verzichten. Wo legt ihr euren Arm ab?

Thanks for the video. The difference in exhaust between GTI and CS are a slightly modified VSD and a totally different ESD. The CS ESD is actually the same as in the Cupra 290. Unfortunately and unbelievably VW decided to detune the CS ESD from 65mm to 55mm. I suspect that the Cupra 290 has the 65mm ESD.

Actually also the Cupra has 55mm after the VSD. Through the smaller pipes the sound and the DSG bangs are getting louder. The Cupra has in addition a smaller end-silencer to the CS. I think thats the reason why the Cupra is louder.

Some have reported that the overboost timer is re-set whenever you lift your foot off throttle, in which case it practically means you have 290 bhp all the time. Did you have time to try that maybe? Also, time for a nice exterior vid to admire the gorgeous Clubsport look don;t you think?! Drove one and it's so much better and direct than the R for whoever really cares about sports driving pleasure.

Ok thanks for confirming. That means on a track where it's impossible to have the pedal floored for 10" you basically have 290 bhp every time you put your foot down, and the same on every public road, good news.

Entspricht der Sound des Golf GTI Clubsport nicht in etwa dem der neuen Audi S3 Limousine?
+Joschua Harms Danke zunächst;) Der Sound ist akustisch anders, tiefer beim S3, und technisch sinds unterschiedliche Abgasanlagen. Der S3 hat eine Klappensteuerung, der GTI keine. Der S3 kann somit lauter und melodischer klingen, auch beim Start klingt er voller. Dessen Anlage ist ziemlich baugleich zum Golf R.
Ich muss jetzt einfach mal fragen: Wie empfandest du (ich bin mal so frech :P) die fehlende Mittelarmlehne bei den Schalensitzen? Merkt man das deutlich, dass sie fehlt bzw. was macht man bzw. hast du mit deinem rechten Arm gemacht, wenn du nicht gerade beide am Lenkrad hattest? Ich hätte da ehrlich gesagt "bedenken" wenn ich meine aufeinmal nicht mehr hätte. :)
Da die Schalensitze ein seitliches Ablegen des Armes ohnehin nicht nötig machen habe ich die Mittelarmlehne überhaupt nicht vermisst. Sieht komisch aus, aber stört absolut nicht.
Okay danke. Inwiefern meinst du denn "nötig" machen? Was macht man denn mit dem rechten Arm die ganzen Zeit, wenn man ihn nicht "ablegen" kann? Auf den Schoß legen? :D
Ich möchte mir demnächst auch einen gebrauchten Clubsport zulegen. Gerne hätte ich auch die Schalensitze, aber die fehlende Mittelarmlehne gibt mir echt zu denken... Aktuell habe ich eine und kann mir kaum vorstellen darauf zu verzichten. Inwiefern machen die Schalensitze die MAL denn überflüssig? Wenn ich einen DSG habe, hab ich beim cruisen ja immer eine Hand frei. Denke schon das mich das stören könnte
Angezeigt wird der MAP (manifold absolute pressure), also der Absolutdruck (mit diesem Wert arbeitet das Motorsteuergerät, da der Umgebungsdruck variieren kann). Die angezeigten 0,4X bar im Leerlauf resultieren aus der nahezu geschlossenen Drosselklappe, sprich 0,45 bar Absolutdruck entspricht einem Arbeitsdruck von -0,55 bar. Eine geschlossene Drosselklappe (z.B. im Schubbetrieb) bewirkt im Ansaugkrümmer einen "Unterdruck" (negativer Überdruck).
Das klingt plausibel:)

I have a gti mk7 since 3 years and i'm going to change it next year. I can't decide between golf R, clubsport, S3,..I want to upgrade for something more powerfull but i'm afraid the clubsport isn't worth the change . But it looks so nicer than the R with the bucketseat spoiler etc...
in my opinion none of them worth the change for daily useage..

Sport mode? Here in this shit country are those modes optional, so im not paying for it. I dont have driver profile selection

dein Kommentar ist doch total unqualifiziert. warum sollte man nen neuen GTI mit nem alten Opa vergleichen?? ist doch total Quatsch. der Opc ist in jeder Hinsicht unterlegen
+Runn3r89 Dein Kanal und Deine Meinung interessiert mich nicht. Jeder GTI war bisher eine Liga unter dem OPC angesiedelt. Das jetzt ein Sondermodell mit Motor aus dem Cupra kommt ok. Da kann er vermutlich mal mithalten der GTI. Ansonsten waren die Verhältnisse immer. klar. Von der Performance konnte nie ein GTI mit nem OPC mithalten. Weder beim Golf 5 noch 6 noch beim 7er GTI der OPC war immer schneller zum Beispiel auf der Rennstrecke oder von 0 auf 100.
+Flo27GTC G3 da habe ich aber andere Erfahrungen gemacht. der opc braucht immer mindesten 50 PS mehr als nen GTI um mindestens gleich schnell zu sein. das würde mir als Entwickler schon zu denken geben.
und natürlich interessiert dich meine Meinung, sonst würdest du nicht antworten :D

Beim Sound geht aber beim GTI mehr, als beim Focus RS. Solche Autos fährt man ja auch nicht Serie. Den könnte VW auch ohne Abgasanlage verkaufen :D
Wenn ich mir mal anschaue was Milltek für den Focus RS anbietet bin ich mir nicht sicher ob da beim GTI noch mehr geht;)
+Automann-TV Ich hab den Performance ab Turbo mit durchgehendem Rohr. Und nem Mittelschalldämpfer mit Klappe fürn TÜV. Das ist so brutal laut. Und beim Schalten knallts schön. Hab auch den größen Upgradelader und 390 PS. Mehr geht mit den Kolben leider nicht. Im Clubsport gehen ja bis knapp 500 PS. Aber stimmt schon. Fahrdynamisch dürfte bzw ist der Focus RS, mit seinem sehr guten Allrad auch dem Golf R, selbst wenn man den auch 400 PS chippen würde weit vorraus. Liegt ja unter anderem an den ganzen Sperren. Habe auch wegen des Preises überlegt mit als nächsten den RS zu holen aber der gefällt mir von hinten und vom Innenraum nicht und nur als 5 Türer verfügbar. Hab ja eh grade mal 15t Km. Also muss ich eh noch ein weilchen fahren. Und dann is der TT RS ja verfügbar. Ein traumhaftes Auto. Mein Bruder hat den TTS. Der Innenraum ist perfekt, da sehe ich vom Platzangebot gerne ab. Hoffe die vergessen die Sportschalen nicht.
Martin Zwanefeld Klingt gut. TTRS ist bei mir auch ganz oben auf der Liste;) In 4 Wochen sollt die Fahrveranstaltung sein, aber leider kann ich wohl nicht....muss man schauen, dass ich bald einen bekomme. Der RS ist vom Fahrwerk und Querdynamik wirklich extrem gut gelungen, mein S3 hat da nicht Ansatzweise ne Chance, eher das Niveau von dem 410 PS Performmaster A45 den ich vor kurzem mit Cup-Fahrwerk hatte. Innenraum ist für mich eigentlich kein KO-Kriterium, man liest so viel schlechtes, aber das ist alles solide verarbeitet und sehr funktional, Geräuschdämmung ist sogar besser als im Audi. Auch die 5-Türen stören weniger als man denkt, vom Design her auch kein Manko, dass kommt eher auf dem Foto so rüber als in der Realität, der steht sehr gut da.
+Automann-TV Ja sind halt persönliche Vorlieben. Und wenn man einmal in nem TT gesessen hat, dann weiß man, was Verarbeitungsqualität ist. Klar ans Ziel kommt man auch mit nem Dacia :) Dafür kann man sich für einen TT RS, 10 Sanderos kaufen. Oder 2 Focus RS oder mit Rabatt 3 Clubsports. Ich hoffe, dass Audi die Aufpreisliste nicht ganz so Schmerzhaft macht. Aber bei 90000 werde ich wohl landen :( . Da ist noch sparen angesagt und der GTI muss weg. Wo so viel Arbeit drin steckt und viel Geld, was man nict wieder bekommt. Aber so is das mit Tuning.

Dan K Looks nothing like this, & cant send 100% of power to front wheels. Also, the Clubsport already has the R engine. Its just tuned down 10 hp from factory. All this for 11.000 dolars less. But most likely only here in Europe ;)

Dan K LoL, how come soo many misunderstand. Clubsport is avalible as both 2 & 4 door. This will be my 2nd 4 door Golf. Its the Clubsport S, that is only availible as 2 door (since the throw out the backseat to keep down the weight thers no use for 4 doors). But normal Clubsport have both backseat & 4 doors.
The 4-door is not coming to the USA from what I read in a VW press release.
