Acebeam brand new tactical light L17 is the most ultra-long range tactical flashlight designed in the industry that runs on one single 18650. The L17 offers three different LED options available for different users' needs: OSRAM White, Green and Red light LED. The white LED, delivers MAX 1,400 lumens and 802 meters, is great for tactical and day-to-day lighting, while the green and red are great for preserving night vision and other activities like fishing and hunting. All options come with an impressive lumen output, throw, and a defensive strobe mode for quick, on-the-fly self-defence. The most most impressive feature of the L17 is it's ability to give off light up to 802 meters away. Considering the body is barely 14cm long, having that much throw packed into a small tactical light is amazing!

If i will unscrew the tailcap of L17 and put it on L16 - will it work on L16 in tactical mode ("press-turbo/halfpress-turbo")????
2 years and going strong. My first long thrower .
Glad to have this Amazing Light in my Collection, And the New L19 2.0 Osram Pm1
The people in that house thinking they're being probed by aliens
Bro the way that you are representing the light and reviewing it I like it and the music I wish everybody they would use the same thing it's so calming Good job my brother Good video I'm subscribing 👍👍👍
Hello Matt. I've just read your review. I know that it's a little bit late. However, I've just bought the L17. It's a great little flashlight. I've had a play with the switch and I think that it's an electronic touch switch. You're right it produces no sound at all. Its a lovely little light. I'm not really a fan of the tactical tail rings, I find them uncomfortable. You can take the ring off of this lamp. However, that leaves the pocket clip vulnerable to coming off. The clip is mostly supported by the tactical ring being in place. If the ring is removed the pocket clip only having a two thirds circumference to grip the flashlight body comes away quite easily. So, really the ring has to stay in place. Which for me is a pain in the bum. But all in all a very nice flashlight as well as the usual great review. Cheers mate.
Own the Acebeam E10 and it's a fun little pocket thrower, throws a couple hundred meters less but it's also a lot smaller, a big fan if Acebeam, top notch quality and durability imo ,and I'm sure to add this one soon, as always good review ..thanks
They discontinued it!!
Quite an impressive thrower for such a small light! I was hoping that the Convoy C8+ with the SST40 would be in the comparison but I don't recall you reviewing that particular one. I picked the Convoy up back in January and was totally blown away by its performance. It definitely performed beyond my expectations for such a small light. I have very few throwers as I just don't have the need to go much beyond 200-250 meters 99% of the time. So my FT03 XHP50.2 5700K, C8+ SST40 5000K, and Nextool XHP50.2 easily fill my needs.
Thank you though for another great review of a light the I can do without! lol
Great review, as always and thanks for sharing your impressions. I have the L16, which I think is a great tactical torch with rated ~600m throw, useful spill (even on lower modes), better mode spacing and the screw-in diffuser accessory turns it into an excellent flood light. My other favourite tactical is my Klarus XT11GT, with instant turbo and strobe switches/paddle on the tail cap (and side switch for one- touch moonlight, with a well thought-out electronic lock out of press and hold to lock and press 3x to unlock, unlike the Acebeam) and can still tail stand. It has a really useful combination beam. Anyway, cheers.
Imagine sneaking up on that castle in the dark 800 years ago, when suddenly you are bathed in white-hot circle of light.
LMAO Yeah, and from 250 meters away. The castle's guards would be crapping their pants.
@@craigs7181 Security there crapped it last year!
Great review and light. I would prefer more balanced throw with flood as well especially on lower modes.Acebeam makes some awesome products!
Simply amazing. I ordered one bec of the video.
Hope you enjoy the torch!
4:23 there’s something about seeing that beam move on and off the screen giving me major uncanny valley vibes.
I agree , gives weird vibes lol
Thank you 😊👍🏻
So, which exactly Osram white led is that (model)? Osram makes several white leds. And how many amps it draws on highest mode?
video made just awesome
i still love the acebeam L16 simply because of its higher lumens output
Great video..the sound and the scene was epic! The L17 really does punch through. How does it compare with the Thrunite Catipult V6?
How does this compare to the e10 that I've ordered?
What so after 3 min your torch is flat on turbo what the point in owning one
Have you ever tested different reflectors with the same led/driver to see if your KG lightbox gives you the same reading? Theoretically it should, since it measures lumens and the reflector doesn't really change that but I wonder at the extreme ends, if maybe it overestimates lumens of throwy lights and underestimates floody lights, or vice versa.
Comparing to olight warrior x pro, which one go further ?
Finally the first useful review for the l17, always find your vids helpful when deciding on a new torch!
Would you have any idea on how this compares to the Acebeam e10? Afaik they both have the same optic. I'm currently trying to decide between this l17 and the Manker u22 ii.
Performance wise the L17 buries it, but the E10 is tiny.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV I Have the E10, it's a neat little light, but since my Noctigon KR1 has arrived, I'm in love with that light! :))
KR1 has Anduril, E10 has the same UI as the L17, KR1 overthrows the E10 by about 100m, but both flashlights are kewl!
About the L17: it looks like the E10 on steroids, has the same optics (catadioptric, check the Wikipedia article on that), the E10 is one of the cheapest AceBeam lights with its $50 pricetag (including a similar 26350 battery as the FiTorch P25 has) - I had to check: the L17 costs around $75.
But if you want a REAL GOOD pocket thrower, it would be the Noctigon KR1 with the 18350 tube - I just LOOOVE it! ;))
@@StormChild TBH I'm still a Cometa guy. Though a little heavy.
Good work.
I recently bought WeTool W11 thrower. It is shorter, has optional yellow filter cap, and is a laser thrower. On and off tactical switch on back. Simple and easy to use. It’s incredible. And I own way too many lights. It has remarkable throw with very little spill.
Drop offered a group for sale but you can get for a Hondo many places. Not sure if you have reviewed but if not I think you’ll be impressed.
Doesn't seem to exist
My bad
Weltool t11
1 lumen.com has a review
Drop may still have them for sale too.
I have a question, after using turbo 3 or so minutes as you said in video and after that you cool down the flashllight, you can use turbo again?
Yes
Hi awesome review. Did you have trouble charging the battery ?. Mine won't seem to charge for it's first charge. And the button doesn't seem to click when pressed.
I mention issues in the review and I didn't keep it for long as I'm a flood guy
Great review. I guess some people lose sight of the fact that this is a tactical light. It's ideal for illuminating targets at distance when shooting (if you aren't running NV or Thermal). It's perfect for my use case. Thanks for the video.
I love this light, use it looking for deer at night, making sure my yard is clear of people and animals whén I let my dog out
Do you know if I can screw the L16 or L30 body onto the L17 head?
I only have the L17
What music did you use? I like this suite a lot.
Might be Pillars OST, I don't recognise it tbh.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV Seems like you use two main sources: "Pillars of Eternity II:Deadfire - Serpent's Crown - The Gullet," and "The Last Chronicle - The King of the Highlands."
Do You know exact model of emitter used here? Acebeam writes just "Osram white".
I'm not sure.
The Manker U22 11 at a similar size as the L17 . the U22 11 puts out 850lm at 1020m and 260,000cd , so i would say that it puts out more punch. Also uses the OSRAM LED.
Magic to laser bro👍👍👍
I am from Indonesia 🙏
is it almost the same as astrolux ft03 sst40? or better distance?
Nah, it even falls 110m short of the FT03 50.2!
What’s the best flood type light, I’ve got the ms06 already?
Acebeam X80GT for pure flood. But not the best tint.
Lumintop - nice !
Not a fan
I think I'll order the light, but is acebeam's machining, and battery charging is taking a step backwards?
The machining is pretty good, stylish with smooth edges but it could use more fins for the heat. The provided and recommended battery terminated charging off a USB cable too early for my liking.
Nice video, there is one thing I didn't agree with however. The optic used on the L17, E10, and MC13 has been proven to be very efficient.
They just seem to get very hot fast, don't reach the claimed output and use battery power quickly. Who said they are efficient, a seller?
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV Do your research reviewer and you might learn something. Not by word of mouth but by facts of test! Does anyone believe in doing your job to the best of your ability anymore rather than just saying nonsense you made up?
@@markduran2448 Lol a Texas integrating tube fanboy clearly. TIR optics are only efficient at turning spill into throw, the lens itself absorbs quite a few lumens in the process compared to a traditional reflector.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV Once again you prove your ignorance! The point is this optic is changing the throw game. Everyone knows you loose a percentage of lumens with optics compared to a reflector. Maybe 15 to 30 percent with most optics and even more with a spherical lens. There has never been a thrower optic of this caliber available to the public before. You loose less than 10 percent of out the front lumens with this optic. And the best part is there isn't a spill to speak of. Because true dedicated throw lovers don't want a spill. This optic is nearly LEP level and it will only get better with time! But right now it's a game changer. I will advise you to let this go before you look more foolish than you already do. You don't know what your talking about. Again take some time to research it and then come back at me! But then you want be able to. Reviewer 0-2 Commenter 2-0.😉
@@markduran2448 ♠ 🕳 You know full well I referred to light transmittance and not light gathering. 😂
I always like the ending intensity zombie like music! Bravo!
I think I like the Lumintop GT mini best for beam and UI!
I know I love mine!
I think acebeam has a ton of tough competition in this segment of there line up. Emisar has a good product as mentioned in the other comments that has anduril UI and great performance. Lumintop as in this video has a great comparative product with anduril UI and is cheaper. Convoy has there C8+ lineup and they have the advantage of remote switch availability for gun mounting the light (and much cheaper). For a simple budget thrower if size isn't an issue the Astrolux FT03 xhp 50.2 beats this light. For $70 at amazon US this is pricey compared to the alternatives mentioned. These comments aren't meant to pick on the product, just very unsure of the value (cost to quality).
Are you able to momentary turbo from the tailcap?
Nope, only constant on to low mid high, probably one of 2 weaknesses tactically, that and no moonlight mode.
FLASHAHOLICS thank you for the quick response. No momentary is a deal breaker for me based on what I’d use the light for.
Love your reviews man thanks for putting in the work.
👍🏼
L18 soon? Would you compare them two please
thanks for the video, have you seen the new Acebeam L18?
1000m. Looks big though
great video production (you are talented) Solid me on the light for my needs. Where is the castle? I live in BC Canada
Castle is in Wakefield, Uk.
On turbo it's flat in 3 min what's the point mose we'll have a normal everyready tourch for $20
Where/how do you see 3 minutes? Thats a lie. My green one goes over an hour on Turbo..ALL of them do. Stop lying about things you know nothing about.
I will continue on with my older L16 model. A better flashlight in my opinion
May not be very practical but I want one..
it's extremely practical...
Still love CPF italia Comrta. Bright to everywhere. 👍👍 Really allsome.
Me too, I bought a shit load of them
Hi..i'm from indonesia
Nice review bro..and the zombie still exist in that dangerous place😎
I want to ask how about tactical/EDC flashlight with SBT90.2,which one are the best between Amutorch XT45 - stalker Ni40 - Lumintop FW21 X9L??
Probably Lumintop as it has the Anduril UI.
Ok..that a nice choice i think, tactical ring for lumintop FW21 are compatible used on that FW21 X9L tube?

Hi, which country is that! The landscape so nice!

@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV I stayed in Singapore, I think I can get cheaper Acebeam lights here!

Good review.
But do I get the white or the red LED.
🤔
white is for regular use, and red is for hunting, in case you need a coupon, here's the link:nitetorch.com/go/ncsc
With that beam and no spill i would say hunters will be all over this flashlight
Definitely, probably a good alternative to Aspheric lights and pencil beam LEP's.
I think so, also i noticed that they have a remote pressure switch for this light. It would be interesting to have an acebeam reviewed with a remote pressure switch, I've never seen a review where the remote pressure switch was demonstrated.

If you change the lens in your Cometa to a original Zaxman lens, you take over 10K of intensity.I have done this myself. Also the color will be better.
I did look into it but couldn't find the lens at the time.
FLASHAHOLICS Did you ask to Zaxman?Also,L17 ,looking at your photos, seems to have more throw than Cometa, which is about 155-160KCd..
@@ThPappas They threw about the same. Thees Cometa never look bright because of the blue tint.
I would like to see the acebeam L17 vs the manker mc13
I did it!
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV I actually meant to make a video about the 2 lights separately, but yes, you did make a comparison. I just said this because these 2 lights seem so much the alike, maybe an in depth review would be nice, since the prices are not so much the same.
@@senjean6927 The L17 has a muxh wider beam. Similar throw
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV Okay, thanks;-)
I just feel the modes are poorly spaced... high at 300lm? Should be around 600-700 imo. But a solid light overall.
I think it's 300 because Turbo drops down to around 600, clever in a way. I suppose you don't want too many modes for a Tactical light.

That's up to Acebeam
The l17 should only be high and turbo

wildernnnnnsssshhhhhhh
Lights like this (with a small bright spot in the middle) are very poor in EDC situations, they kill your night vision and you can't see anything to the side.
I think they are designed to shed as little light as possible at your location for tactical/hunting reasons. They aren't great for casual use though.
This isn't an EDC torch.
You are quite right... that's why you have to carry a floody light AND a dedicated thrower.
I Strongly Disagree. Throwers make Excellent EDC lights for those that know how to use them.
@@Snapper314 Agree. If you carry a thrower lower to your side you can effectively "smear" the beam and spill to illuminate much more area in front of you.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA great video on top of the castle was good
