A face to the voice!! Great reviews! Been sub for a long time and you always put out quality reviews! Thank you for helping me spend my money 😉
Thanks for the continued support!
Great review! Detailed and useful.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great review, thanks
Great review! I enjoy my throwers like the Catapult V6 and the GT Mini, but this clearly throws even better! Awesome!
Thanks!
Great review. Many thanks.
Great review 👍. Man I would have loved to see a comparison with that Astrolux FT03 😔
best review ive seen on L17
The warrior X Turbo has a max beam distance of 1000 m. and 1100 lumens, which I just bought a couple of months ago, I really like it!
So if you take the ring off what stops the cap when screwing it down?
I love the L16 2000 lumens and I think it looks much better .imo
But just ordered the acebeam T27 thrower.
Hey buddy another great video 🖐️👍
Nice review as always Badger, that emitter is an Osram white, lower lumens/high candela flat (dedomed) unit and they utilizing a Carclo Catadioptric lens so very much like a projector as you mentioned, you can build this light on a C8 platform for under 30-35 bux and have 45 bux left over to buy more flashlights ;-) all parts needed are available at mountain electronics, i am kinda amazed that its getting so hot because that is a 3 volt emitter and very touchy on amperage as far as you can not run a mosfet type driver on it or it will smoke, has to be under 3 -4 amps on driver max. this is probably going to be my next build so sparked my interest..but at 75 bux i believe i will build rather than buy
Oh cool, you should do a build video or something
@@LiquidRetro im a flashlight nerd not a movie star like you Badger, lol will leave the videos to you,you do an excellent job
great review
Thanks!
Hey buddy great video 😌
Hi, thanks for the review. I really like to know, it is easy to go from off to Turbo ? Double clic could be fast with the tail switch ? Because I had a acebeam with mecanical switch and it was not nice, need a lot of pressure, loose time not good. Thank you very much
I would say the rear switch is medium pressure
My L17 tube unscrews at both ends.
I just got mine and I love it. A question; how do I know if the battery is fully charged ? Using the supplied USB C cable directly onto the battery.
The charging status led should go green
Great review. With the button is it suppose to click ? I just got one and the button doesn't have that click like other flashlights. I haven't tested if it works yet as battery is charging.
From memory I think it's a silent button. I think I mentioned that somewhere
@@LiquidRetro yeah I heard you say silent but just thought you would be able to feel a click when pressed.
Have you ever tried the Acebeam E10 white ? Do you think it's a good E.D.C.able mini thrower ?
I haven't, it does look nice
Hello. Can you tell is that possible to put tail cap from L17 on L16????? Will it work on L16?
Not sure sorry
I have a question, after using turbo 3 or so minutes as you said in video and after that you cool down the flashllight, you can use turbo again?
Yep
This is such a great video! I'm a flashlight noob, so I wanted to ask about runtime. The Acebeam chart says the turbo runtime is 75 minutes, but you said the flashlight stepped down from turbo after four minutes. Is the 75 minute runtime in turbo possible if you turn off the flashlight off periodically to prevent it from heating up? Thanks.
To do that you would have to cool it and turn it off every 4 minutes. I can't say if it will last that long or not. The Acebeam number is total runtime including the drops
@@LiquidRetro I understand now. Thanks a ton!
@@LiquidRetro
How much does it step down?
Does the TailCap of Acebeam L17 have the double-action press (press (constant light)/halfpress (light till hold))???
Yes
@@LiquidRetro If i will unscrew the tailcap of L17 and put it on L16 - will it work on L16 in tactical mode ("press-turbo/halfpress-turbo")????
Not sure, I don't have an L16.
Hi! I would like to know if the lens is real glass or plastic?
Glass
Is it normal that the indicator light on the battery is always on?
Yes
@@LiquidRetro cool, thanks for replying.
I bought mine.. Sort of forgot between ordering it and getting it. That the color features are just for what color you order yours at. I was thinking you get all the colors. But i was wrong.
?
@@LiquidRetro i was first going to ask how you change the color of the light.. But im guessing what ever color your light is.. Is the color of the light.. I thought mine would come with green and red and white
Ya its a single led so whatever color you order is the color it will always be. You can't change colors on the light. You have to order a different model if you want a different color
The thumbnail looks like a shadow man holding a knife!
Haha Ya something like that
yes i thought he was doing a "psycho montage" lol
ACEBEAM L18 next?
I wish!
And to turn on from the back is to hard U need the botton at the front
is my edc...blinding disoriented people out to at least 20 feet in full daylight
What's the point in buying one . The light almost flat after 3 min on turbo
That's not my experience, seems you got a bad battery. Try reaching out to customer support. They will fix you up.
I buy the V6 and the battery go flat 1 hour and doze not even go back to low we were left in the dark .and the turbo cannot hang on to it after 15 second
That's not my experience, seems you got a bad battery. Try reaching out to customer support. They will fix you up.
That huge gap between turbo and high is disappointing.
I have this light and high is very usable. The gap seem lower in person than the numbers suggest maybe twice as bright?
So The Specs saying 1400 lumens runtime is 1 hour 15 min is NOT true ?! But ONLY Good for 3 min 30 sec ???!!!!… then you get maybe 700 lumens ? and for what duration in total ?…
Take a look at the graph again. This rating and stepdown is super common on all lights. It's how the FL1 rating standard is setup
@@LiquidRetro so In fact, you only get about 4 min at 1400 lumens ? Then brightness goes down 50% ?…
Yes if you don't reactivate turbo. Heat and battery voltage are both limiting factors. This is common in the industry
@@LiquidRetro Thanks !
This turbo is worthless, it steps down way to fast.. Because of 'heating bs protection'
If I need minute after minute turbo, then this acebeam fails..
The astrolux ft03 is way better in heating and cooling endurance...
I'm disappointed in the heat protection of this one,
is there a pocket flashlight related to this one with decent turbo time candela and lumen? 😪
