Of course Mako has to do her job and of course Republic City can't just get involved in another nation's civil war, but at the same time it's normal for Korra to be annoyed that nobody wants to help her (at least that's how she sees it), it's her nation and her family, and she's always been impulsive, of course she won't be neutral, especially after what Unalaq did
But many people interpret this as Korra being stupid and aggressive towards everyone for no reason...

Another person who fail to get where Korra is coming from. Korra is very stressed and pressured, a heavy burden for being the Avatar and almost losing her father, and chaos in her homeland, you know a burden on what? A TEENAGER.
Compare mako and korra's interaction to korra and someone on book 3.
@@Gemini_mind weird response to a joke comment, but I will entertain you, fellow human. Most people do not relate to Korra in this way and consider this a massive flaw in her character. Contributing to the opinion of season 2 unanimously being considered the worst season of LOK.
Sometimes writers make mistakes and make characters unlikeable, look at Amber from Invincible and the complete 180 the writers did to her character for season 2.
@@0hReactions you sayingvfellow human is weirder anyway... writing characters with "flaws" is not a mistake. Writers wrote Korra as flawed as human would if they are burdened with all that as a teenager, also as the Avatar but isolated for most of her life. Pretty sure you would do dumber things when you are put on Korra's shoes on your teenage years. Korra was doing her best to be the Avatar but she's a daughter and a person too.
There are videos out there already explaining how beautiful her character arc is for those like you who need to handholding to understand context and character growth.
Maybe writers didn't expect for a simple context to feel complex for some audience like you.

Agreed, Mako is utterly incompetant at best when he gets into romance, but when he's doing... pretty much anythuing else, he's a far more interesting and tolerable character.

I think season 2 is honestly ok, looking back at. Maybe just the later half is where I get a bit sour at it, but even then it’s never bad. I think it’s just the objectively weaker season, but it does have some super incredible episodes in it as well coming up. Also, gotta love Varrick!!

If you guys want a Kyoshi adaptation, you should read her novels! They are amazing, the story is great and the characters are all incredible!! It's worth it even if you don't usually enjoy reading!

First I want to say the intro is adorable, with smooth music, & fluid transitions. I didn't have the chance to mention this last video, but the level of understand you have (Dee) amazes me. I passively watched it, not really thinking too heavily into what or how things were going to play out, but the way you were able to accurately deduce what was going to happen was amazing.
The whole situation between Korra & Mako was inevitable. All you see of their relationship is constant bickering. On one end I feel for Mako, he just wants to help Korra even when the advice he's giving doesn't support her, but he also needs to read the room; Korra's entire tribe is being occupied, her father's on the run fighting a civil war, & to top it all off she's the Avatar who has to took the peace while also staying neutral. Korra & Mako didn't seem all that compatible, their attraction to one another felt more appearance motivated instead of on a personal level. Now Korra & Asami? I jest... for now.
This episode we also get Meelo's drill Sargent origin story. Just like Tenzin said, he did create a monster. While last episode the focus was on Ikki, & the episode before that a little tease at Jinora. Say what you will about Book 2, but you can't deny this' where we got the first taste of Tenzin's family. It might not be perfect, but it's still a family that loves one another, which not until writing this did I realize that we don't have a whole lot of those in the entire series (ATLA included).
I'm going to lightening round the whole Mako investigation & Bolin movers arc., because once again I've already written way more than a CZcams comment requires, but just know that these threads start here.

Definitely not the best season but I still really liked it. I can't wait till season 3 ❤ literally the best season in the whole avatar verse, in my opinion!
Yes, this season is definitely hard to just "Power Through", but yet it DEFINITELY MIRRORS TODAY'S POLITICAL AND SADLY PERSONAL Viewpoints... So if you ladies can see the Forest through the Trees, its definitely a good start.
P.s. The next few episodes are some of my favorite in the ENTIRE Avatar SERIES... EVEN OVER AANG ❤..
PLUS as far as the relationship drama goes, i am completely on Korra's side in THAT drama lol Rest The Cause, were moving on.
I think season 2 in engaging and fun for the first watch but more boring to rewatch unlike the other seasons , but we’re catching up to my fav episodes 😅
Kyoshi has two books and it's very good apparently. I bought it 2 months back but haven't had time to read them
It's so good! Every single character is interesting and has a distinct personality! (Which usually is hard to do in books) Plus the flow of the fights and the pace of the book is great. You won't regret reading it.
The novels are honestly fantastic! I'm doing a re-read right now, on Yangchen's second novel. I hope they do more novels in the future 😊

This episode was honestly a bit hard to watch for me because of how frustrating everything was, specifically the arguments between Korra and Mako. It actually reminded me of 1x05 and how I felt so much cringe and second-hand embarrassment.
Anyways, Korra being hotheaded would be an understatement lol. She's basically emotionally compromised at this point and who could blame her? She is personally invested in the conflict since this involves her home and family. I remember Mike and Bryan saying back before S2 aired that this season was going to be difficult for Korra because of personal reasons, and you can see why. She's just not prepared to handle something as personal as this and as a result, she lashes out at everyone around her (really doesn't help that she feels like no one cares or is always against her). Mako getting the brunt of it all since he's in a relationship with her, which also shows Korra does not know how to handle nor differentiate between what's personal and professional/work.
Meeting president Raiko was not boring for me since I think hints are there 😁

I also agree the first half of the this season is slow but picks up in the second half
