FYI the dromedary is great if you just freeze something in the shop and leave it there for a few turns, since each turn it scales up. Could do that with a rooster for example to marinate it.

Bro that melon'd beetle on the first run saved you sooo many times, you dumped it and immediately lost 2 lifes
selling the beetle which is basically a 19/36 that becomes 19/16 if you're unlucky enough to get hit by a weak attack, the strongest unit in the team despite not investing in it at all, because "it's a tier 1 unit" gave me severe brain damage
PSA: the poodle buffs are applied from left to right. So if you have say another tier 4 animal that you want to get buffed you put it further left than the poodle. it basically just goes through your list and checks if that tier has been buffed yet.

I don’t really understand the poodle. It says it buffs different tier animals but at one point it was buffing itself as well? Just do not get the mechanics
@@ericmasta The poodle will buff 1 animal from each tier. So if you have 2 or more animals of the same tier, only the leftmost animal will be buffed. Also, the poodle will buff itself, so if all of your animals are of different tiers then they will all receive the poodles buff.

But a 10/10 Octopus, if he just finds 3 more it'll be a 13/13 octopus that might get to shoot a few rocks or something! Surely better than giving his entire squad +2/+2 and keeping the 17/18 :P.

Not selling the rhino actually would have let him win. The extra splash from it's pepper would have killed the poodle.

i think the opposite. the overvalues garlic and minor buffs like +1/1. both are largely irrelevant late game. 3 rerolls is way more valuable imo
@@jackfraust1002 levelling is highly irrelevant for a lot of animals late game, so rerolls become a lot less useful

NL giving no respect to the chick does hurt, just look at the little guy he is trying his best. Real talk buffing your most powerful unit is real good if it can one shot another one or two enemies, or even just trade with their fattie equally instead of getting the whole squad run over. Also your strongest unit kinda has to be up front since if the other guy does it and you don't they could run over half the squad and still trade with your strongest unit anyway.

It's not so cut and dry; you need to basically 'know' the timing of when scorpions could start coming out and kinda plan around that. But yes, in general, you're correct.
Its great how much better NL has gotten at this game but once thing that still cracks me up is how he can't tell who is going to win each battle until the last animals face each other off. It kinda has its charm, like he's still discovering the game even though he's actually kinda good at it now.

I think with a level 2 Drom you could afford to just freeze somethink like a cheetah in the shop for a couple rounds before putting him in the squad
It's basically the entire reason to run Dromadary. Instead he just rerolls away the first group of animals that have the buff without considering it...
I wish NL would realise he's able to buff the beetle while giving it melon armor and that they aren't mutually exclusive.

Rhino is actually pretty 'meh' in the expansion. It's all about 50/50 butterflies and curses.
Why does NL always insist on scaling? Raw stats win this game for the most part and he keeps dumping his strongest units for "scaling"

everything costs 3 gold except for the sleeping pill which only costs 1

Puppy buffs if he doesn't spend 2, T-rex buffs the whole team if he doesn't spend 3, so having both of them sort of synergizes a bit.

nl, level 3 octopus is broken as heck if you can get the setup for it
It does five damage at a point where most builds are 50/50s. If it doesn’t kill, or doesn’t allow your pet to live one more round I don’t think it’s worth it. That five damage won’t take away any meaningful hp, that wouldn’t be depleted by the next attack anyways. It also won’t kill.
You would need ten rounds of survival. If we lowball it say they all have 40 hp, you would still need eight rounds of survival, to kill one or two units unit. (Presuming your other units aren’t just four turtles and can do damage)
He already had it and it basically wiped the whole enemy squad alone.

when it dies it spawns a dirty rat on the enemy's side. it has an effect when the enemy in front attacks, it deals damage to it. BUT, you have to fight the dirty rat and if it remains you still lose.
