For real. I just started playing for the first time today and had 2 deer, a parrot to copy deer ability, and a level 2 turkey for three 11/11 buses!
Every time his mouse passes nearby the turkey without hovering it, a sheep cries
He rolled past Turkey and of course tiger comes up next round.

This entire series is like watching your dad “help” you with your math homework.
Watching him undervalue the giraffe or other permanent scaling units hurts me on a deeper level. He runs into a team of full 30, 30s and goes "are you seeing this" yeah its called permanent scaling. You can do this egg!

May this finally be the day NL takes a shark to replace the dog, or turkey to replace the horse. Objective improvements between tiers seem to have evaded him thus far.
Edit: today was not that day, the turkeys and sharks were provided to the prophet egg, and he stood by his trusty dog. He's nothing if not loyal.

I get what you're saying, but shark isn't objectively better than dog. Shark has a better ability during combat, but it's much easier to permanently scale dog during the shopping phase via animal cycling and using sleeping pills on animals like the sheep. Though ofc if your dog doesn't pop off by the time a shark rolls around it's not a bad idea to replace it

This for sure. But I think this is an old recording before NL was actually bothering to read tier 5/6 animals because they mind flood him.
I think this game has potential to be evergreen with proper support from the devs

Unfortunately, they need to watch for the possibility to "solve" the game. Up until now I was able to win most (90%) of the time by using the caterpillar with conjunction of the team scaling units (poodle -> tyrannosaurus) a one self-scaling unit (Bison or a Buffalo) and foods (possibly with a Sauropod). two or three 50/50 units by the end of the game. No amount of deers/bats were able to stop that. Maybe it's a question of meta, but the game starts to lose the appeal for me if there's a certain way to win.
Hearthstone Battlegrounds is a very close game to this one, and is proven evergreen. It changes up its meta several times a year, and is pretty much always interesting to play.
If something becomes oppressive or unfun to play, they just change it. And they frequently inject new units to keep it fresh.
Another well-known Canadian streamer's been playing it exclusively for like three years
@@fractal_mind562 since they have separate queues now for people that paid for the other animals I don't see why it would matter.
@@Neonskeleton22 Yeah, unfortunately it divides up the player base though. On stream yesterday (the 4th) NL was getting the same people over and over. I think the better system would be to go full on cosmetics and make all the animals free. Let people dress up each animal however they like with individual items.

Watching the off-stream vids recorded days ago before anyone knew how to play the game vs the streamed ones where everyone plays solid meta is a trip man.

it would have been alright if he didn't level the sheep, but he did.. The whale only seems to have good synergy with a deer

@@TheFizzster I've had some good syngery with whale + flamingo I think? Whatever animal that when it faints it gives the next two animals god tier buffed stats.

NL, there is still lots of value to be picked up in upgrading stats via food. Your setups are good, a little more stats will go a long way. :)

Give him another juice and another squeeze and he just might realize the Torkey is just a late game absolutely pogged version of the horse.
The entirety of the early game of the last run is hilarious, freezing tier 1 ants on tier 3 because they slightly buff the peacock? He wants to make sure the ant only has two choices but the horse has created all its value by the time the ant dies, so it might as well be ahead.
And don't even get me started on selling the fish over the otter....

if you actually place the units on the board instead of just dragging them on for exp you buff the dog permanently. yeah it does force you to sell at least one unit but most of the time especially early you want to replace your weakest unit anyways and doing it at the end of the turn is just fine
He knows this. The CZcams vods were filmed before his first win. You can tell which is which by either the description or the upload time

Flamingo giving +1/+1 to 2 units is a "heavy buff" but the penguin is giving 3/3 to all units permanently every turn.
NL, the horse doesn't have to be at the back, it just needs to be behind the animals that spawn other animals after fainting.
I find the true power of the dog is to self upgrade OUTSIDE the battle. Matching with the horse is actually not that great, but in battle, it doesn't scale very well. Dog is better selling and buying lots of friends, while the horse is better with stable summoning friends.
Honestly, Ranks for this game would be great
Meh, matchmaking is based on turn #. It's replayable not because of some rank but because you have a fresh chance each new game to make it just as far. A leaderboard of some kind would be cool, but not for matchmaking purposes

NL you can use the parrot to copy the ability of the penguin, then move the parrot to the very far right so it keeps the ability, essentially duplicating penguin

I’ve won games with dragon + parrot and its very satisfying. Each turn your whole team get at least +4/+4 is insane.

How much he overvalues Ant and undervalues things like Cans, Fish, Dog, and most importantly Turkey is actually kind of upsetting.

You had an opportunity for a Scorpion with the Penguin buff. I don't know if they can buff the Scorpion or not, but that would have been VERY interesting if it worked... a constantly tougher Scorpion that one-shots everything. Scary.

@@MAVIE95 it gives it's attack to the unit to the right, so if your dodo has 10 attack and you have a 10 attack unit to the right, the dodo will keep it's attack but the other unit will have 20
@@MAVIE95 It transfers its attack stack to the units in front of it. If it has 10 it adds 10 to the others, while keeping its stats.
