    would you ever do a video in depth on making the hinge for a clicker ring? I'm a beginner and one of my biggest goals is clickers! Do you ever stone set yourself? Thank you!

    • @DominiqueFlux
      @DominiqueFlux  Před 3 lety

    Great video! Do you know where to look for information about hand fabrication? I’ve seen artists who entirely hand fabricate septum jewelry but no idea where to start learning

    • @DominiqueFlux
      @DominiqueFlux  Před rokem

      You can always take a few courses at local jewelry schools, that would be your best bet :)

    Love your video. I am picky with my jewelry always wanting something different from what's popular. I have a daith peirceing and I have an industrial piercing that I love. I don't care for a lot of the charms they use for most industrial earring and have been looking at making my own removable charms. My question is where do I start in reference to making my own charms? I have watched a few wax casting and wondered if that's my best option for making my own custom charms that fits my style more?

    • @DominiqueFlux

      I would try enrolling in a few courses at a jewelry school, to learn the basic :)

    Thanks so much for making this video! Super helpful. I'm trying to find information on making body jewelry. I want to design my own piercing jewelry but can find no information on how barbells, seamless hinge rings, and other piercing jewelry is made. How did you learn how to make piercing jewelry? Are there any books or other recourses for information that you would recommend.

    • @DominiqueFlux
      @DominiqueFlux  Před 3 lety +1

      Omg honestly it was just kind of trial and error. What I would do is buy really cheap jewelry from say Ardenes and then take all the measurements and copy that as like the base, then adding my design. Then I'd go see the guys at the tattoo shops and see if they were ok XD...so yes allot of trial and error! But you will get there! :)

    Do you make any custom sized jewelry? I know I should just get my septum redone, but its pierced really low and I cant wear anything cute without it hanging down to my upper lip!
    I cant get it redone right now with COVID going on, and i dont want to lose it even though it's not placed correctly. :(

    • @DominiqueFlux
      @DominiqueFlux  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey! :)
      Yeah I can make any size, like if you want a smaller ring for say a 6mm interior instead of an 8 we can do that :) because getting it redone would really hurt :O

    1:32 could this also be known, or called, staking,!? There is a subtle difference between the two. It seems that riveting requires that you flatten the entire surface area where as staking is done to two sides of the stationary piece (the workpiece) and the piece that is moving (the boss). Placing these two together and using a stake punch creat an interference between them will insure that they do not move or give way. Either way. Your jewelry isn’t good enough for human!!! These pieces, I swear, were intended for the GODS themselves!!! They can only be described with a word that does not yet exist. A word that word melt the minds of mear mortals and just at the sheer utterances of the word can make angels weep with joy. Gods would become inspired to write poetry dedicated to the creator of these pieces. And when they found that it was a mortal of their own creation. They too would have no choice but to weep. For again. They fail to find a word that would fit such work. A word that is so nonexistent that the gods themselves can not fathom as to how this has come to pass. They have created everything. And yet this word does not. Please continue making the gods cry. We do not deserve these masterfully crafted pieces of art. To those of us that have been blessed to own one of these pieces of art. Just know that you are in position of something that cannot be described by any known words in any human languages.

    • @DominiqueFlux
      @DominiqueFlux  Před rokem

      It could be called that. We learnt the term riveting, which is when you make a small groove on either side where the post goes through, so when you hammer the post down on either side it fills the small grooves.
      Thanks for the kind words!
