It is amazing how people are so nice and kind in that island in Iceland. That itself is priceless 😀 Now Iceland is on my list of places to visit.
One of the BIGGEST PROBLEMS I had with Iceland besides the expensive costs was the name of places and things were too long and hard to read/say. I can go to China and at least when communicating with out group it's easy to understand and pronounce "Beijing', "Kumming", etc. But Iceland?? "Kleppjárnsreykir", Bláskógabyggð, Kirkjubæjarklaustur, etc .
They’re not that long for me 😂 It’s a clump of nouns, if you break it up it’s easier to say, fx Kirkjubæjarklaustur -> Kirkju - bæjar - klaustur
@@jamasunda That only makes sense if you speak the langue.
@@Homer-OJ-Simpson German is the same way, I’m just giving you a tip to help 😊
@@jamasunda oh, I new German was the same way. Didn’t know Icelandic was the same way. Do you know or the other Germanic languages like Swedish or Norwegian are the same?
@@Homer-OJ-Simpson I'm pretty sure it's the same in Norwegian, Swedish and Danish. ☺
I like your videos specially its not that long 6~8 minutes and direct to the point 👍
Thanks so much for watching!
Iceland is so cool! Glad you were able to manage with $100 for the day!
Same here lol
I'd love to visit Iceland for the beautiful scenery, and the people seem so hospiteable.
Go… it’s definitely worth it.
Remember the weather in very changeable.
Camping is a good, inexpensive option.
Avoid the Blue Lagoon….Iceland has dozens of Sports centres with facilities.
Thank you for your wonderful videos, i really like this kind of content especially when you show the houses, roads and the lifestyle in countries you visit + the Information you give, Thank you again and all the best....😊
Thanks so much❤
No doubt, Iceland is crazy expensive but somehow I survived staying there for 3 months and actually lost 25 lbs!
Why? You skipped breakfast and lunch? 😅😅😅
How did you manage to do it? :D
I guess, it's weight watchers' heaven!
I went to Iceland about 3-4 years ago and it was the most expensive place I've ever been. The cheapest hotels / airbnn were about $100-$120 and wouldn't be near a prime area. Most restaurant dishes were $15 MIN!! At what is a 'cheap' semi-fast hamburger place inside a gas station and it was about $17 for a burger and fries. that quality in the US goes for $5-$8. The food stuck so badly and was so expensive that in 7 days there, only 5 times did we eat at a restaurant. We decided to go to the grocery store for food and settled on rotisserie chicken or buy stuff to cook in our AIRBNB. We also ate a lot of peanut butter sandwiches for snacks or a small meal.
Living in Switzerland is very similar, though you get used to it. I regularly bought lunch at grocery stores and rarely eat at restaurants
@@miliba I’ve been to Switzerland. That was the next most expensive place I’ve visited! First time I went a decade ago it was USD$12 for the Big Mac value meal when it was $5-$6 in the United States!
Great video!
You should definitely visit Azerbaijan, it’s a beautiful country with interesting cuisine. Would love to see you make a similar series about Azerbaijan!
its just another level of beauty in that country seriously .i cant explain myself more for the countrys amazing view in the volcano and the ocean.thanks for creating the video of such a beautiful country.
Thanks for watching, I'm happy you liked it!
2016 ,went by local bus to Hvergerdi from the capital the river there is warm to hot.to bathe.. unreal.
2 mile walk up hill, totally worth it.
Remember, there’s very short days in the winter (9.30 -3).
Do they grow something in Iceland or everything is imported from outside?
What time of the year you traveled there ?
Great and informative clip. I wonder when you enter restaurants or stores do you get permission to film inside and people? Sometimes people might not like it, I wonder how you approach it.
Depends on the store and country. Usually people don't mind and if they do they just ask me not to film/include them in my videos and I totally respect that!
Iceland is crazy expensive a hostel is 100 budget hotels or airbnb are 150 and luxury places start at 500
I see a little Iceland in my DNA. So I figured why not explore what it's like some. I wanted to teach there some time ago. It looks like a beautiful country and not as freezing as it sounds.
50$ for dinner 30$ for ferry and the rest to not die of hunger. Yikes, yep iceland is pricy !
Icelandian people are cool I wish I was icelandian kid
Awesome place
Love your videos man. A word of suggestion: don’t change the dollar amounts for different countries, it’s all about seeing what $100 can get you anywhere.
If you want to eat it nice touristy restaurants then of course its going to be expensive but there are loads of shops selling cheap sandwiches, the lebowski bar will sell you a burger for about £10. Sure beer is expensive but its not too bad if you go off the main street and find a happy hour. Its very easy to spend a lot of money in iceland but its also not that hard not to if you try a bit.
I'm so impressed with this brown-skinned journalist. He's brilliant and used to work with CNBC.
REally bruh?? His skin colour? What's this? the 90's?
I think he has a given name
I feel like Iceland has everything you’d want in a country! Thank goodness they tricked us with the name originally to keep from overpopulation 🤣🙌
Hello . I wanted to know how much is the salary of an electrical engineer in Iceland? Is it possible to live well with this job in Iceland?
i am icelandic
if you ever come back you should visit me
Was there during January, only had 4 hours of daylight. Lol
quick question tell me all the countries you never been to
I went there in July of 2018,,after I got frustrated because of the none sense and insane high prices of everything ,I decided will never go to Iceland 🇮🇸 ☹️
Yeah it can get pretty expensive
I mean the puffins are adorable
i have a question, do you get a new sim card in every country you travel?
You can get a Google Fi SIM card which works roaming free in most of the world or if you have an e-sim enabled phone you can get SIM card from services like Airalo
I have a small router that I carry around with me, so if I'm staying for more than a few days in a country I put a sim card in the router to get data
my wife spends less that $100 in iceland every week.
😮
No hotel? No eating out? No car rental?
Edit: oh, I get it. Spend less than $100 a week by not going to Iceland
@@Homer-OJ-Simpson He probably thinks of it like she has a place to stay, sleep and has a phone etc. and so she eats for $100 a week which seems to be not enough anyway
@@multa7053 $100 a week for just groceries is probably below average unless you eat a lot of beans and rice and cheap grains. Grocery store was about 50% higher cost than in the US and spend $300-$350 a month groceries for one person or $70 a month. I guess that would come count close to $100 a week on the low end.
@@Homer-OJ-Simpson yeah, maybe. but it's definitely not a correct way to calculate the cost of living. hopefully she still lives in a house for like $100 a week lol
What’s up Broski 🦋
Iceland looks magical
Honestly looks depressing to me. 😂😂
I’ve heard Iceland got sum expensive weed😂 but I think it’s maybe not legal there but pretty common
SWITZERLANDDD GO THEREE
Lol clearly have never been to Australia if you think iceland is expensive

Super!
it's fascinating to me, how friendly the couple are...
I always believe that human basically friendly, but then something bad happen and that what makes them caution.
I put myself as an example...
I came from relative small city to capital, at first I don't understand why everyone so individual and some of them refused to answer if I asked direction, also some of my relatives in the capital told me to guard my belonging closely. Because back in my home town, let's say I went to McDonald's alone, then I wanted ketchup, I just leave my belonging at the table to took ketchup...
I then I got thief a few times (my wrong for not careful) then I began to suspicious with people that I don't know, let's say someone asking something then I began to suspicious whether this person had team that would took my belonging while I had conversations with this person..
So with this very friendly couple, because of low criminals I think they felt comfortable and safe around tourists or new People and God forbid something bad happen to them that could change their friendliness...
❤️❤️
jow wtf... 100$ is like a monthly salary in my country 😂 spending this in one day seems like insanity to me... and i am from Europe.. southern Europe

So whatd you find? 😂
I hope you upload your videos onto CZcams first.
this is 100$ off of tourism
Iceland is a European country but Europe
I hope one day I will be in Iceland. I am from Israel, a country which is slightly more expensive than Iceland. But here it's different, because it is a very sadistic country with military forced labour camps and extortive monopolies, so most people in Israel live in extreme poverty and extreme frugality and not nearly as well as people in other developed countries. I hope to get out of poverty one day. It will take many years to get out of poverty and to free myself from the systems of aggressive exploitation and aggressive extortion here. I also suffer from the heat and the humidity here, which is pretty extreme. In the future I would definitely move to a cold country, the coldest possible, if I will have the option.
Excuse me? $10 for a pretzel???
Off course they're friendly. You had your camera out the whole time. If it was me, they'll rob me and throw me off the cliff. Travelling hack #12 Always say you're a vlogger doing live stream.
