Thanks for pushing this character. For whatever reason I see so many bad takes online calling the Miis "fake characters" when they are really interesting and fun.
#MIISAREREAL yeah, i think all of the sans gunner freak abominations online rubbed people the wrong way. They are so sick tho!
l think a lot of "the miis arent real characters" comes from the fact that they werent allowed to be used in ForGlory mode in smash4, and in smash4 you were able to not only change their specials but also their weight/speed, making them seem like characters that are just for custom-moves-smash.
So people got it in their heads that they're kinda gimmicky/fake characters, and that hasnt gone away with ultimate despite having set weight/speed and having been enabled to be used against random opponents online
I think it's mostly just jokes, and some resentment because most online mii players are obnoxious as fuck to play vs.
Only brawler is interesting. Swordfighter is a basic character that always does the same thing, and gunner is extremely toxic (+4 projectile that kills among ither things). Brawler is cool tho

Burning Drop Kick is too good of a recovery move to pass up on Brawler, even without b-reverse. Combined with Feint Jump, they both make a big difference. Been a big fan of it for a while.

counter throw for Banjo is also nice for wonderwing, but then again you might want flip jump to capitalize more on the generally campy play style of Banjo

As someone who has been playing Pika/Mii Brawler for a while it's so cool to see him play the same characters as me. Love seeing my favorite player rep my characters at top level
Watching this again, wish there was a way an old player like me could get in contact with ESAM to discuss smash. I wanted to talk with you about the landing lag of burning drop kick and the stall factor of counter throw.
Counter throw used off stage as an opponents recovering can net you an easy stage-spike KO. If they wall-tech you can use the axe-kick recovery to spike them. Anyway, take care.
Mii brawler really is very fun to play! I've been using pretty much the same set of specials, aside from up-B. It does seem to be much better than I thought and I'm definitely gonna give it a try :3

I think Mii brawler is a good secondary for Esam. Maybe a third main would be good like how Esam is using steve more but his Mii brawler is super solid.

My biggest issue with burning Dropkick is just how insanely laggy the move is even if used for recovery. There are some situations where you be edge guarded in the lag of Burning Dropkick when you otherwise would've been fine. If you hit a shield as well you're prob gonna get punished since it's -22
It does bounce off shields at least

I picked up mii brawler as a secondary 3 weeks ago and always use counter but now I’m switching to feint jump because of how good it actually is I mean counter is more fun but if I want to seriously use him I need a better recovery

I use Mii Brawler as my third character, right behind bowser and pit. I think the Miis are interesting and fun characters to play as!
Counter throw is also viable (albiet still outclassed by feint jump most of the time) vs little mac and banjo imo
I use falcon kick instead of shot put because of the body armor and it kills so early

I knew it! I've been running Burning Drop Kick for years on Mii Brawler and everyone kept saying it sucked. It's just so good for recovering AND attacking.

im a suplex guy, but i have been trying fdk and its awesome for recovery (as we know suplex is a horrendous recovery move

My only question is why do you never switch up your moveset based on matchups? Like using 1212, 2232, etc? Do tournaments only allow you to make one Mii for your entire run?
From what I've heard, some tournaments allow it switching Mii Brawlers and some don't. Not sure why. Time-consuming I guess?
Larry Lurt prefers to use the command grab side-b because it's very flexible

I agree on the up b but I still use the cloud like one because idk I like it so though I see fluid jump being useful as a recovery tool/mixup I tend to use the falling half of the up b as that slot, so taking that in to account the counter is nose for super hard reads witch when playing mini brawler you kind of tend to get since while pressuring you get so many opportunities to find their habits so while I do agree if anyone decides that they like me like the cloud up b better then this is my argument for a counter though flip jump is fine as well

I dont know why people dont use burning drop kick, especially brawlers. They usually use suplex and thrust uppercut, complain about his "bad" recovery and say hes mid tier.
Uh no we use suplex because it's good, and call him high tier
@@SaphStrumm true but drop kick and the fact that it's a completely busted recovery move he doesn't even have remotely close to with suplex makes it in my eyes better.
@@SaphStrumm it most certainly does have uses outside of recovery. But as a recovery along with feint jump is kinda crazy. It has the stupid property that pichu, pikachu, and peach side b has. It bounces off of sheild making it basically unpunishable. It can be a good tech chase tool and combined with the tech. It's really good. Suplex isnt free unless you just sit there and sheild. It's a garbage recovery move and is laggy. It's still a great move but not as good on brawler.
@@SaphStrumm yes that's true but tell me when anyone has punished this out of sheild. Not even mr game and watch can. Nobody can. Yes aerial suplex is good but you have to commit to jumping. And many characters in this game have disjoints or can avoid it because its range is trash

He basically does what Mario does but better aside from up air up air fair
shot put is good, but you shouldn't be using it to try and hit the enemy - but rather making the enemy dodge it so you can gimp them

Mach punch sucks for me in particular because my controller has snapback so every time I land the setup into it, the mach punch reverses and goes the wrong way

@Wonderful_Whiscash You can't b reverse it, but you can push the other direction a few frames BEFORE the neutral b input and it faces backwards. This is the first part of inputting a wavebounce, which is essentially doing both a "reverse B" and a "B reverse" on the same move.
This also works on other non B-reversible moves, such as the charge on PAC-MAN's bonus fruit

As a 13X2 user, suplex is better if you have feint jump but bdk is extremely viable, especially if you don’t like dying and i think everyone here knows that you don’t like dying after getting hit once offstage, thing is suplex is a fast command grab that does 22 on a brawler type character that sometimes feels like a fast grappler so yeah suplex is better but bdk is viable af still, moral of the story: don’t use onslaught kids

I learned by myself a 0 to death with Mii brawler: Nair (Sour/sweet spot), Dtilt, Fair (fast fall),Fair, 2nd up B, you both die.

Counter throw is good against banjo and little Mac because they’re not particularly good at edgegaurding anyway and it’s good against wonder wing and mac’s smash attacks
if either of them anticipate counter throw they can just down tilt and/or not wonderwing because there's a blind spot on brawler's lower body where the hitbox doesn't activate
Nope, banjo is egg gimping you at 0 and mac is dsmash gimping at 10%
Banjo is super good at edge guarding….. little Mac not so much

While I don’t agree with Mii brawler being top 10, I can see him being top 20. But I admire that ESAM is optimistic about his character! I think that’s a good thing. Cause imo people need to just play the game to learn and not complain about there character or a character that they don’t like.
