Hey brother thanks for the video! I wasn’t sure what was going on with my 03 Corolla S when it wouldn’t turn over… checked the spark plugs and they looked pretty bad so I bought new ones and tried your 30a fuse idea and still got nothing… I knew it couldn’t have been the starter cause it was just replaced only like 30,000 miles ago so I tried the starter relay next and BOOM! She’s working again! Thanks for getting my commuter car back on the highway again, friend. 🤙

@@smmaistheway yeah it’s kinda hard to get to. What I had to do was pull my seat back as far as possible then I laid on my back where the foot pedals are with my feet sticking out of the car and shined a light up into where the relay is to see where Its at then put the light down and try to feel for it by memory of where you saw it and get a good grip on it and try to wiggle it back and worth while pulling up on it one handed. It’s a really uncomfortable position but that’s how I was able to do it and I’m a pretty big guy so the smaller you are the better lol.

My 2005 Corolla is experiencing intermittent starts. I am currently at the Gas station and it will not start, so I pushed it into a parking stall. Thanks to your video, I have discovered a possible failed 30A Fuse, and replaced it with the spare as you instructed. The car is still not starting, so I will wait a while to see if it will start, then, I will proceed to the Local O'Reilly's Auto Parts store to see if they can replace the Starter Relay...I will remind them to disconnect the battery.

If you here the click click click from under the hood it's the starter solenoid which is attached to the starter which is located under the intake manifold. If it's click click clicking that means the starter relay is working just fine.

My 2003 Toyota Matrix stopped cranking halfway through.
I replaced the battery, starter, starter switch... and nothing worked. lights come on and react to me turning the key.
I'm hoping it is this fuse.
I pulled out the fuse and there was gunk on the prongs. Two of the prongs looked to be a bit burnt. It's the original part so, maybe it is time to change it?
I read elsewhere that they use the same fuses for that of a 00's Corolla.

@@noyourawsome2lol979 the possibility is very slim but it could blow the fuse (worse scenario) but as long as someone getting shocked by 12v in a car is 0 to none. It is a good practice to disconnect the battery when performing electrical repairs but the reason is to protect other components from an unwanted load.
