I dropped 150 lbs. I changed my lifestyle altogether. I went from a size 28 over 300 lbs. To a size 8. I love being outside hiking, canoeing, running and yoga. I cut out all processed crap I only eat clean, whole foods. I no longer have high blood pressure, depression, borderline diabetes. I am 45 and this is the best I have ever looked or felt. You can do it Adam, were here. Sending love fam.
I turn 50 in June and have lost 125 or so pounds over the last 3 years. I feel great and wish I hadn’t wasted so much time eating lots of pizza, fries, candy and junk. Congrats on your accomplishment, that is amazing!
👍👍👍
@@leliablackwell5141 thank you so much 💖💖
@@Hat65 thank you!!!!!
@Nipdawg congratulations on the hard work and healthy lifestyle change.
I've been off sugar so long now that sugary bullshit doesn't register in my brain as food. I used to salivate when I'd see something sweet, but now I have the same reaction to seeing sweets as I do to seeing chalk.
That's awesome. I have to say though that I had a funny mental image of you having a chalk addiction and just mowing down on a pack of sidewalk chalk hunched over in a corner. Lol.
Chalk is delicious
It’s channels like these that helped me change my ways of bulimia. A year ago I nearly died via esophageal tear. I fell in love with these fitness channels and it saved my life
I’m so glad to hear that you were able to change your life and are healthier and safe.
I wish the best for you. Keep up the great work.
I am so happy for you!❤
I wish I could say the same😢
I have relapsed again and I'm só angry at myself😭💔
And idk what to do anymore😔
My traunatic past is just hurting so much you know? :( And the abusers are getting away with it while I'm institutionalized and full of scars and am way behind everyone. And I'm already 25 and I am so scared that I am never able to live a normal life with going to a job or school😢
And I've been fighting for so long already! Its not that I've tried. Gosh I am the expert. But it seems so hopeless you know😔 I'm so insecure about everything :(((
Happy to hear you're better! :)
I hope you're still doing well
I used to eat the SAD. Pizza, McDiabetes, Kentucky Fried Cancer, you name it. Eliminated gluten, refined carbs (rice, bread, pasta), oils, all animal products, and pop and all calorie containing drinks. I dont eat anything that is overly processed or artificial either. I'm constantly full, satisfied, and happy with what I eat. People say "you dont know what you're missing". Yes, I do: diabetes, cancer, high blood pressure, obesity...Nope. I dont miss a damn thing.
I had a good laugh at your restaurant names
Adam, the Swole Fam is with you! I used to be nearly 400 lbs, eating all the normal junk food. Cleaning up my diet has been one of the best moves of my life. I, like you, felt ashamed of how out of control it all got. I also felt overwhelmed, like it was impossible for me to lose weight. I am now down to 320 lbs. I still have a long way to go, but I now know it's possible. One step, one day, one meal, one workout at a time. If you fall off, don't feel bad, just get back up and get on again. We got your back, Adam! Welcome to the Swole Fam!
Went from 215 lbs to 175 in 6 months at 6'2, just doing general things that are easy to do over time. Instead of soda, mostly water and if it's soda it's 0 calorie soda, making sure I'm hitting gym the 3 days a week (18 weeks straight currently). Still allow myself to have pizza, burgers whatever sometimes as long as it fits calories and that I'm not constantly overdoing it. Instead of doing chicken/brocoli/rice every meal for a month and quitting, just slowly making changes and it's paid off (down to 15 percent body fat)
How I cut out sugar and processed carbs is cold turkey after getting a diabetes diagnosis. For a month or so it was weird and disorienting, but after that, I had a new routine in place. Go through cabinets/fridge and throw all junk food in the trash. If u don't have it u can't eat it.
I’m fine with all meats and offal. Rice and sweet potatoes for complex carbs, fruit and some green veg daily.
Olive oil, MCT oil salt and pepper, a little chilli sauce, 5 litres of filtered water every day along with a few multi vits.
If I get a takeout I(once a month perhaps) will always get a Tandoori mixed grill with rice. Got to be 70 grams of protein in that delicious lean, oven cooked meat.
I’ve avoided wheat and dairy for over 35 years and drunk 5 litres of water since 1996.
I’m 52 with a 32 waist and a 43 chest. I can bang out 100 brisk push ups and still run 5 miles cross country.
My nutrition helps me feel like I can take on the world with a spring in my step.
I haven’t done an actual elimination diet. I don’t think a giant step would work for me, so I’m doing baby steps. Since joining the fam and becoming more educated on healthy living, I’ve have been cutting down, and eventually cutting out the crap I know is bad for me. With doing that, I can still narrow down how my body reacts to other food, and slowly can still pinpoint what I need to change. It’s obviously a longer process, but it’s working for me and I’m good with that.
Gaint steps often work the best yet people are just too scared to take them
Didnt go to the gym yet, BUT once my coffee is done I’m gonna do 40 min of HIIT then pick up my new TV. 💪🏻
I ditched the refined sugar about 7 months ago and don't miss it at all. Once I got over the dependency natural foods taste better and I have no issue with binges or cravings.
"You'll have to change your friend group"

"cries"
I had baked salmon for lunch today with fresh carrots, cucumbers and celery. Very good and filling.
I’m from the UK. I will never forget my brother telling me after 2 weeks of visiting Miami and trying all the American fast foods chains that we don’t have over here, his 💩 was green. I wish that was a troll comment but the mess in the food made him crap what looked like toxic waste.
im from the uk too, i remember the first time i went to the usa, i couldnt beleive the crap they had! i thought our food was awful! we go to florida often, and we always shop at target or walmart and take our own lunches!!
You do know though that the uk is starting to have very real problems with obesity now.
@@mattyice5290 yes, i am one of them, joined the gym, been lifting weights and trying to get this weight off! I cant do it for others, but i need to do it for myself! years of the uk food getting worse, and me not controling myself, and i have myself to blame only, i can fix myself if i work hard enough! thanks Matty Ice!
I gave up gluten/breads. I feel tons better! No more headaches, inflamed joints and I sleep much better!
I noticed that when I ate junk food a couple days ago, I felt like shit. That's my main motivator of losing fat and gaining muscle!
Agree. Sugar is the worst.
"Our people are destroyed for lack of knowledge."
"You have to be sovereign with your health." YES.
Went carnivore. Now it's basically carnivore with some fruits and veggies that work with my body. Was it easy? No. Would i ever go back to the way i used to live? Fuck No 💪🦍💪🦍💪🦍 #swolefam
What fruits and veggies have you been able to adjust to?
@@ur_other_mother fresh cut pineapple!!! I can also eat bananas and apples but usually dont mess with them much 💪🦍
Veggies im still working on 😂😂 but i do love sliced cucumber!!
@@michelleg.2267 I loooove pineapple! Berries are also awesome because they’re so low sugar for such high volume.
(P.S.: Granny Smith are the best type of apple. Fight me.)
@@ur_other_mother cant fight facts!!
I’ve used the elimination diet. I’ve cut out fast food, all seed oils, sweets and reduced wine consumption. I also fast for 30 to36 hrs twice a week. So far I’m a size 8 from a size 14. Goal is size 4.
Gym is closed where i live but I still get my cardio in and home workouts done everyday!
Puppa Swolio!!! Her Highness!! 👑
wow this video is 2 years old and it still hits hard with the wisdom and logics! so glad we have people like Papa Swole!!
I think this is one of your best video. Well said 👊
Whys is there only 700 likes, this man speaks truth!! We need more swolios around!!!
I'm starting to go out on walks daily and using weights and elastic resistance bands to excercise.
It's not enough, especially with my only pair of weights only being 2kg, but it's a start, it's a godamn start and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Glad you are starting
Any exercise is better than none the more you keep it up the more you’ll lose
Diet is more important
One of my closest friends is in the calories in calories out mindset. He's 10% body fat and looks healthy on the outside. He still shovels garbage down his gullet.
He was just diagnosed with fatty liver disease and he is carrying visceral fat on his organs.
This has been a wake up call for him. Fortunately it doesn't seem to have done too much damage to his liver. Yet.
My main problem is snacking.
But most often I don't buy any snacks ... my working colleagues in the hospital do and then they bring it to work and put it on the dining table.
This is so true and inspiring. Thank you for this!
I have great milestone to share: I went waterfall hiking a few weeks ago for the first time since I started college. I decided to go do a more difficult waterfall hike and I'm proud to say that didn't break a sweat and I was hoofing it. Normally, a two to three hkur hike would have exhausted me a few years and now, it doesn't even bother me. Long and short, thank you, Papa Swolio for kicking me the ass.
I cut out processed foods and sugars. For a snack I do a fruit + a veggie + dairy such as ricotta cheese, blackberries, and cucumber. It's incredible! I get migraines so I have to be careful with what I eat. I can't believe I used to eat candy every day.
Recommendations for alcoholics? How do they cut out alcohol in a healthy manner if they worry about withdrawing?
Hey there, I'm in the same boat, or was, I quit cold Turkey and took Valerian root for the withdrawals, it worked like a charm, good luck!! Dont go back, alcohol is a poison!!
Probably the portion sizes!
The zero quality food.
Great advice....
I agree 100% wit this approach to a healthy life, eat real food, cook more, move and take care of your mind. The 7 pillars are common sense put together. Papa Swolio you are helping people to be healthier, thanks
After I realized that a single order of fries was worth HALF of my entire calorie limit for the day, OVERLOADED my sodium levels for the day, and was over half of my daily fat intake...
I realized how insane it is that we are fed this stuff and we grow up thinking it's "ok". Deep fried food is intolerable now. I have 20-30 lbs to lose. I have given up gluten, dairy, and cut out deep fried food. Sugar is hard for me to wean off of. It's a work in progress.
I lose or maintain weight when traveling by eating burgers.
I get them wrapped with lettuce or just toss the bun in the trash, and skip the fries. If I am at a sit down restaurant I get a side salad with vinaigrette.
If my appetite demands I get two bread-free burgers.
Making a vanilla protein shake with avocado and frozen berries is a great swap for a milk shake.
I save dessert for once in a while, and it has to be homemade or from a bakery- no crappy generic supermarket cake.
Great video! I was able to quit smoking, quit everything except proteins and berries. Working on connection with local buffalo butcher for bones, organ meats, and steaks. My hands don't shake anymore. Never really realized how much my hands shake until it stopped.. Lol.
And a Pizza Hut ad before the video
I changed my diet almost 2 years ago and cut refined sugar out and usually when there is junk food at work I usually just ignore it but yesterday I felt so tired at work and there was junk food again and I had a rice krispy treat that I thought would help me wake up a little and nope nothing happened except guilt that I put that stuff in my body and also that I wasted 90 calories on nothing. But at least that was a learning lesson for me. Anyway long story short I feel better than I ever felt since eating clean and a lot of issues that I had went away.
no i didnt go to the gym, im isolating and i have covid! never felt so ill! i cant wait to get back to my weights!!!
I thought the thumbnail said “THE PROBLEM WITH AMERICAN WOMEN”
I would be here all day typing literally 🤣🤣🤣
Right now I'm starting small. Cutting back on what I eat, lifting weights and cardio, and being less stationary.
Been off sugar for a year and a half whilst doing keto.
Down from 80kg to 60kg. Feel incredible all the time and I don’t understand how I used to live my life being tired all the time and having impaired mental function.
Did it by deeply researching the effects of sugar on the body (courtesy of Dr. Robert Lustig) and solidifying the connection between my choices and the outcome (resetting my locus of control).
I went from eating regular chocolate bars to protein bars. Then decided not to have chocolate or biscuits in the house now if I want i need to walk to the shop if i want chocolate and often dont feel like it. I changed to low calorie popcorn if i want sweet food
What a great video!!
Today is rest day haha worked out twice on Monday, once on Tuesday, wednesday and thursday (and also walked or cycled everyday)
Can you do a what I eat in a day?
Yes excuse LOL. Life happens. I focus on giving my family healthy meals though even when they are quick, at least. No gym for me no working out, I miss it but there's too much on my plate right now so I'm personally waiting to the kids are out of school so I can take them to the playground on days off and play outside with them...Also, lots grilling meats and veggies 😋. What oil do you recommend then for cooking??
Every time I work out no matter what it is I'm in pain for days after the worst migraines Even light cardio is too much for me. I have fibromyalgia and scoliosis I really need some advice. I got really sick five months ago so all the foods that I used to eat I couldnt all the junk made everything worse. So I lost pretty much all the weight went from 220 to now 148. Now that I'm feeling better staying away from all those foods is so hard I want everything and you would think pain would be a good motivator to stay away from it but it's not 😥 I find myself ordering out healthy food yes but still ordering out I need help !!! 😫
Only protein and veggies I feel so much better!
My interstitial cystitis is gone from moving to a plant based whole foods diet. And NO soda. It's amazing. Def do the elimination diet!!! & They told me there's no cure. If you Google it, it'll say there's no cure. Yea. I beg to differ.
Yes, chest day 👊🏻
I do keto/carnivore and haven't felt this good in years. I eat whole foods and heavy in meat. That's my elimination diet. In time, I may add other healthy options. Check out Dr Ken Berry
I'll be in the gym tomorrow
I see your videos every day, you are awesome. I do not eat sugar.
Today our minister will announce if the gyms are allowed to reopen! I have been working out at home but I do really miss the routine of going to the gym regularly.
Hey! I've been kinda really lurking around this channel a lot and more gradually, starting with only watching your videos on the obesity epidemic, but I think I want to really take the plunge and learn more from you about the Swole fitness plan. The problem is that I don't have money. Where can I learn more about what the 7 pillars are for free? I haven't caught yet what they were all called.
EDIT: I just noticed the free ebook in the description, so nevermind about that last part. I'm pumped.
Hopefully you can catch a live podcast!!! Pretty great!

Himura! Awesome name!
Join the fam! We’re great! It’s not just a ‘fitness plan’.
I think I have realized that a lot of the people I am close to eat pretty terribly and it bothers me when they want me to eat unhealthy too. I go to the gym and tend to eat healthy but it just makes me so sad when my friends want me to eat pizza or ice cream. It’s hard to say no to your friends
is it true we need a small amount of sugar in our diets i know most get too much but i have heard we do need some
From what I have been learning lately, from doctors like Dr. Sten Ekberg, and Dr. Ken Berry, and a couple of others, the amount of sugar that can safely be in your total volume of blood at any given time, amounts to the tiny amount of about half a teaspoon, and the body doesn't need to get that from the diet at all. So, for example, if you have 5 pints of total blood circulating through your body, you have about half a teaspoon of sugar in the entire 5 pints. Any more than that is dangerous.
I do a lot by myself. My boyfriend is supportive and eats quality food like I do, thank goodness! I just decide to be by myself, because people don’t want to change. It’s easy to stay the same and go along with the crowd. I’m vegan but I eat veggies, fruits, grains, seeds and nuts not vegan fast foods (occasionally, I wont lie) I don’t tell people I’m vegan because they think I will judge them. I only care about what I put in my mouth.
I l❤️ve #ForgingPillars!!! Take alot to man up, but Adam gets it. 'I'm addicted to 💩, and I'm gonna stop. Gonna join me?' The Elimination Diet is a FANTASTIC way to start! At the very basic level, most of us are so incredibly dehydrated!! Drink more 💦💦, probably aren't really wanting that cupcake. 🦍💪#GTTFG💪🦍
🦄🦄#hornacceptance🦄🦄
The results of my elimination diet makes my life so much simpler!
No more cravings pulling me in different directions, no more inflammation/bloating, knotted up gut, sleep issues, dehydration.
You don't realize how inconvenient eating like shit actually is until you eliminate it all. A month or so later: "Holy shit I'm not tired anymore/actually feel well rested, or son of a bitch look at that these pants are loose".
Ppl are lazy, they don't want to put in the effort or make commitments. But what I don't understand is it takes MORE effort dealing with all the unnecessary side effects eating garbage in the first place.
You're fucking awesome 👌🏽
What’s the opposite of the American diet
First.. don’t have the bad goods in the house 😵😵
👏👏👏👏
Blame Ancil Keys for the diet.
Who the hell is unliking these videos lmfao
woah, seed oils are now bad too?
Seed oils have always been bad. The official nutritional guidelines have been flat out lying for decades. Demonizing the good fats and recommending the bad fats. Completely backward.
addictions are triggered. like u say it is enviro(mental). mental triggers. gg
Who is actually disliking this?
go vegan
Caveman diet??? yeesh. Didn't cavemen only live until 47 years on average? no thanks. What do vegans eat? grasses and leaves.....you are way off buddy
With that name I expect a comment like this lol
Lol he didnt even say to just eat meats or just eat vegetable. You probably didnt hear it with the clown music playing around you 🤡
