  • This car came to our garage with the engine management light on the dashboard, and with V50 pump already replaced by the customer, we scanned the vehicle and it give us P261A00 DTC : (COOLANT PUMP B CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN.) we tried to clear the fault off but no success and the fault code was returning back, so the entire investigation and diagnosing and rectification procedures are recorded and uploaded to our channel to watch, and if your vehicle has the same fault code hopefully that could help you sort out your vehicle problem.

Disconnect N422 (solenoid)located on the bulkhead on the passenger side RH drive vehicle) it is just beneath the water repellent cover beside the wiper arm, and see if if the fuse stays alive because fuse numbers 14 powers up V400 and N422.

Hi, the fuse blows even when both are disconnected. But the fuse only blows when I switch on the heater... @@stanhopeautorepaircentrewardak

So in conclusion, you can try to replace fuse #14(in the engine bay) and if it keeps blowing, you have to replace the pump under the manifold, right?

This fuse powers up V400 Pump and N422 solenoid. It could be any of them, or the circuit may be short to ground before reaching the components.in my case scenario, it was V400 pump.

First, check the fuse if the fuse is alive. If the fuse is blown after replacing it, then follow the steps below:
Disconnect N422 (solenoid)located on the bulkhead on the passenger side RH drive vehicle) it is just beneath the water repellent cover beside the wiper arm, and see if if the fuse stays alive because fuse numbers 14 powers up V400 and N422.
