@@sysadventures9560 I did a pan sear, slight Cajun seasoning with lime. Once I get good at fileting them .... on goes the smoker and cedar planks! It was the best feeling especially through the problems you helped me with!

This year is going to be epic! There will be a lot of salmon running in the sound in the summer. I am using a Gloomis IMX and shimano dc curado. Buzz bombs from the shore are gold.
I'm sorry I gave you the wrong info on that rod and reel. That's a okuma guide select and phlueger presidential reel. I was trying to remember the other brand lure that I use. I just happened to remember rotators are gold also! I have caught many pinks and silvers on them. Good luck with fishing! Tight lines!

Been starting beach fishing this year, I’m usually in the rivers. Been fishing browns point in federal way. Any tips on when they might show up down there? Seems like there’s been a few caught but not many at all and mostly from the boat. Thinking of heading up to area 9 when it opens in a few days
@@duckwacker8720 browns point is a neighborhood, not a city. Lmao. You’re right it’s pierce county but anybody who lives here considers it fed. Too far up to be northeast Tacoma, and it’s not a city. Technically not fed but it doesn’t get any closer. Same as dash point. Lmao no local will tell you dash point is not in federal way, even though it’s in pierce.

Salmon fishing is so fun. I use to fish for kokanee years ago. I'm fishing a buzz bomb with a bead.
I just moved to Olympia from Central Cali and have never fished for salmon. I can't wait to give it a try 😄👍
Give it a try. Every odd year pink salmon run and it make it really easy to catch them.

On the beach right now is going to be hard. I would head up north where it is open and fish the pier. The pier is open to fishing.
