These are the first 16 things I did to set up my new Galaxy Z Flip 4! I added many customizations to make it more functional and aesthetic 💗 Some of the things I did are specific to the Z Flip 4, but many of these customizations can be applied to any Samsung OneUI phone. I also used Good Lock (made by Samsung) for even more features. Hope you learned some good Android/OneUI setup & customization tips from this video!

What about Z flip 3?
I noticed you set your screen timeout to 10 minutes. You can actually keep the screen on while you're looking at it! Settings > Advanced features > Motions and gestures > Keep screen on while viewing. I'm not sure why they choose to hide helpful features like this, and why they are disabled by default, but this one is really handy :)
It's turned off by default because it eats your battery like crazy

@@lukeshumway7274 no, that's not it. Having that option turned on means the sensor ist constantly tracking your eyes to see if you are watching the screen or not. Takes quite some battery during the day
@@TECHNIKMM I get what you're saying, but I honestly haven't noticed a difference in battery drain. I'm sure there is, but it's not much. I wonder if the sensor only turns on a little before the screen timeout timer?
@@kalooniee I hope it's that way actually. A few years ago it wasn't and it drained the battery a lot. Might have changed by now actually. I will try out on my ultra :)
As an ios user this helps me a lot. Gonna switch to android on October. I have placed an order for the flip, instead of the new iphone. 😅 felt like nothing much has change, and then saw flip 4, fell in love. Hope I will really love it.
I changed to android for the same reason 😆 I had an iPhone XR and switched to Galaxy S22+. Honestly, it's been a great experience, I think you'll like it!

Haven’t even had my iPhone 13 Pro for a year and I’m already considering the switch after watching Ella’s vid abt the Flip 4 ugh. I’m deep in the Apple ecosystem but it’s like Apple doesn’t even innovate anymore… that Dynamic Island thing like come on

02:40 if you want less scrolling, you can change the DPI in developer options. This is other option instead of that
What's dpi? How can i change that?

I love my z flip. I think I could use some improvements but that's every phone this is my favorite phone I've had in a while.
Did not know that customizing a smart phone could be fun, thanks for the inspiration, might play around with My Fusions One's costumations settings. Execelent video time went by fast while viewing the video, in other words almost 15 minutes seemed to be only 5 minutes, don't know if that is good or bad in a time test, but it can be both? So, yup once again excelent informative video. See you on the next one! 💫💎

Another addition is enable Gesture Priority below the Home up app, and please disable the ram plus feature (only on One Ui 5, but you can set it to 2gb for now) especially if you're using a 6/8gb ram Samsung phone, it slows down apps and fluidity. Reason: Physical ram is better than Virtual ram.
Customization is one of the greatest things I choose to swim with an android device especially Galaxy devices!

I love these "first thing to do" videos. Always learn something new, lol. Is there a shortcut on OneUi to get back to the top of a page after scrolling down? (like how in ios, you just have to tap at the top.) or do you have to just scroll all the way up manually?

First thing is to get a strong case with hinge protector, I learned this the hard way !
I want this phone so badly and almost ordered until the guy at Best Buy started telling me about how they have had people bringing them back in cause of screen cracking in crease etc… totally busted my bubble because I was wanting to order the complete set in Bora Purple. I still want it but just so scared now of the screen 😢 I think its the most beautiful adorable phone ever though!

Nice video! Unfortunately good lock isn’t available in Greece, where I live, so the customization experience is kinda limited 😅 . However, galaxy smartphones are well built and very capable!😊
