    Some ideas: 1: Oil spray bar in front of the fill hole. Fine vapour will catch fire. 2: Weld some flaps on the driveplate under a slight angle to make a fan for cooling the driveplate assembly. 3: For the escaping vapour at the top a nice spark from a MOT.
    This must be the greatest thing you have ever done.

    Qantas need a few of these on the A380's, the Rolls Royce stuff doesn't cut it any more
    Maybe throw a few handfuls of already cooking hot heat beads to get some sparks flying, or of you can get your hands of some proper charcoal
    If you pit these into a roll around cage in there it should shake them up enough to release a bunch of embers

    for the drive belt what if you weld chain spokes from a bike and use a chain if you wanted to use the drum for a while. the sound of the fire when it starts spinning sounds awesome just like last week when i lit my 44gallon drum with a few litres of different flammable stuff. it took a while but we thought it had already lit. walked up to it then boom : p

    that or use the hole at the front for a pre heat blow torch :D.
    I will be attaching manifolds to the outer drum tho, there is too much vapor dissipating without burning

    but being Aussie I often revert to the Aussie/English way by habit

  • @MrGerbilBrain
    @MrGerbilBrain Před 12 lety

    ooo, maybe you could use an arc as ignition? although, it would need to be a small arc, as te air could just blow it out.
