The judge needs to warn Trump's lawyer that he has lied to him, and if his client violates the court order again, he will be held in contempt along with his client and both can spend time in prison, although not sure if the lawyer will get the same special treatment as his client.

It's a concern alright. I recently watched two lawyers talking about how and why the jury found OJ not guilty. It all came down to diverting the jury away from the facts. It turns out the reason Cohen had to take out a loan for the Stormy pay off, then be reimbursed more covering tax payment, is that Trump stiffed Pecker's National Enquirer.
That meant the aid to campaign was vastly above funding limits, Cohen's tax filing was fraudulent and Trump's book keeping.
It all comes back to Trump welching and being an untrustworthy lying SOAB.
Under cross or even before on stand Cohen can tell a story that'll make sense to the jury, and have it corroborated while Trump cannot even take the stand.
