9th edition to the series! I thought it would be great to bring back the nostalgia of the hilarious lines of Marines in halo 2. IWHBYD (I Would Have Been Your Daddy) skull was used to gather up rare quotes. Sadly I couldn't get all of the lines due to the randomness. I might do other halo games including Halo CE or Anniversary, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo ODST, Halo Reach, and Halo 4

@@kbonh22 Marines are decent with needlers But, they can actually kill ultras with needlers. Reason being is that needlers dish out so much damage and explode on impact and are easy damage multiplers. It only takes a couple more seconds to kill ultras with needlers than minors or majors (the reason this doesn't work on chieftains in Halo 3 is because they have invincibility and war chieftains automatically dive out the way before needlers explode to fix this issue). Needlers are also good against brutes and don't forget marine snipers.

Yeah, Halo 4 and 5 also had some great lines. Some of the best were from Exuburant Witness.
You'd be surprised, play Halo 4 and 5 again and turn on the IWHBYD skull on and listen to some of the NPC's talk
I am not saying 343i doesn't have the lines in their games too, I actually spotted them in Halo 5 just by my recent playthrough (although they were still low in number). IMO Bungie paid much more attention on the AI interaction/personality in the first three Halo entries. TBH the AI behaves a lot better in their games too.

Why is there more character development in this video than the entirety of Halo 5?
Technically, the character development in Halo 5 was focused on the covenant and the Warden.
If that were true, then the Warden would have been an interesting character and the Covenant would have had a role in the Halo 5 campaign (besides being really fun enemies to kill).
+Shayan Jahangiri I was talking about what they say as you kill them, along with the Warden. Haven't you payed attention? They talk, and it's actually funnier coming from them then marines, because the things they say are so unexpected coming from them. As for the Warden, his dialogue alone made him more interesting than Tartarus.
First, Tartarus was a pretty shitty character, so saying the Warden was better doesn't make much of a point. Second, without Tartarus, the Arbiter and the Elites would have never had a reason to leave the covenant, which makes Tartarus a pretty important character.The Warden, however was just a puppet used by Cortana to try to manipulate Chief into joining allies with Cortana. It doesn't work however, so you could totally just forget about the Warden and there wouldn't be any change to the story. I do have to say that fighting him (8 times) was pretty enjoyable. And yes, I have payed attention, but the Covenant just feel like they are kind of just... There. Jul M'dama (I think I spelled that right) was the only reason why the Covenant were still relevant. Then they killed him (stupidly), which caused the Covenant to lose the battle of Sanghelios (again, I'm not sure if that's the right spelling) and ultimately become useless to the story. None of what the rest of the Covenant said during any cut scene or game play caused me to laugh or feel like they progressed in a character development type of way. They feel like bland enemies, who mindlessly try to kill you because... Well, it's a video game. This bothers me in particular because they are supposed to be there very interesting enemies who are not only fun to fight, but have meaning and purpose to what their intentions are. In Halo's 1-3 you knew that the Covenant were trying to light the Halos to go on the "Great Journey". We knew their intentions and why they had those intentions. In Halo 5, it feels like they're just in the game for the sake of game play. The Promethean's have the same problem as well. They made sense in Halo 4 because they were a form of defense AI. They were trying to stop the Covenant and Humans from releasing the Didact from the Cryptum. In Halo 5 there is no explanation as to why they are just everywhere and mindlessly killing people. Sure you could say it was Cortana controlling them, but there is no explanation. It's just kind of thrown at us lie how the Covenant were thrown at us in Halo 4.
Sorry for the rant. I just had to get that off my chest. I don't know anybody who is interested in Halo, so I end up ranting on the internet. Plus Halo is life for me, so don't think I hate it. I am just frustrated that my childhood has been ruined by 343i over and over and time and time again. I can't forgive them for what they did in Halo 5, but I am remaining as optimistic as possible for Halo 6 even though I know it will fail...

+Shayan Jahangiri actually, the Warden Eternal was doing all he could to kill the Chief, which went against everything Cortana planned. Warden saw Chief as a the only thing holding Cortana back and acted on his own to kill him. Ironically, his constant attempts are what delayed Cortana from leaving with Blue Team. As for Tartarus, whether it was him or another of the many chieftains among the brutes, they all would have had the same impact. He just followed Truth's orders. "Fool, they ordered me to do it."

Halo 2 was my childhood.
I miss the times where the marines were useful and could kick some ass.
And now I got it, if you want to play. ^-^
Flawless "Danger" Desire It gets better. Even Master chief dies at the hands of an energy sword. He usually doesn't even kill the wielder afterwards. Therefore that shotgun marine is tougher and more badass than master chief.

I love games that have those little details that bring it to life. Seriously, hearing A.I. shit-talk or engage in a brief conversation just adds to their character and you kind of grow attatched to them. I'll never forget this one time where Sargent Johnson was mocking a grunt corpse by shooting at it with his sniper and a marine accidentally ran into his line of fire and got shot. The Marine somehow survived and shouted "Why'd you do that?!" To which Johnson replies, "Oh, I'm sorry. YOUR NAME IS?!" angerly. Then shot the marine (or rather the dead grunt behind him) again which fucking killed him! Another marine in the group shouted, "What is wrong with you?!" And Johnson said, "He should've ducked!"
I just sat in front of my TV for 5 solid minutes with my jaw unhinged like a snake. I never knew what great lengths this game could go. That was such a random thing that I could not believe had happened. Halo is the best fps hands down. Nothing after a decade has yet convinced me otherwise.

Halo marines are the best because they actually get banter in their games with the enemy, the player, and each other. Plus with the IWBYD skull they get even better, also I don't really play any Halo without turning that skull on. Also we need a Halo where you play as a marine.

This was ahead of it's time. 2004. I don't know of any other game that did this at the time, along with some of the other things Halo 2 did. What other games gave you the option to play the game with extra comedic lines from both your allies, and your enemies? Unheard of back then, but insanely awesome.
