Season 1 Episode 1 - "Hot Snow" - Dr David Keel's fiancée and surgery receptionist Peggy (Catherine Woodville - future wife (1965) of Patrick MacNee) is murdered by a ruthless gang of drug dealers. The villains are hunted down and dispatched by Dr Keel working in partnership with John Steed. Peggy's death is thus avenged and The Avengers are born.
