Possisbly my most favorite scene from any film ever. The tension on screen reflected the real life tension off screen between Caine and Hendry. I'm sure they only did one take for this scene, Caine even slightly fluffs a line but that just makes it more realistic

Ian Hendry was brilliant in this movie,brilliant. A really great actor. Just brilliant. So much charisma in this role.Just excellent. Frankly,perfect.

Watching Ian Hendry lighting up with Michael Caine made me want to smoke. I’ll have to make do with a vape indoors for now.

Ahh I knew I recognised your name, when I saw Ian Hendry. You were in The Sweeney. A programme I watched as a kid and I pestered my parents to stay up to watch, which I'm glad I did now. I loved it then and still love it and the violence in it never turned me in to a bad person like they seem to think happens these days.

In that suit with that black trench coat, Caine was possibly the coolest man on the planet at that time.

I don't know why but I cackle every time he says "respectable". It's as if he's mocking the upperclass with their Queen's English accent. 😆

I was always a fan of Ian ,so sad to watch him go down hill, he should have been one of the greats RIP .

Also only the third Saint episode to filmed abroad. Malta pretending to be Sicily, presumably the real Italian Mafia would not have been happy if filmed in the Sicilian region. From 1962 to 1969 The Saint two other places abroad were Netherlands, and Rome Italy. This series is always being shown somewhere in the world on cable, or satellite. Simon Templar still the coolest guy around.

Poor man is panicked. Love Ian Hendry. But he was not enjoying this at all!

One of the most criminally underrated films of all time, an absolute classic and Connery’s greatest performance. In fact all of the cast give great performances and the black and white cinematography enhances the whole experience. An incredibly powerful film from start to finish.
