Nice. An extra couple of days spent painting and protecting the wood makes a world of difference to the look of a shop. Patience is a virtue.
Hands down the best cordless option
I’ve had this same WEN sander for about a year and half and it works very well for me. I’ve been thinking about dropping it in my sanding bench to make the top flush with the bench top. I like the way you did yours. Thanks for the video. Nicely done.
Nice set up! I bought this same Wen spindle sander eight months ago and really LOVE it!
I have a WEN jig saw handed down to me by my Great-grandfather. Works like a top. Quiet, smooth. Great customer service as well.
This is awesome!! I’m getting that sander today and I wanted to have a bigger table on it. Thanks so much for showing how it comes apart like that.
great idea.Looks perfect and no dust
love the fact that you are not a tool snob. Thank you for giving me the confidence to buy a Wen.
I continue to be impressed with how you take simple ideas but execute on them so wonderfully. Kudos buddy.
Super cool idea. I have to do this if I ever get dedicated space. Thanks for showing us the way!
Great to see a vid on a cheap tool that’s worth buying ...and making it better.
You are an inspiration outstanding job equipping your shop with affordable tools. Already ordered and received the track saw you demoed. This might be the second item I order always wanted a drum sander.
Great idea and great video. You definitely have a good way of narrating, you make folks feel like they have known you for ever. Keep up the great work.
I also like the WEN 18G brad nailer.. Had it for about 5 years with 0 problems so far. (knock on vinyl)
Nice being able to have fixed locations for these sorts of tools. Nice job. 👊🏼
This is a great idea to place a spindle sander inside a workbench. I like the clean look Izzy!
I have the same Wen spindle sander. It has worked very well for me so far.
I have the wen spindle sander and am very happy with it.
Awesome idea. Thanks for sharing. My shop is always changing for productivity and this one just may help....
Definitely a good looking one holer with optional oscillating wipe system. A bit raspy, but will clean like a white tornado!
HAHAHAHAHAAH
That's smart! Turned out really good
Love this idea, never thought I needed to do this, but now I have to.
Izzy--- you do wonderful work! Looks great!
Great idea Izzy. Thanks for sharing.
BRILLIANT! I've been looking at something like this, but your version is much simpler.
Sweet thank you for Watching
I have had one for 3 years and love it
Greetings from Poland super video as always very educational.
Great video and process. Thank you for sharing your Genius.
I did a similar build for this same sander, but I just built the counter top lower so I could set the sander directly on it without disassembling it and still have the work surface of the sander even with my workbench. The plastic base has holes to secure it to the countertop and I don't lose all of the built in storage or mess with rewiring.
Awesome idea.
Thank you. Very interesting to fix it on top level.
Great idea. Nice setup.
Great look Maestro! And good review!
Ordered my Wen 6510 yesterday and then ran across this. Great idea but I like mobility with my tools; making anything "permanent" is not in my mindset. Also, your setup is great as long as your parts are small; mine tend to be too long to be that close to the wall and the adjacent cabinet. But putting your idea on wheels might be just the thing for me. Thanks!
Great job. Congrats.
Thanks Izzy good idea
Nice sander. I do have one of them and are durable. Great idea of having it in a cabinet.
Man thanks Izzy for your review of this machine. I have been considering getting this exact spindle sander

I have the Clarke version of this. Identical other than the plastic mouldings. Seems to be a good, reliable spindle sander.
Never would hav ethought of building it in like that tho... nice one!!
Thanks for sharing. Your opinion goes a long way with me! 👊🏻
One word Izzy, Nice!
Been looking for one. Awesome video
Great idea 👍 I’m looking at the same model
Hmm looks like it could fit in my router table. Very interesting idea...
Great idea. Gonna do this!
Great job. I wish I had half your imagination and talent to do the things you do with wood.
Nice job!!
Great Izzy.......not unlike all your videos,,,,,,thanks for sharing.
Thank you Buddy
Awesome video as always
Nice. And it was cheap. I like it.
Awesome Izzy!
Great project, Izzy!
The shop is coming along nicely Izzy!
Thank you Jim
Nice job Izzy! 👍🏻👊🏻
Nicely done tnx!!!
Dude, nice job
Thats a good idea going to do this in my shop thanks.
Really love this. Would really appreciate a video where you show some more detail around how to set up the switch.
Great idea....Thx

The wen looks my HF. Great idea
Toilet seat was my impression as well, great minds think alike....lol. Great vid.! A job well done. Thanks.
Great idea, I wish I had the space you do!
Shop furniture... for the win! I like it. A lot!
cool thanks man
@@izzyswan you keep coming up with the best stuff, pertty soon I'm going to need a bigger shop! LOL, JK. I do crafts with a scrollsaw and a mini lathe 8X12". Specialize in ornaments, shop is only 12'X16', although I definatly want to make the ring making tool from your video, that I can add to my little business. Izzy, your a MASTER. you come up with the best stuff, love it.....thanks man....
Awesome!
Pretty nice work, man! 😊
Looks good built in iii
Genius!
Good idea and fittings video
I use the WEN 6523 Oscillating Belt & Spindle Sander and I love it (2 in 1 and saves space) - dust collection is good at best through the port but my 20x20 box fan hangs right above it so the dust that escapes, and it will, is taken in by the box fan filters
Nice setup
Love it. I'm all about "per tool dust collection". I got rid of my dust collector years ago.
It would be nice if the vertical oscillation was adjustable. As simple at that oscillation mechanism is, that might not be that difficult to pull off.
Cool Idea...
Nice. I’ve been looking at that product myself.
I have never hit the subscribe button so fast in my life!
Perfect perfect perfect perfect
Exactly the same model as the one we have in the UK, except it is branded Vonhouse! Nice job btw.
Very nice video!
That's an awesome mod
So many small stationary power tools appear to be made in the same factory. Only minor changes from brand to brand. Kind of like MTD making multiple brands of mowers under different names.
Add a Thien Baffle at the vacuum so the filter won't clog and then a bigger easy to remove bin when you put your doors on there. It will also make for a lower noise operation. I really like the Thien Baffle I put on my shop vacuum (mine is between the vac bottom and the motor-lid).
Now you tell me after I buy a Jet. Great idea ti put in cabinet top.
I've got alot of wen tools it's good stuff
Whoa - clicked the link just you provided and see it's now - $285 on Amazon! That's a heck of a jump from $104 you mentioned two years ago. Still may consider though.
Appears to be the exact same model as my Harbor Freight. Thing has lasted many years!
They are cheap so they are from a contract builder. You just tell them the name, color, and mass build quantity you want. Quite common in these low end power tools.
I've had my harbor freight spindle and disc sander for about 4 years without any problems.
They are a simple machine that do not go through the wars so they are going to last. I used to have a black and decker drill that lasted nearly 20 years before the motor went on it.
Great, simple conversion. Brand name is VonHaus if looking on Amazon in the UK.
👍👍👍👍 good idea
Anyway,nice job!
nice.
good content👍 thank you😊
you are doing amazing sweetie ❤️❤️❤️
Please keep these coming, I would like a $20,000+ shop but can't afford it.
Hard to believe that this is cheaper than the Harbor Freight sander. Great video and build.
Very smart, Izzy. You might be on to something with a toilet seat build though. I can see that becoming the next big thing among the Makers on YT! Do it!
very nice job i think i would have raised it alittle more so it would match the cabinet height so if you have longer items they would sit right but eather way nice job and nice price
Love it. As I do all your builds. I'm wondering if you are going to use a dust collector on the shop vac for this? Cut down on filter replacements? Increase dust capacity? Just curios because I want to see how you would build it. Thanks!
This is a great build. I have one of these and the case was broken right out of the box. Got it replaced by Wen but the second one didn't last long either. The tool itself is more than adequate but the case is definitely problematic. It's a shame because there are nice slots for holding all of the different sized inserts and spindles but it's just too frail to survive even occasional handling.
These are a must have if you are a bandsaw work type. All angles and squaring up bands saw cuts, template and glue form making. The problem is it is a foot print hog for a one trick pony. Need to see some DIY solutions to this. Drop in units, flip top mounted tool maybe. Differential drive to allow motor to be laid sideways for shallow mount of motor.
Liked and subbed!
NICE IDEA 💡
thank you
