They get the job done and for the price i don`t think you`ll find a better product in it`s price range. So i hope others find Wen to be there go to woodworking tools. Was it my imagination, or did your square make it look like the spindle wasn’t 90 degrees to the table? Clearly the sanding work showed it to be square.

They are not super high end tools but in a head to head test with my father in laws Bosch drill press the WEN out performed it hands down! I use it on steel, wood and aluminium. With good drill bits (good, not great) it cuts thru like butter.

I have a Wen spindle sander that can swap the spindle shaft out to add a belt sander. It is easy to swap and does a good job. Reasonably priced and works well. I have mine mounted on a flip top cart. The only downside to this is that the spindles and rings fall off when it is inverted. I have a drawer on the cart for part storage and for sandpaper sleeves and belts.
It is 2 years old and does the job, I would purchase it again.

I have a WEN belt sander and that thing is a beast! Really gives you an arm workout. My only complaint is sometimes the belt will wander. After investigation into the problem it was debris on the roller that made it wander. Cleaned it off and made sure to be aware of the issue. Very impressed with this brand for those of us just starting out who cannot afford top notch stuff. Thanks for the review. I believe I will be adding this to my wish list.

I got their 6.5” track saw for a bday gift. The mode selector was broken. Couldn’t tell at first. Made some cuts, put it away for a couple months. Came back and saw a tiny spring poking out.
Very low expectations calling customer service. Had a human in 2 minutes, a return label in 5 minutes, and a replacement saw in two days. He apologized profusely and said if anything like this happens for up to two years, you should expect this same service. For a $95 saw, I’m floored.
Not to mention it cuts like a dream with their thin nerf Teflon blades. Got the 56 and 24 tooth blades for $36 total. I’m not a pro by any means so honestly user error is much more a factor than machine precision. It’s outrageous they have such a higher build quality than harbor freight and Ryobi, and throttle both with customer service.

I have a Wen Drill Press. When I received it I grabbed the front of the unit to pull it out and somehow broke a tab on the power switch. A couple of weeks after decided to call and buy a new cover.
I called the manufacturer and got to the right person, in almost no time, I asked if I could buy one. He said that I could not buy one but he would be happy to ship one free of charge.
Im certain the part wasn’t very expensive. But just the way that they handle this situation moves them to the top of my buy list immediately.

I don't have any Wen tools but there's a "supposed" new in the box Wen oscillating spindle sander just like yours in our town on Marketplace for $65. That's a great deal 👍
I'm curious why they don't recommend using any paint thinner or mineral spirits to remove the coating on the top 🤔
Doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to me unless they're trying to keep something strong from running down and removing paint from the side or getting on the plastic base and damaging it. It has me scratching my head.

Whether you could, or couldn't . . you are not supposed to cut right at your line when using a bandsaw. So sanding or filing is expected when getting a part to the correct dimension.

I know this is a weird question, but is there anyway to have it not go up and down and just spin instead? This tool would be perfect for my hat making but only if I could have it not go up and down. If that is not possible is there a similar type of tool that would just spin upright like this tool but not go up and down? Thanks in advance for your help.

Would be nice if I felt like it was a quality tool but if you look at them online there are several different companies selling the same exact machine but each has a different color based on the brand and I own one sold by harbor freight tools and I've had for about two or three years but have hardly used it and as of a week ago I'm seeing blue sparks flying out of it and smells like the wire insulation is melting so I stopped using it and it still looks brand new. I checked several reviews on all of the sanders that have the same look as wen, triton, grizzly, harbor freight, and I think fox and they all have the 3.5 amp moter and almost all of the bad reviews are for the motor burning up and in some cases it burned up the same day or week that it was bought. I'm thankful that many years ago I built a spindle sander and I had to pull it out of storage and trust me when I say it has many, many hours on it and still runs like a champ it just doesn't oscillate and its made from and old moter I bought at a garage sale. I want to buy another one but am having cold feet over this style of machine and varies substantially in price and I'm willing to bet that they are all made in the same place in China but the simplicity of the machine makes it fairly easy to fix if I could find a place that sells a replacement motor. Do you have any suggestions?🤔
I can't see any information on the motor itself giving any specs as to where I might track one down
