I have seen dedicated slide tables on band saws in the manufacturing world and have wondered why they haven't made they way to the garage woodworkers shop. Honestly this might be the best upgrade to a band saw i have ever done. there will be more upgrades and how to videos to come with bandsaw slide table

Put this at the top of the list of 'Things I never knew I needed but now I must have'. This is amazing.
Did you ever build the final version?
Please, please, please do a follow up build on this!! We all want it!!
Something I've had in mind for a while is a slide with a pivot so that you can cut perfect circles and arcs for tabletops on the bandsaw. Entry cut would be tangent to the arc you want, so you push the work into the blade, until the slide hits a stop, and then you pivot the work. I'm thinking the pivot should incorporate a vacuum hold-down (could just be a 2" branch from your dust collection system) so that you don't need a screw or pin driven into the work.
A variant on this would allow you to quickly saw rough stock into cylinders (or cones) for lathe work rather than having to start with a dangerously off-balance piece of material that will beat your hands up as you round it with a gouge.
This is awesome. Top of my list. A jig for sawing firewood into usable boards is what I need it for and many other uses.
Absolutely brilliant. Thank you for being you Izzy.
Great project. Thanks for what you do and for sharing it with us.
This is exactly why I tune in to you Izzy. This is in insanely obvious upgrade that I now need to put into my shop. Great stuff
Amazing add on! This makes the Bandsaw so much more versatile.
Thanks Izzy for the awesome content and/or ideas you continue to give us. I’m always inspired by what you do and look forward to watching your videos. This upgrade is something I’ve wanted forever. Keep up the great work you do. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Pure genius. As always and again and again... added to the list to build..
Awesome adaptation! Makes so many more things possible. Can't wait to see upgrades, this stage is great.
I agree this is one of your best upgrade. I await for all the added figures to come . Thank for your sharing.
Very cool. I look forward to upgrades and a final version!
Dude!!! Watching you cut with that bandsaw.. pure art

Sliding bandsaw table = mind blown 🤯. This is awesome.
I'm glad there are creative folks like you to think of these kinds of things. Thanks for sharing.
Always with fantastically ingenious ideas. Congratulations!
Great upgrade, Izzy. I'm in the middle of a bandsaw upgrade myself, so this will come in really handy. Thank you.
That upgrade is off the chain amazing !!
Thank you Izzy, I think that is exciting too. I’ve gained some great ideas and this one might change my shop plans, you’ve opened my eyes!
Great build Izzy. Really cool idea, haven’t ever seen or even heard of something like that before.

Que excelente ideia! Também quero! Obrigado Izzy Swan, adoro os teus vídeos.
Excellent excellent so many things come into perspective great job Issy
Very cool. I’m looking forward to seeing this one develop. I didn’t know slide tables were even a thing for bandsaws, and this looks immensely useful for my tiny workshop. Good job Izzy!
Unreal, so versatile, brilliant.
Nice addition.
Thanks for the video.
This is brilliant!
It's reasonably straightforward to make and use, and offers so many possibilities.
Thankyou. :)
Its always fun to see how you take a tool and make it do more. It seems like this just makes many of those operations not only easier but safer. I’m calling it the Izzy factor!! Sweet.
One of my favs from your collection
Actually this is perhaps the most exciting video I’ve seen from you. I can visualize having something like this in my shop and some of the things it could do. The idea is outstanding.
That is a fantastic toil up grade. I looked for something like that years ago. The only ones I found was for industry aplications. Thanks can't wait for build list a plane of kit. Keep up the good work.
Just Great, Now I have another TO DO Project for my shop ideas. Honestly Thank You for sharing,
Have to agree this is one of the best upgrades ever. (and I have seen so many upgrades ..and I do make so much use of my bandsaw already)
That's AWESOME! Thanks for sharing.
Outstanding, I made a circle cutting jig for my bandsaw and cant wait until you get full plans available for this, brilliant!
gets me excited by using the bandsaw more, awesome!
Fantastic Ideas Izzy! Can't wait for the follow-up to this...
What a cool idea! Well done Sir Izzy!
Sure am looking forward to seeing more uses and ideas on the sliding table. You hit on a good one for sure. Thank you
Brilliant idea! It s an awesome upgrade, not that complex to be build and it works fantastic! Great job as expected Izzy!👍👍👍
Fantastic video!
You can get lost in the possibilities. Just what you showed blows your mind. I'm saying this is one of your best videos, ever.
Wow! And what a deal on Dollar shave!!!
Well done Izzy, you're setting Diy trends !
Well that is super badass! My much smaller bandsaw wouldn't be quite as amazing with such a setup, but I can still see huge benefits.
Brilliant idea! It s an awesome upgrade, not that complex to be build and it works fantastic! Great job
I've never seen one before but they make perfect sense as a feature for a bandsaw. Glad I watched this, great idea
Awesome Idea Izzy, by adding a sliding table to the bandsaw brings endless ideas to mind. Especially when resawing logs into lumber.
That is a great idea! It is a great idea now that it has been seen on youtube a lot of people will be doing this as an upgrade. PERFECT!!
Amazing idea, it’s so much easier to use the bandsaw with your extension. Thank you for sharing your amazing story. God bless you and your family
Beautiful job, Izzy! Really fantastic! 😃
Brilliant as usual Izzy, and good to see you back on your feet.
loved it. you are the most ingenious guy on the Web. awesome
Brilliantly conceived and executed.
Absolutely brilliant - a video series in itself starting with how to build a sliding table for bandsaws that don't have them available as an accessory. Your design thinking is amazing, I can almost hear the cogs grinding. BB
Wow that is amazing! Thanks for sharing!
Very cool upgrade. I'll be waiting for the future videos on this.
This is a must have now, need to find a slide table in the EU to stick on my bandsaw asap! Great project and upgrade!
It is a lot of fun to see you get excited about something like this. I was about to comment that I don't have room in my one car garage to add a lot of bulk to my bandsaw and then you said I could get rid of my cheap, lousy floor hogging jointer (brand will go unnamed). Hmmm.... have to rethink the idea. Darn you! Somehow I know that means more money invested in my shop - somebody help me with my addiction to wanting to have everything Izzy has!
if you have a router table, make a spit fence for it and you will still be able to joint!
Very cool ideas... great to see some love for the humble bandsaw! Would love too see more on this.
Boy O Boy, THAT is something I am going to make for my Band Saw.
Thanks a LOT Izzy!
Izzy - Brilliant video - looking forward to more jigs and bits with your new band saw set up.
That is insanely cool! Why don't more band saws come with sliding tables?! Now I need one!
Yeah they're really handy for a lot of applications
I was just thinking this and after finding the video figured “Izzy Swan would be the man to do it”. Thank you!!
Yes we’re waiting
More Izzy genius at work. You continue to surprise me. I think that is an ultra cool item.
This might be the best use of my worthless SawStop sliding table that I've ever seen. Good job Issy.
hahaaha
This is extraordinarily cool, and may very well get priority and become my next project. Awesome, thanks for sharing.
Izzy is super. Cool upgrade.
Dude I loved it . Endless possibilities !
Crazy cool. IZZY is the woodworking mad scientist
Thanks Izzy, your innovations, especially this one, are the reason I love to watch your channel. Why would you think this isn’t one of your more exciting videos? THIS IS AWESOME! Thank you for all you do!
Thinking on the fly and building, awesome job Izzy! Not at all boring and never think that!
Never even heard of (let alone having seen) a sliding table on a bandsaw.
Fantastic idea. Great execution. Well done.
Yet another amazing tool. Way to go dude.
Thanks
You do a great job! educational videos, your ideas are practical, easy to follow! Thanks
Beautiful work Izzy. You're wrong when you say its not the most exciting video. The concept makes it the most exciting video.
AWESOME upgrade Izzy!!! I want one!!
My favorite tool in the shop ....bring those ideas online can’t wait
I swear you've got one of the best channels! Another awesome build!!
Izzy you’re probably one of the best woodworkers I’ve ever seen your awesome
Great idea. Thank you.
WOW - that is awesome! HOWEVER - I would love to see you do this with some sort of "commodity" slide system rather than something that starts with a $1200.00 slide unit. A couple hundred bucks at most - us hobbyists can't drop much more than that......
I got a 100 dollar MLT 100 slide table from ebay. I attached it to my Makita bandsaw using t-profile and a small wood packing piece. Works great.
Well done.
I just saw this highly needed video for my application... Thank you for the ray of light you just showed to me. I think it is a wonderful idea. Thank you again. Have a great week ahead.
Upgrade of the century. 👌
Genius idea, and stellar design, mate. 👍
Thank you so much bill I am really enjoying this I see this being very handy addition to the
Wow, this is my next upgrade. No question! I have the Rikon 10-351, great saw. Crazy how this is never talked about in the woodworking community, yet such a valuable upgrade!?! THANK YOU!!! Best, @HoneyOnWales
I can see a big improvement,, love it
Bonjour Izzy,
Encore une idée géniale et une belle démonstration !
Merci pour tous ces partages où l'on apprend beaucoup ...
Patrick de France
I have a basically unused bandsaw so I have copied the screen for each step in your video saved in Word and now will plan thank you
Love the idea of not needing a jointer. Thanks for sharing.
amazing work good job
Great, looking forward to your advanced build on the slide table. I made a simple slide table on my bandsaw that is basically a sheet of plywood with a miter bar for the slot
Izzy, you’re a genius, an absolute genius! Only one can describe it: BRILLIANT! Can’t wait for the next Izzyisum!!
