I donât even have a ferret, but I still watch these videos. đ€Šđ»ââïž lol

Me too, I have been asking my parents for like a whole year now an still nothing. But maybe one day I will have the luck to get a ferret. I'm going to try to watch all her vids to get some information about ferrets before I get one
I have two deaf ferrets, and because they can't hear you scream they never learned bite inhibition. Nothing I did worked on them, but eventually they learned that the only reason they have TO bite me is to get my attention. Other than that, all my ferrets are wonderful to people ^.^
I love ferrets
probably pretend to act it hurts whenever by like moving how if you got bit by a pet and it was hard
Have you tried bitter apple spray? If they come to associate biting humans with an unpleasant taste they typically don't do it anymore.
I have had 3 deaf ferrets (it is a genetic problem with certain colors, Panda and Badger colors seem to be the biggest problem, not all ferrets those colors will be deaf, but those are the colors). Since they canât hear the squeal when they get too ruff, I scruff (like a mama cat) and put them in their cage for a min or two only, itâs training not punishment, donât walk away cos their attention span is very short, even shorter than mine đ€Łđ€Ł) then taking them back out and trying again. My last ferret took about two weeks to nip train. You have to be consistent and do this every time they nip too hard. đ
reason 11: They like to bite my toes because well, they are assholes. Just kidding đ€Ł I think they usually bite my toes when they want to play with me and are seeking for my attention :)
aww
mine definitely bite my toes because they don't realise it hurts. lol. they probably don't realise the feet are a part of my body...
interestingly enough my ferret will only nip at my toes if i have socks on.
he does not bother when i do not have socks on.
Me casually sleeping my ferret under my blanket snifes my leg me haha I'm in danger bites lol he's gentle now but lol
or it has a foot fetish
i had a ferret for 7 years, i was young when we got him and throughout the years he became less social as we didn't take care of him properly and every time we handled him in his last years, we would bite non stop and would draw blood every time. when we get our new ferrets, i will train them and give them a life that my baby was never able to have
Great video. When my babies used to bite, I had a small 10cc spray bottle filled with cold water. They soon learned that biting leads to a water spray, and the bad behaviour stops. Pick them up and cuddle them every day. They are intelligent animals and respond to treats. I hand feed mine. They take the food but never bite my fingers. Best wishes.
Due to some pretty unique circumstances, my mom and I ended up with 5 ferrets our cousins couldn't keep while raising their very young kids (we got the 3 young girls first, the two older boys later). This channel helped a lot with the sudden fur baby adoption. All but one was gentle, our vicious young girl named Lani. Her bite problem was the worst, and for a while I had to keep mom from giving her away. Something about her aggressiveness didn't sit right, and I remembered that my cousins mentioning her possibly being deaf. I noticed she always seemed more hyper than actually aggressive; she is a very loud dooker. It's because of this channel I got the idea she was simply never properly taught not to bite; she couldn't hear whenever she made her playmates squeal from pain or when we tried to use training for a ferret that could hear. Knowing she wasn't really trying to hurt anyone and just wanted to play all the time, the chasing she would do felt less threatening for my brother and everyone else's feet! We had to use a glove for a while, but she got the idea we didn't like her biting because we would only play with a glove. Such a smart little one. For a while she even refused to bite at all, not wanting the hesitant glove treatment, which we wouldn't do again. But now she feels confident enough to nibble and gently mouth at anyone's hands or even toes for attention and is still as hyper as before. Thanks for the help!
I just brought my ferret home as a birthday/anniversary gift for my wife and I knew there would be alot of care going into it. Your videos are extremely informative and I can't wait to apply everything when I get home from today moving forward
I agree I recently brought ours. My daughter asked me too. I began researching to see how to properly take care of him. Thier diet and everything.. I tersering. I. Glad o looked up how to take care of him instead of assuming. I would have assumed he could eart fruit so I. Thankful I also found out things that are sad about where alot of them come from.
Omg I would divorce you, what a horrible gift. Once you were gone- ear muffs would be made lolololol

Finally something I can work with my second ferret bites so hard it draws blood. Everyone says it's normal but it hurts so bad I was considering giving up. Thank you!
I dont even have a ferret yet, but I'm trying to find out everything about them before I get one. Thank you for this channel đ
I love how much you are stressing a ferret needs the same time a dog does
Thank you, often get "told" ferrets are bitey , try to explain that training helps ,but having a goto is really helpful
Glad I could help!

This is helpful for a first time ferret owner
Perseverance is the key! My dad has a very big ferret names Ronny. He's the cuddliest little ferret I've ever seen and he used to constantly bite. just tapping them lightly on the nose is enough to make them realise biting is bad.
I read youâre not supposed to tap theyâre noses
Hi! And thank you for the videos!!! Quick question: wanted to know where I can get a tunnel structure like the one you have on your wall.
Thank you, 2 of my girls bite wrists. I have had them since they were little. Nibbles has always been a biter but Reki got that behavior from Noodle being dominant. I will watch out for enviromental stressors and work on bite inhabition.
I love your videos so much, and I'm probably late on the subject but I'm so sorry about newt but I'm sure he's safe in heaven.
Great video, but I have to ask, where do I get those hard tubes you have behind you?
Hi, I would just like to say thank you for the awesome content and also I am glad to see you healing after newts death.

side note, I always thought newt was named after newt Scamander from Harry Potter, your reason is so much better !

Good to know
So about the bite inhibition and a bite training boot camp.
You said you'd link the protocol down below but I can't find it and this is what I'm struggling with right now.
Where is the link for bite training that you said you were going to post?
I need to know how to get that tube wall behind you seriously my ferrets would love it
This came at such a good time. Our 8 month old baby is still biting really hard at playtime. I love playing with her but sometimes she latches on really hard and I have to distract her with a toy!
This can be very frustrating, especially with their extra sharp teeth as younglings. I'll be making a bite-training protocol soon to followup on this biting series â„
Iâm getting a ferret in a couple of months and this rlly helped bc those harsh biting videos are terrifying bc I donât want that to happened to me đ„
No I clicked because I dont have w ferret but I love your channel and your personality đ
Brilliant video - as per usual! đ
When we got our rescue ferret Bert, he was malnourished and mistreated - we had to work really hard to build up his trust. It took a lot of malt paste, salmon oil and patience! He also wasnât neutered and this not only made him bite hard, but also overproduce sebum. Thankfully our lovely Vet (weâre in the UK!) recommended the Suprelorin/Deslorelin hormone implant and this really helped with his behaviour - heâs so much happier and carefree.
We also had the hormone implant for our female ferret Sunny, as it drastically reduces the risks caused by spaying.
I highly recommend speaking with a small animal vet and even getting a few second opinions to work out whatâs best for your little one!
Bertâs turning six this year and heâs grown into such an incredible fuzz ball - they give so much amazing energy back, so make sure you put a lot in for them! đ
What's being in the UK got to do with it?
@@conlon4332 I wasnât sure if the implant that our ferrets have has a different name overseas, so I thought Iâd clarify âșïž
@@Gvbmoriarty Ok.
Thank you so much my ferret likes to follow me around the house and sometimes like to bite my feet and IT HURTS! But he is only three months old and I just got him a week ago

Where did you get those big tunnels on your wall? Id love to buy some please. Thank you
Thank u so much . my new boy sushie is a lil rough and i didn't like doing what the pet store said how to correct
Can you make a video about what to feed your ferret
I don't have a ferret YET but this is still very helpful when I get one
Thank you so much, I just got a baby ferret and she was the only ferret that never sold and the reason why is because she's a bitter but with your advice I'm going to work with her.. thank again
Where is the link to the biting boot camp thing???
Can do u do a video on the wall ! With the tube
I love your videos! Im a huge ferret fan and had a business of 9. Unfortunately we are down to 5 and ever since weâve been down to 5 our little love bug Wally has changed. He tends to lock onto a few of the other guys, and not let go. The ones being bit just lay there and cry. I have to carefully open his jaw to make him let go as if I donât it results in large cuts and scabs on the victims head/neck area. Any thoughts as to what this may be and how I can stop this behavior? It happens several times a day and through the night. Thanks!
Where are the links you mention
U mention twice about linking a video below, I canât find either of them :( can u add the biting inhibition video plz
I grew up with ferrets as a kid (half my life). I can't wait to have my own as an adult.
my ferret scratches my feet all the time
Wow what crazy footage of some bad furbabies! I know its educational but ( I guess it's a good thing) I've never seen a ferret act so bitey omg! I hope ppl have the patience to learn and take time with their ferret to train/ work w their ferret properly!! â€â€â€
Where did you buy the wall tunnel set up in your house? Or did you make it? Iâm thinking about getting something similar for my ferrets so they can play more but Iâm not sure where to look
6:27 piled on with ferrets. heaven.
ferrets play with each other a lot rougher, their skin it tougher. the bite inhibition section is really important so that the ferret can understand biting you in play is not the same as biting another ferret. there's so much misunderstanding and so many ferrets wind up in shelters or "released" because the human doesn't (or won't take the time to) understand. I've gotten ferrets from the store (once) and all other times via shelter.. and i've never had a problem that isn't resolved through patience, love, and understanding.
the only "bad" thing about ferrets is that they have such a short life. we get so attached, and they're gone so quickly. breaks my heart every time.
The licking your toes dry is so cute đ€Ł
Iâm getting my ferret on Tuesday canât wait
Exciting!
well i dont hv a ferret..but i guess this video can be handy for the future đ€·ââïž

Hello again.
Where did you get the tubs that are on your wall?
Haha the first video reminds me of my partner đ
There is no link in the description below for the videos mentioned. đ
Where did you get the pipes on the wall? Please let me know thanks!!!
Mine got be during an extended rough play session. Got me right in the web between the thumb and pointer. He was just too excited. I keep the play hand wrestling down to a few minuets at a time and break it up with chase the plastic bottle.
Hi. Where did you get that tunnel for the wall?
This video is very helpful, I just got my ferrets. 3 of them and 2 of them bite a bit, but one of them have a hard bite. I don't know the cause, it may be because they were pet store ferrets and we're there for 4 months
Baby ferrets from this one particular pet store bit like sharks. But the store employees didn't play with them or give them anything to chew on. Another store they were really sweet and cuddly, but the staff routinely played with them and they had all kinds of things to chew.
Imagine being trapped in a cage with only other Ferrets to bite. Is it any wonder they become furry sharks?
@@genewickersham4593 Exactly. And nothing to to chew and teeth on except other ferrets.
Same
Some ferrets love biting and others aren't so bothered. It's always play biting in my experience and it's just what they do. It's better if you've got tough hands, but don't put them near your face unless you really trust them.
Where are the links for the strategies
when showering i know they have raspatory issues. does bathroom fragrances bother them at all? what would you recommend?
When I owned one long ago. She NEVER bit only chew. When on my shoulder out and about she would chew my ear to let me know she needed to go bathroom (loved being on my shoulders), when someone she didn't know try to pick her up or chew on my finger when playing.
Where did you get all you tunes from, how did you mount
Notification squad!
Early enough for me to see it!
One of my two ferrets gives me the chomp whenever I put her in a stressful situation. We used to go play with a child pre covid and she would never ever bite the child but when we got back home she would look at me and bite my feet.
Thank you so much for the comment on my last comment and I was wondering why my ferret bit me
Of course! Thanks for messaging me!
And my ferrets just turned 1 year old So are they teething or biting
I have just gotten a new ferret after my last one passed away. My last ferret had only bit whist hyper. But my newest one, will bite my arms and feet all the time. Iâm away quite a bit due to school and work. But every time Iâm home I will spend all my time with my ferret. The person I had got her from said she was tamed and trained but not only is she biting but she is also using every spot in my bedroom as her bathroom
Many years ago when I had ferrets, one of them (a tiny little sweetheart we called "Lola") was snuggling with me on my chest. She started licking my cheek for a while, but suddenly bit into it. She wasn't a biter. I don't know where that came from at all. I made sure not to hold her within close proximity to my face anymore after that, but wish I knew what caused it.
I have one like this. I think it's the salty taste and soft texture of our skin that is too tempting for them. I equate it to being like when I chew fruity gum and can't help but swallow it; it's just too much for them to resist. My other one is the complete opposite though; bites when hungry and playing but never ever when licking faces.
Links to help with a biting?
Where is the biting bootcamp you said was linked? I cant find it :(
Iâm trying to find it too đą
Having FUN! They bite to communicate!

We've just got 2 4mo Jill's. Max is so placid but Munson is verrrrry nibbly and has even made little hisses. She's not hurt me, but it doesn't feel like play, it's a quick nip. Any and all techniques to hand train, discourage the nibbling Is always appreciated, thank you x
