rerolling 1's to wound is crazy. You're already on +1 to woudn with the red thirst on the charge so you're wounding most stuf fon 3's, rerolling 1's... Love it
Horde armies don't play well coming in at different turns. Also you need to use the stratagems opportunistic advance and overrun more often with your Genestealers, if you are just going to run one blob. Paroxysm is better then Onslaught also, it really helps protect your units and you didn't use onslaught at all. The fact is you can easily use Paroxysm every turn past the first turn, but Onslaught is best and most useful usually only of the first turn.
I can get behind the if you roll 2 dice with a NATURAL result of 1 is a failed charge idea. But Rolling higher but going below 3 AFTER negative modifiers just sounds awful to me. Personal opinion of course.
How did the furioso fail the 1 inch charge? You only need to arrive inside an inch of the charge targets and he was clearly just outside of 1". If you're 1.9 inch away from the enemy, wouldn't a 1 inch charge be successful?

But being just little over inch, rolling 1&2=3 from which you take out the -2", you still get within that one inch (lets say you're 1.5" away [being generous], you roll like in the video, you get a 1" charge roll. That does take you to 0.5" away from the enemy, aka within 1"). I was kinda ready to pull my hair when they announced that it had failed... Whoo boy what a brainfart...
Who’s ever played a game of 40k without making a mistake though? Especially when you play multiple armies in 8th edition. The individual armies are so complicated now with all the cards. It’s inevitable. It’s why I basically only play marines this edition despite having 5 different armies.
Maybe it's just me, but I really miss the little epilogues that used to scroll up after the videos. Still the best bat reps online, for my money. My hobby goal is to face Winters one day.
Great batrep. Was refreshing to see a fun game without maxing efficient units and net listing. What a difference the new supplement will make. Devastator doctrine would have stopped some of those lucky 6s to save. In the later rounds +1 attack in assault doctrine from “savage echoes” would have also been a great buff

Around 44:28 minutes he paid 1 cp to reroll a 2 for a psychic roll of smite from the zoanthropes and got a 1. But they are within 6" of the neuronthrope and he makes them reroll 1s. So he should have rerolled the reroll.
And the furiosa is not a failed charge @ 1:36:39. He throws 3" - 2 for terrain leaving him 1" charge. He is less than 2" away meaning 1" charge gets him less than 1" in and it's a successful charge
Forgive me if I'm wrong but that dread should have gone in. Hes one inch away, or just over, he charges 3 inches -2 for the crater which means he charges an inch. He's just over one inch away so he ends within an inch therefore a successful charge. How was it a failed charge?

Also, don’t you think it would be tactically better to fire the first salvo (when firing twice) at a chosen unit to see if you wipe it out, then you have options to fire the second salvo elsewhere!?... Doing it that way has worked out for me many times!!!👍

when those genestealers were getting shot by all the sanguinary guard and terminators in the 4th turn-was catalyst done off camera? Or did I miss it? Because I don't remember catalyst going off that turn and the genestealers got a *ton* of extra saves because of it, they probably would have lost half of their number or more without the catalyst saves

when rolling for the cataly st for all those 3 wound hits, just roll all the wounds at once, and if you roll a 5 or 6 roll again, and then if you roll any 5 or 6's roll again , it's waaaaayyyy faster

Honestly Winters sometimes has some of the most revolting save rolls I've ever seen. Death Guard in his hands seem infuriating to play against.

The Furioso does not fail the charge... with 1" move it gets within 1" from the Tyr => it was a good charge
That 3 inch charge 100% made it even with the -2 he was 1 inch away exactly. so even 0.5 inch would have got him "within an inch"

I was thinking the same thing. Even if you were exactly 2" away and had a 1" it would be successful wouldn't it? Because you aee then WITHIN an inch
Yeah that was a successful charge. I you have a 1.1" charge and only get a 1, you would be within 1" to make it.

1:36:30 the charge was successful. 3" roll minus 2" from the crater equals a 1" charge and he is 1,01" away.
That BA list is punchy and tough i like the sang combo!
The tyranid prime boosts the warrior to +1 to hit for both melee and shooting, warriors should be shooting on 3's instead, great video overall :)
