Its often never brought up, but the time you take to set up your table is very much appreciated. One thing I dont see alot of people do at my LGS is take time to thoroughly set up a good table for a game. It adds so, so much to the game.

i love it, at my GW most people just throw one big ruin and a couple small bits per tile and it gets so boring, i often sit there while waiting for people to organise lists making a city street with courtyards and different road routes through the board
i have never seen so much money in warhammer in one video before other than super sayin when he reviews the stuff.

@@ASNS117Zero I was part of a 10 man game where atleast each player had more several titans with knights. I had to borrow models just to play

After lots and lots.... and lots of research, I can soundly say that I prefer Winters batreps over any other on YT.
Striking Scorpion used to be really good, until a full length batrep, of nearly 4hrs, had so many ads, I calculated them as being one every 4 ½ minutes, which really broke up the tempo of the game ... And this was before CZcams started adding ads on even demonitised/non-monitised videos/channels ...
... so as good as the early videos were, and remain, quite possibly success went to his head ...

All those Nurgle knights look just amazing! It was hard to make out, but the first knight he zooms in on has a Nurgle boy for a head! Brilliant!
Best death guard knights iv seen. I don’t know which one I like the most. Those legs on the double battlecanon or that lancer pose. Both armies are mint thou. Love it.
Brendon Moore the legs on the Double battlecannon but i find that the best about the Knight is the disgusting belly and Head

i like to think that the relic theyre fighting over is the bell from the old bell tower in the middle. nurgle loves bells.

The rust on the chaos Titans is beautiful. How do you do it? IT's AMAZING!
It's pretty simple. Smother it in Typhus corrosion and dry brush with ryza rust
There is a cool product called Modern Masters Iron Paint & Rust Activator Kit which has actual iron in the paint and after you paint it on you then cover that with the activator it will actually rust the paint. It's a neat product you can find videos how to use it here on CZcams
Step 1: Sacrifice the Titan crews's soul to appease Papa Nurgle, and invite demon's in to use them as hosts.

This is such a unique and epic battle, could you imagine being one of the grunts on the ground with titans firing and falling all around you? Of course, you'd have to be a cold unfeeling half machine or a cold unfeeling moving corpse but my point still stands
Void Shields can be used to Save Against Mortal Wounds.
in addition I don't believe Mortal Wounds get Macro damaged doubled

Ngl I think the apply damage at the end of the round should be a universal rule in 40k, it’s heartbreaking to lose a key unit before it gets to move
While I do agree to some extent it does kinda fuck up the risk/reward side of things, besides, I think it would make strong melee units frightenly op. Imagine them charging and technically killing all of them, but they kill all of your units too.
SooCrazy o_0 that’s true, but melee currently is kinda underpowered imo so maybe it’d help to balance it a little? Idk I’m not an expert

Had to watch in two sittings but this was a fantastic report. This was everything I hoped for in Titanicus but didn't get. Well done winters this one was a classic.

Ohhhh boi! I havent seen the start of the battle yet, and am writing this at the 13:15 mark. And as a knights player, I know about all of them. And purely judging from which knights are facing which, I think the penitent forge will be having considerable trouble in this one.

Yo, newbie here who's feel in love with the modeling side and the books. I love your content (you're nice and easy to listen to) but have no idea what's going. Could you upload a tiny skirmish sometime, where you drag in a willing or unwilling friend who hasn't played that much and coach them though a match?
Mini war gaming has some great tutorial videos where they do just that! Really helped me get into the game when I first started

1:34:00 You're forgetting your own house rules Winters. Fear the Darkness wasn't bracketed, since you were taking wounds off the Reavers at the end of the battle round. He should've been fine.

I mean, I only have better range on all of my weapons, I have even four S10, minimum of damage 3 d6 weapons with re-rolls to all hits on my little guys, actual relics on my knight, army traits, stratagems, even robots that shoot a sh*tton of shots. You had pretty much the same, except your tiny guys were slower, had weaker shots that shot closer, costed twice as much thanks to DR, your knights could have had one useless relic, had one expensive as heck stratagem and zero army trait, even one melee knight. Oh, did I mention I went first as well? Amazing that you haven't done so well!" :D

Maybe you ought to ask for more help from the xenos. Been hearing that you've needed a lot of it lately... Necrons on Cadia... Aeldari on Macragge... Even lord Khorne against Tyrannids on Baal!
Maybe ask Tyrannids to aid you next? Might get even the big man himself off his potty with some additional pinchers... :D
@@Velgar_Grim He's currently busy keeping a second eye of terror from opening and holding up the astronomicon so he hasn't really had time to go on trips but he's doing relatively well otherwise

Winters, you are awesome, you are not afraid to do content that others shy away from and it is so much fun to watch. I dont even care there are mistakes when so many titans are blasting and guffing at each other. Fun to watch this.
I think it would be nice to have a room tour video to see the room you are filming in.

P.S. winters armigers dont count as lord of war slots for the purpose of command points unless the detatchment contains 3 or more big knights.
Armigers do count providing there is at least one bigger knight in the detachment (so you need at least two Armigers and one Questoris class for three command points). That was updated in the errata. If you have three bigger knights the detachment provides six command points.

Bloody Hell ! Thats some insane uinits in this game ! Not sure I have even seen all of those before ! Great to watch. Only kind of wish you would have used a table twice as big when you have that many big units.
The paint job on both armys are incredible
Great idea to have both big boys shoot once!
It would be weird though if you know one exploded but it's delayed until later. A slight simplification would be to have a Titan phase where both shoot (at each other other targets) then apply damage, then continue as usual.
I saw a bunch of Apocalypse games and the explosion damage was always really game changing. Spreading and advancing them forward can be extremely tactical, as is targeting the weakest link in big clusters first.
You are both very good at seducing the other to waste CP, or bad at resisting the urge! Still fun it's casual and not too competitive, that just doesn't suit these fun battles.
I think this is the first batrep I've seen where winters isn't the one getting screwed by the dice lol. I'd feel bad if it was possible to feel bad for a bunch of plague-ridden traitors.

Normally I don't enjoy watching these match ups. However this was thoroughly enjoyable! I think because Turn 1 didn't go as you expected it to go, so much still left on the board at the start of turn 3 which kept it interesting up till that point. Absolutely beautiful armies on both sides as usual!
Man, chaos looks so cool. I love my army for narrative, but they've been killed for competition. I started playing them in 4th. Now I find myself building my Necron and Ultra Marine force for tournament. Ill never abandon them for narrative though, ever! They have by far the coolest lore.
I just need more shelves. Im closing in on 20k points between 4 armies (my first was Orc, then Chaos, then Necron in 7th, and Ultra Marine since the start of 9.

Great batrep Winters. Thanks. Some people seem to complaint about how too easy it is for Imperium vs Chaos in a knight/titan battle like that. I think one simple way to balance it (the absence of strats, relics, combo with Mechanicus...) is that the Chaos player use Demons invocations. For the next one... By the way I thought this fight was the one against Geeks Wargaming's Reaver, what about his challenge to Fear the Darkness ?

Awesome display of models! I just thought I’d throw a suggestion on keeping the one re-roll per phase thing? It makes it less exciting when you have unlimited re-rolls for a 3++ and means you get to use more stratagems which is more entertaining imo. But still what a spectacle thanks for making it happen!
I like winter's Titan paint job it looks like Mars tech persists take good care of their mechs seeing how valuable they are

Loved to see some views from behind the mighty titans, for example at 19:00 , I really love the painting on the chaos forces, stunning! Of course the mechnicum is great too, but the rusty-nurgle-plague-tutans are RAD! Dem fleshy/rusty details, yeah! Plus: 01:34:24 Isn't that a 10, not an eleven or did I miss there something? I do like that rule modification where shooting damage is applied at the end of a battle round. I always feel that the player who shoots first in 40k has a huge advantage and in a real battle everything happens simultaneously anyway.
The Penitent Forge found the arm of a Aeldari Reverent Titan.
The level of painting is incredible
great battery. love the big toys coming out for a run. i do think that the multiple use of stratagems was a bit of a bummer a retooling a load of invulns isn't very fun. also macro is a stupid rule to have when you want to use your big toys.
Winters you can’t take Traitors Pyre in a Questor Mechanicus house, it is Questor Imperialis only, unless they have faq’d it.
That nurgle army gives me ideas/ the motivation to finally finish my knight conversion and paint it, it's still in pieces right now, first model iv ever done a sub assembly over.
