I've never seen those spiral wrist pin retainer clips before, like they say fear of the unknown, I'd be afraid that I wouldn't get one seated right and the clip and pin would walk out and destroy the cylinder wall, did something like that When I was a kid on a Honda motorcycle engine.

They spiral clips are a bear to get in. You can easily see that they are in and seated correctly.

What rod bearings did you run and did you check the clearances??

I believe they were king rod bearings
