    I'm liking this, I've got a 2004 Silverado with a 5.3 I'd like to swap in a L92 6.2 with a Truck Norris cam and beehive valve springs for a start and then go for some long tube headers and 3" true dual exhaust. I'm thinking these 6.2's are common in Denali's and fairly low cost so I can do a budget build as I go along.

    What crank did you end up going with? I plan on watching your entire build serious good stuff so far.

    Did you have to get any machine work done for the 4 inch crank to work? I'm working on an lr4 and wanting to put in a 4 inch crank but need to know if I need machine work done first

      I didn't need to have the block clearance for the crankshaft.

    Whats the purpose of drilling that center hole? is it bc you switched to arp studs?

    • @Slicpartna
      @Slicpartna  Před 8 měsíci

      yes, the arp studs apply a greater clamping force to the main caps which also affects the clearance. without the proper clearance poor oil pressure would be experienced and premature failure

      After all this I installed a 2000 stall converter in my truck it was running fine but it didn’t have the power that I was looking for! I changed it to a 3200 stall and now it seems like it’s stuck in third gear reverse works fine

      it’s stuck in 3rd gear and the RPMs are high! I was thinking it might be the new stall converter but, it drives and reverse works well!
