    Thank you for clarifying that. When i started, I made syndet bars (because that was what I found first), but then I found them to be expensive. So I looked into it some more and discovered the difference bet syndets and soap-based shampoo bars. I decided to stick to making syndets even if they are expensive. I don't think the soap-based are really good on the hair even with all the oils in it.

    Thanks for sharing this syndet bar recipe, it looks great. Would you say you could press it into a more complex mould when it gets a bit thick, to make it have a pretty pattern or shape?

    I'm excited to try this. Can sodium lactate be omitted or substituted with anything else?

    • @SummerRainDIY
      @SummerRainDIY  Před rokem +1

      Try leaving it out, you should still get a nice solid bar. If it is too dry add a little carrier oil.

    what is the total active surfactant matter do you usually go by when making shampoo bar?

    • @SummerRainDIY
      @SummerRainDIY  Před 7 měsíci

      A shampoo bar is going to have a high active surfactant matter as it is concentrated.

      Haha, brain tarts happen to the best of us! But hey, the beauty of these recipes is that you can scale them up to any size batch you need, whether in grams or ounces, by using the percentages provided in the recipe. Hope that helps! I
