I bought one new May 5, 1984. Red with the same gray "mouse fur" interior shown here. I was young & this was an 'alternative ' choice after checking out the hi-priced all-new Datsun 300ZX models. They wanted $19,000+ for them & a fully loaded Impulse was $11,380. I've owned many new cars since then from high end German to American Muscle, but the 1984 Impulse was one of my faves. It had lots of personality & stood out from the crowd!
Man, my first car was a 89 non turbo model impulse and I wish I still had her. This is one of the most unique imports. I hope you plan to hold onto it because it's super rare. 2ho knows what value they will hold 10 years from now.
You scored yourself a beautiful little car I remember it well I had a impulse same car I had a red one I love that little car hope you enjoy it as well
Hello, I have a 1989 non turbo. Previous owner tried to turn it into a race car. Been trying to make it streetable for Texas. In other words the air conditioning has to work. otherwise I like it better than the turbo because it has instant torque. looking for interior parts. Mainly upper plastic trim. It's a lot of fun.
Did you still own the Impulse? If that true could you make a short video showcasing the auto cancell function of the turn signal switch, just literally turn the signal, move the steering and see how it autocancel, like literally no one on the internet show that for some reason
Do you have one for sale? What country ? Quite difficult to tell, as there hasnt been one for sale in a while. It depends on the condition of the car, as always. Rust, engine condition, if its roadworthy etc..
I had an ‘83 Impulse. Gorgeous car!

The styling of this car holds up well. Still looks sharp all these years later. Thanks for the headlight demo too. I was looking for that.
That's brilliantly in-depth! Now I want one.
That's the Impulse I always liked it.
Yüzyılın en iyi tasarımı ve de en iyi japon otomobili muhteşem
Guy down the street had one when I was a teenager, this version was very high build quality.

still one of the best dashboard car in the era.
Reminds me how cheaply those dash switches & gear felt. Even the glove box mechanism. Ultramodern design for 1983-4, but so cheaply made.
Marvelous
out of this world

My cousin had one. That's the car he taught be standard driving in. The weirdest thing was reverse, it was under 1st gear. Great car though.

Nice Car. Wasnt it on the Last Car to use Same Chassis as the Kadett C? I Love the Piazza.
I had a red '88 turbo model. What a fun car to drive. Sadly it was stolen one night from in front of the house.

Thought about selling it? Let me know
I'm not sure where this car is, but if you ever wanna sell it, let me know. I'm in the states(florida).
Nevermind that. Just saw the license plate at the end of the video. Hold on to that jewel! I have a feeling it'll be worth a lot in 10 years.
Where’s the lotus emblems?
Lotus model years are 88-89 only..
Better build than today's modern junk, actually all your buying now a days is just molded ABS PLASTICS!
