The reason a lot of these carts seem to throw in a Football (soccer) title is that the major audience for this system and games is actually the EU area.
They need Neo Geo games.
Evercade is definitely on to something, taking a brief catalog of any one developer, across different platforms and press some of their games to a cartridge for $20 !!! Not bad, glad I bought in!!! 👍🏿👍🏿 Sidebar , I really hope Metal Dragon gets a release for this console.
Needed Amiga Harlequin, Supercars 2 and Lotus 2 and/or 3. Would have been nice if it also had some of the 80s 8-bit home computer stuff they did too like Thing On A Spring and Trailblazer.
Already preordered this one trough Videogameplus in Canada. I spent the entire summer of 1992 playing Utopia. The goal of the game is to beat the enemy on the hardest difficulty. I'm looking forward to play it on my Evercade VS.

Looking forward to getting my hands on both these new carts. Both represent great value.....though I did expect to play the Renovation cart more. I had the 4x4 game back in the day....on the PS1. Gaming memories 😁👍.

Def a weaker cart for me personally, however I'd like that 3D soccer game cuz it kinda reminds me of Worldwide Soccer 98 on Saturn, and Zool is a guilty pleasure.
Dude I loved worldwide soccer on the Saturn! So many good gems on the Saturn. Can you do a book on SATURN games like u did the 32x?
Its a cart that has more appeal to people in the EU.
Actua Soccer 3 (UK release title) is peak Actua Soccer on PS1. Still have the original game I bought back in the day.
@Brian Babin I agree 100%. Some of my greatest memories of gaming were on the saturn. Such an underated system. First time playing Virtua Fighter, or Virtua cop blew my mind. Burning Rangers, Guardian Heroes, Astal, Panzer Dragoon series, Shinobi, I can go on and on!
I do like this collection. Already finished hardcore 4x4 on the first difficulty. Wish the tracks would be a bit more open. its like driving through a pipe. Zool is fun too but way to fast. Kinda wish they had used the 50hz Version instead to slow it down ab it. My personal favorite on this card is Brain Bender, really loving that one
Was a Zool fan on the Amiga when it first came out but that was probably because I didn't own a Sega at the time. I don't think I've emulated it for many years, so will be a good nostalgic trip but the other games trash. Will still pick up the cart for completionist purposes. Cheers for the vid.
On the Commodore 64 I used to play a game called „Deflektor“, it was a similar concept like the Mind Bender game. I didn‘t know more games like that existed. I will probably get this collection because of Utopia and Mind Bender.
Zool is an interesting one. It was recently remade by a group of trainee devs as part of a course. It would have been great if they could have included the remake as it fixes a lot of issues with the original. I played Hardcore 4x4 and actually soccer on sega saturn, both are average. Premier manager is a legend in sim football games but its not for me. Its a cart I will probably pass on.

If money is a problem Raspberry pi or PC has you covered.
If you’re more of a purest, collect Original Hardware or a Analogue FPGA systems.
It's for the ones that wants to collect physical officially licensed "retro" games, but don't want to deal with the hassle of old consoles and overpriced or hard to get game collecting. And they don't want to deal with emulators and pirated ROMs either.
Mainly European retro fans. A lot of the games in these collections have the same appeal as people in the USA have for certain NES games.
Many games on these carts are games people would never seek out on their own. Face it people play emulators for games they grew up with. Evercade is giving you games that you never knew you wanted. Plus indie and Homebrew games.

PlayStation emulation you say? Maybe Evercade can put some of those Net Yaroze indie games on a cartridge. Remember I played a lot of Psychon that was included on one of those Playstation Magazine demo discs.
I had that soccer manager game and played it to death. I eventually won all the trophies in a season, at which point it hard crashed the single save lol.

Those games suck!!! Good review but I would have gotten mad if I bought that and received those games.
It has the value for 20 bucks. And Zool and utopia are titles that is unique enough as a reason to own the cart to me.
2 of the games on this cart do not load on the VS but they do on the handheld which I find strange

They could have taken premier manager off and put Actua Golf instead. Far better game. And why none of the Lotus driving games?

I had no idea what Utopia was and I instantly recognised it as a prequel to K240. I put insane hours into that game

This cart is sadly underwhelming. Especially when compared to the other one. Realistically if this cart is $20, as the other one was, you are paying $3.33 per game so it meets expectations.
Those Chupa Chups lollipops which Zool promotes is really old I remember seeing them when I was young but I don't think I ever had one. But they didn't last too long in P.R. Maybe in Europe they are still around. Zool had several versions on several systems and a sequel on the Jaguar I think. But it was more popular on the Amiga CD32 system. But this cart is lackluster if Zool is the showcase game and the other games are more for European tastes. And only 6 games? Really? If people buy it it will be to have the whole collection of carts rather than value. Its a pass for me. Good review and cool video Ron!👍

I don't like when a soccer game has the guy running with the ball and it seems to stick to his feet rather than being kicked about a foot in front of him as in real life soccer.

Man these games look like trash, but sadly i won't be cancelling my preorder because I have to have the complete set.
@@kevinbbadd, there is a part of me that wants the Worms cart so bad, but I'm not going to pull the trigger on it because none of those games appeal to me. I have all the other carts and play at least a few games on each. I'll probably pass on this one, too.
