the fact that they played “fly me to the moon” to this game is something else lol
Why?
As a film student myself, I love hearing how directors made their scenes. You can obviously see how passionate he is about directing!
As a cybersecurity student, I make a point to express my passion for it. When you find your calling, attract as many people as you can with your passion - they will boost you.
i love ho yeon and jung jae just drawing on the screen and goofing off while the director is being all technical and analyzing everything lmao. but joking aside props to the director, he made this amazing show so well and im so happy it bacame viral world-wide since he had been working on it for so long.
About Gi Hun being safer without Ali grabbing him, he probably would have been safer in that moment but it would have taken him a bit longer to get up the next round, and he barely made it in time as is so I think Ali actually did save him.
Good analysis
Also very unlikely he would've landed and not rebounded or moved in some kind of way he was taking a pretty big fall it's not like he was sitting down he was kinda flying forwards
Love hearing the director’s intentions and decisions, especially in something like squid game where it’s clear just how thoughtfully crafted a scene is. Bravo to all! 잘했어
The director is so intense and nerdy! I love him and all the cast and crew. It also seems like he's becoming more comfortable in front of the camera!

(If u dont get it thats also ali's number)
It's 288 now. Not a key number in Squid Games, but it's 2 gross (144) ... phonetically like "too gross", which describes the violence of the show.
I love that Sangwoo's number is a swear word. lmao
it is?
@@yuenmienyu he talks about it at 7:00
This was one of the most original and best shows I've seen in a long time. Fantastic.
Well it is not the most original. We have many such "forced to play in a competition for rich guys" movies. But still a very good one.
It’s the same idea as battle royale and hunger games
To have debt-ridden participants to willingly compete in a DOA children's game - That's quite original.
@@nikhilreddy8550 yes but remember he had this idea since 2009. Don't remember many movies before that with the same synopsis
@@stickybunnn The Hunger Games. I remember seeing similar B-Grade movies with such a concept.
I just googled this part out of curiosity. Japanese novel "Battle Royale" written in 1999 is being given credit for these type of genres. Makes sense as there were many such movies with such concept since early 2000s.
the effort the director and cast put into making this one game is just wow. squid game is a literal masterpiece
It is okay
@@szymko7 i mean the amount of thought and the process of making it is more than okay
@@wajiharahman6387 many other movies had 10 x more effort put into it than squid game. The effort is not always correlated to success, There are many other factors that contributed to it's success other than how much effort they put in making the movie. But the effort was done efficiently.
@@samehemad1359 it had been thoroughly planned since 2008, the sets and thought put into making it is amazing
A sign of a good director is when he can explain the symbolism behind a scene while also pointing out the mistakes he made along the way
As a filmmaker myself, I heavily enjoyed the director explain his intentions of this scene and it just makes me love the show's filmmaking craft even more
HOWS NOBODY TALKING BOUT HOW THE DIRECTOR STARTED WRITING THE SCRIPT IN 2009!?!?!
Yeah he couldn’t get it made and almost gave up on it.
yup, many people dont realize how long it takes to write a good book or a script. My mother for instance is an author and she has been writing the same book and fixing details in it for well over 5 years.
Because most people are aware of it so at this point it's so overly talked about that it holds no intrigue anymore
@𝒩𝒶𝓃𝒶𝓈𝒽𝒾 thats the point, you might be "ready" with the script until its declined, and you end up fixing and modifying the script over and over again until someone takes it.
Hwang Donghyuk is an absolute mastermind. He designed the role of Seong Gihun specifically for legendary Lee Jungjae, and he hired the charming Jung Hoyeon to fulfill the all-around Kang Saebyeok. Plus, even hiring all of the visual effects specialists and audio engineers to add in small but significantly fulfilling details, he's quite an impressive individual. So glad he finally had a project reach this level of cultural significance, he definitely deserves it!
We need to thoroughly commend this guy for making such a good plot. The fact that it was being wrote in 2009 really shows how much time and effort it takes.
The giant doll in this sequence was terrifying
Such a brilliant mind. The Squid Game has many layers and it is an excellent critical description of our society.
I feel like I could listen to the director and cast talk about this show for hours. So well made! Also loved the tidbit about the music machine!
I really like this director and the way he thinks
this is the best series humans have ever produced they are a culture of hardwork and discipline after all
I love this because it shows the realities of making this film and really shows some behind the scenes one would have never thought of otherwise.
literally such a great director.
Squid Game changed my life. It opened my eyes to what was possible in storytelling.
You realise it’s literally just another generic death game story right? There are a million others exactly like it
@@Oboreru493 Yeah, the other ones are garbage. Shallow and forgettable.
@@johnta17 just like Squid Game...
@@Oboreru493 yh ok..... keep hating. That's your opinion

love the story behind the 'fly me to the moon' song choice
Wow, the Director sang in the same exact key, seemingly without a reference note. wonder if h me has perfect pitch
i thought they were watching on the screen? but good point, interesting if he does have perfect pitch
Geeze, HoYeon is absolutely stunning
Yo the director had a such a good idea for this series to come to this world its fantastic and good players like gi hun sae byeok sang woo like it's a fantastic series 👏
We need a directors cut of the entire series!!!!
An iconic scene with an amazing breakdown 🙌🏽
7:33, the moment when this pretty lady caught my eyes.
This shot was so mesmerising.
The slow mo and the expression of Sae Byuk and Deuk So, (sorry for the wrong spelling..) is so good to watch.
I repeated this shot over plenty of times. 👍
Keep your hands above the waist buddy...
@@Jaydogg222 ahh? You okay buddy?
Not sure what you meant by that, but let's assume you're thinking like somewhat malicious thingy or sexualizing as you might assumed of me but nah.. 😒😒😒

Great show
JJ is so different to Gi-Hun. When I first saw JJ In an interview in America I can't believe he played Gi-Hun. They are opposite to each other.
I love them
Happy Thursday
Their English is so cute ♡︎
Keep pushing the new SG content out in time for reward season! Good luck guys. We're hoping the cast and crew win all the awards they're up for! We know how long these artists have been striving for wider acclaim and recognition. It's your time! The world is literally watching!! 🏅🏆🎖🦑🦑🦑

Yes
"Thanks, it's got pockets"
Hooooyeon lovly🇮🇷
MrBeast is gonna be so pissed when he finds outs it was all VFX
They should make different versions of the games with different countries playing their own childhood games
@Jayden Jones While that does sound entertaining, after a while I just think it will just become repetitive and boring regardless of the difference in games because of cultural differences and customs.
red light green light scene was a masterpiece
How did you make a squid game I really like your game
This reminds me of the Netflix movie (not the show) The Circle where they’re abducted by aliens and they have to kill each other off to survive, I won’t spoil it, but it’s worth watching! In the beginning you might be a tad bit confused, but it gets really interesting! ❤️
